End of week 8! Took the girls off their nutes and starting the flush. Lowered the light intensity for 2 reasons. 1. It’s hot as balls and 90+ with no Silca could be an issue. They actually seem to be much happier already with only being a few degrees lower. 2. I want to see if less intense light/heat could replicate the end of the season sun if they were growing au natural 🤷‍♂️🏻

End of day 48 flower and girls are super frosted. Took a sample from day 42 flower of White Widow and it was one of the best I EVER smoked with a head punch right after the smoke leaves your mouth. It was incredible and can’t imagine how she’s gonna be after harvest. Might harvest half early and half late to get the best of both worlds. Still feeding them nutes and will slowly drop down as the days count down towards harvest. Will also be turning down the daylight time from 12/12 to 11/13 to 10/14 to 9/15 to 8/16 and then 72 hrs of darkness. I plan on getting the most resin out of her as possible. End with a split stem and ice cold water.

They were heavy when I took them out to hang dry. Not sure what I would yield at all, I will definitely get a dry weight.

2/5/25 shes a bush thats for sure. excited to see what she does. i top dressed with 10 ml grow 5ml bloom and 5 ml 2/8/25 shes starting to stack up

Everything's well 4 days till week 3

The medium had issues from, pretty much, day one.. She did show the issues on the leaves.. But it did NOT slow her down a bit.. She outgrew her side of the tent. Very stretchy! Super pretty.. I feel I got a very Mandarin Sunset pheno type.. Looks alot like the pics of ETHOS Mandarin Sunset.. But wow.. Great terpy strain also.. Very lemony.. I love ETHOS!

Plants are really flowering still small but plant one has a lot of tops now and plant 2’s buds are already getting dense.

She’s off to a beautiful start. When she has 5 sets of leaves (or when she shows deficiencies) I’ll adjust her nutrients to about 2x current strength. In 2018 at the first ‘Copa Del Sol’ Cannabis Cup in Lima, Peru, Dutch Passion won 1st Prize in the Outdoor category with Passion Fruit.

Apr 20: They hanging out at 65% rh and 65F.. Going for 7-10 day dry… No wet trim, cut plants in half and hung… Very happy with density and resin production… Can’t wait to jar and test in 2-3 weeks… I feel comfortable with this strain, I think it’s time to move on… Really wanna run some Mephisto seeds….

So this final week the buds on this Orange Hill Special are filling out. They are getting rock solid and the calyxes are doing their final swelling. Also, the trichomes have started forming and up close, they are forming a white sticky film over the whole bud. The buds feel heavy and compact, although their size could have been bigger but not complaining with this amount of bud. I have just been feeding some perma tea and clean water since this soil is probably very high in nutes by now. I had some brown leaf points so just adjusted and all was fine. Now we go into the final one or two weeks. I did some final defoliation to expose some underside buds, they are swelling too. Removed some sticky underside larf, kept it in a box to gradually dry for a preliminary taste test coming days. 🇺🇸Week 3🇺🇸 – Growth Explosion & First Training Back again for this week’s update! The Mother Gorilla is going crazy—she’s growing at an insane pace, and honestly, I couldn’t be happier. The plant is super strong, and the leaves are just massive. Some are reaching up to 21 cm long, which is wild. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that before. And honestly, I have to say—I’m seriously impressed by Formulex from Growth Technology. I’ve been using the same nutrient solution since the start, and the results are just insane. It’s such a simple product, but what it’s delivering so far is absolutely incredible. I’ll be switching to growth fertilizers soon (they’re on the way), but for now, I’m sticking with Formulex, and it’s honestly blowing my mind. Environmental Conditions Not much has changed on that front. The environment is still dialed in: • Temperature: ~22-23°C during the day, 18°C at night. • Nutrient solution temp: Holding steady at 17-18°C. • pH levels: Hovering around 5.8-6.0—had to adjust it slightly during the week, but nothing major. It’s stable overall. • VPD (Vapor Pressure Deficit): Still around 0.6, which seems to be working well. As long as it stays below 0.8, I think we’re in the sweet spot. • Humidity: Holding at 70%. Everything’s been pretty stable, and it looks like the plant is loving it. Major Work This Week – Defoliation & Topping This week was huge in terms of plant training. The foliage was getting super dense, so I went in for a heavy defoliation, removing all the big fan leaves. On top of that, I topped the plant—cut the main shoot to redirect energy towards the secondary branches. The goal is to push those side branches so they can take full advantage of the SCROG I just set up! Now, it’s all about recovery. Hopefully, she bounces back strong, and we can really start working that SCROG. Alright, that’s it for this week! Let’s keep an eye on things and see how she responds. Et franchement, je dois le dire—je suis vraiment impressionné par le Formulex de chez Growth Technology. J’utilise exactement la même solution nutritive depuis le début, et les résultats sont juste dingues. C’est un produit hyper simple, mais ce que ça donne pour l’instant, c’est vraiment incroyable. Hi All, We are approaching harvest and will only use PHed water this week. Trichomes are mostly opaque and maybe 3-5% amber. This is my first time growing this strain so I don't know how she will finish. So I think I am going to chop part of it and leave the rest to ripen for another week. So stay tuned... ***Mid-week update*** Week 7 day 5 Made a cut and dried it for a day. Placed it under the microscope and took some photos and video. I think she has at least another week to go. I will only use Phed water this week. Maybe a molasses flush on week 7 day 7. Since this is my first time growing this strain and this is from seed so I might do a first cut and let it really mature for another week or two just to see if the bud will keep swelling up.
