D28 - The first day in the fourth week of veg for Nordle #2 and the start of the third week for #1. I gave both girls around 2.5-liters of the compost tea I started brewing yesterday, and for once, I remembered to check the pH and adjust it to 6.5. Yay, progress! D29 - Today, it was finally time to top the second girl. She was already seven nodes tall, around 30 cm. First, I got everything together as I prefer to have what I need before starting instead of running around looking for something mid-process: Snips, a couple of glasses with water to put cuttings in, bonsai wire and soil staples, clone-gel and a new razor blade, dwc cloner, peppermint oil and Q-tip. After cleaning the snips thoroughly with alcohol, I topped her just above her fourth node. I'm going to mainline her, so I removed everything below the fourth as well. She went from a lush lady to a stick figure! I secured her remaining two branches using staples and wire. The final touch in the tent was to put some peppermint oil on a Q-tip. Bugs and pests are attracted to the scent of injured plants. On the other hand, they hate the smell of peppermint oil, and it should deter the critters even though the girl smells like a buffet. I bought this tiny DWC system for a few bucks off Amazon a while back and want to try it as a cloner. (The primary purpose of this cloning project is to practice taking clones, plus see how well this hydro system works.) I trimmed each cutting before lightly scraping the stalk, making a fresh cut with the razor blade, and finally into a net-pot. I had planned to put some clone-gel into the water, but it turned out that the bottle had gone bad since last time. Oh well, pure water for this test run then. Finally, I cut up all the removed leaves and stalks into small pieces and distributed them on top of the soil in the pot. Have to keep that nutrition cycle going. Plus, like this, I don't have to worry about safely disposing those telltale leaves. Win-win in my book. D34 - The final day in the fourth week of veg for Nordle #2 and the end of the third week for #1. #2 has recovered great after her first topping, and I'm planning on doing her second topping tomorrow, six days after the first. #1 is a week behind so I'm planning on topping her in a couple of days as I want to make sure that her fourth node is at the same height as the fourth node on the second girl. The clones are looking really healthy but no roots yet but maybe that is to be expected considering that I'm using no rooting hormones.

I've Transplanted this beautiful amnesia Fast into a 15l pot and I'll start applying LST technique very soon, let's see how this pretty lady performs 💚👨‍🌾🌱

Finally got myself a dehumidifier, now i can controll the humidity in my room because it often went above 60% 🤷‍♂️🏻 Also love how the big northern light is really packing some weight! & the buds on the bottom look as good as the ones more on top!! Can’t wait till i can harvest all of em😁

Going to start flushing the shorter plant but keeping the taller on feeds for at least another week.

All I can smell is Garlic and onions when I enter the vicinity of these plants…. After a few weeks fighting a systemic infection in the hydro system and res the plants have stabilized and are PUNGENT… loudly pungent!!!

Week 6 starts 12/31/21 but I happened to notice a weird leaf the night before. The Northern Light X Blueberry auto is very dark green and has sharp downturned tips. Which starts down the rabbit hole of google search to see the cause. I decide that is is Nitrogen toxicity caused by underwatering. At this time I was not really paying attention to when I feed them just whenever the pots were light. I watered them I later realize that while it may have started with underwatering it was so many other problems at once. I forgot to check the ppm or ph going in one day last week so I checked them going out. The run off was 2700ppm and I forgot to look up what that meant. I also doubled the strength of the nutes. 1/2 Saturday I flushed all the plants with 5 gallons of fresh water each that read 6.43 ph & 51ppm. I have Fox farm sledge hammer but for some reason I decided to use just water. The run off was consistently 6.2ph and I rinsed until the ppm was about 450 on NB. 250 ppm on Gorilla Glue and Pineapple express. I then decided that since it was nitrogen toxicity from underwatering that I should not starve the plant so I gave her week 1 of flower nutrients from the Foxfarm feeding schedule at 1/2 strength. I did not use Calmag since it's nitrogen was 2 and I didn't add the boomerang because that has nitrogen as a 1 and I thought since this plant has nitrogen toxicity I should skip the extra 3 nitrogen for now. I set each plant up on blocks so air could totally circulate to dry out the pots. Turned the fans on and waited. 1/6 There has been almost no growth since the flush. NB started off at a little over 9 inches and if I stretch her she is 10 at most.

So I was really happy to have the opportunity to grow this strain I have my clones are ready My next grow will be sour headband and GDP they are all in veg

Start of week 4 and the washing machine looking great, got the scrogg net laid down and will be just tucking branches back under the net. After digging out the Jaffa plants which were not growing at all we realised that they came in soil not coco, after cleaning off the soil and treating with super thrive and great white, giving them a new mix of Coco and some food at 1.0ec they begin to show signs of life 🙌 Hopefully they catch-up with the washing machine. Not seeing any major signs of deficiency or toxicity atm

Hey everyone 😃. This week she has done great 👍. It was done again on all the drifted topping and sprayed one last time with neem oil so that the last trips are finally gone 😁. We haven't had any pests for so many years and all of a sudden we have such little shit parts 😅. This week it was poured twice with 1.2 l of water. GHSC enhancer was added during a pouring (1 g per l) The tent was cleaned every day this week and the plants were checked for health. The humidifier is filled once a day. Got hydro halos setup because I need to be able to go away for work for a few nights, Was actually really easy to setup and works awesome, I got most the parts plus all my nutes from my local hydro store. I'm using cocoforcannabis.com as a guide for most of this grow and his site includes details on how to setup an auto watering system. At this point I'm still using Professors Go Green for cal-mag and following the GP3 feed chart to mix nutes to the right ratio and then diluting with cal-mag water to target EC (300-400EC for wk 1). Some of the plants had clawing leaves and were really dark green - I read that this could be caused by nitrogen toxicity and I'm concerned this may be due to the Go Green as it seems to be intended as more of a deficiency fix rather than a regular use cal-mag supplement for coco. Some of the leaves on one of the plants started getting rust spots like calcium deficiency, Canna Coco comes pre-buffered and I was adding Go Green so it had plenty, I think the likely case is that nitrogen toxicity may be blocking calcium intake also. I intend to change to Green Planets Pro-Cal which has low nitrogen and is made to work with their line of nutes. Also we named the girls! My roommate and I were pretty baked if you can't tell...

So close to ready, I probably could take her down now, but my thinking is that since this is a cbd strain, I'll leave her longer and get more of that couch lock. Flushing her so giving 0 nutrients, only phdown. She is in the garage more than she is outside because the weather is so bad, so I improved her accommodation, put her under a couple of sky100s and surrounded with some reflective material I have, bundled the buds as close as possible to get more lights concentrated.
