Week 4 is here,

12/6 Update - seed is germinated and ready to grow! I will post a new weekly update tomorrow! So I had to scrap this plant - it was just growing too slow and it was unfortunately not a health plant. I decided to remove the plant altogether and have started a new seed. Since this plant will be four week behind its neighbor in the tent I will have to modify my approach to training on this one. I typically mainline - mostly just to utilize the space in the best way that I can. This time around I think I will just top it maybe once or twice and then let it recover for two weeks then flip to flower and manage out the lower branches from there. It will be kind of fun to do a side by side with these. The neighbor plant is super healthy and is almost ready for its first topping, I did however go through today and remove all of the growth from the plant (other than topping) so that should slow that one down quite a bit and give this new plant some what of a chance to catch up. Also - check out the worms!!! I pulled out that plant and reached down into the soil just to see what the worm activity was looking like - I pulled out this little ball of freshly hatched worms! Barney's Farm Gorilla Zkittles - Feminized. I'll be growing just one of these plants in this 2x4x5 tent. It will be growing side by side with another plant but I wanted to be able to document them separately. This is my fourth grow using this set up, I'm excited to document the process this time around! Boy Moby Dick is one tough girl she can and has taken a beating ...Between cold weather ,rain , humidity and just about everything it could get she pushed on ... Nothing too wild happened this week. I trimmed her up a bit today before taking pictures, she’s looking good. Doesn’t seem like much is really going on with the plant, but the buds do seem to be getting bigger. While trimming today, I think I found a spider in the leaves I removed. Should I be worried about this? It’s either eating insects or it’s just in there right? Hopefully there are no bugs for this thing to eat. 4 more weeks of flower. Wednesday update: Had an issue. Seems my timers stopped working. Light and filters/fans. Not sure when it happened, but I've reset lights to the normal time setting. Hope this doesn't affect her

* Looks like we got 2 males so far number 2 and 6. *Soil Ph climed back up to 6.2 by adding about 1TBs of lime. *On one of the males I believe #2 I did find what appears to be thrips. So I sprayed down everything no sign of anything on any plant. Now that i see it they are small aphids *Increased PH from 450 to 550

This week I stopped to feed the smaller one which is maturing faster and doing now flushing. The bigger one is still fed because the flowers are looking too young and will propably improve their size. I think I'll do the harvest of the bigger one on 20th of August. The smaller one goes in ca. 5-8 days maybe I think.

Hello Growmies, The first week of flowering has wrapped up, and I'm pleased to report that she's stretched evenly through the ScrOG. I've been doing some light defoliation where leaves were overshadowing other shoots. She's showing a clear preference for a pH below 6. Anytime it creeps above that, the plant begins to experience nutrient lockout. I'm keeping a close eye on this and will adjust the pH as necessary. Her root system is expanding robustly, gearing up for increased growth above ground. To support this, I've upped the dosage of Orca along with the boost accelerator. In all this was a terrible harvest, and because I also do videos for my YouTube channel I don't update on Grow diaries properly which I will start doing with future grows.... Well on my next harvest will definitely do a better job of documenting my harvest details. But in regards to the Dark Phoenix, yeah not a strain I'm a fan off. At first I kept telling myself that I done a terrible job that's why i don't like it... But I need to keep in mind that I'm not going to like all strains, all strains are different and we all have different preferences. Some people might like the Dark Phoenix, me personally I'm not a fan. It has that earthy taste to it... Hashy/kushy...... Smoking it as I'm typing that's why 😅 and even with a longer cure I doubt it would make much of a difference to make me like it. But in all still a nice smoke, good high from her, the high hits you straight away and keeps you active and creative.... Don't know what else to say about her really, just trying to give you guys the best most accurate review that I can without bringing my own personal thoughts about the strain. I might not like it but its still a good smoke. 👍🏾😎

Week 5 – All calm before the swell 🌊🌿 The Lemon OG girls are moving into mid-flower and staying true to their name: calm, consistent, and frosty. The structure is set, stretch is over, and now it’s all about stacking. Buds are forming nicely and trichomes are coming in stronger each day. No major issues, just some fine-tuning and observation. This week’s feeding: 💧 15L water 🌸 60ml Biobizz Bloom 🌿 20ml Topmax 30ml CalMag ⚖️ 1.6g Epsom salts 🍯 50ml molasses 30ml EM (effective microbes) Everything looks on track. This week has been a tough week as my son got into a bad accident so I wasn’t able to be home with the plants. I was away in the hospital for five days. I must say the one time I wasn’t home the system failed me by not draining after one of the feeding. In which caused my plants to get a little bit of a deficiency and bite burn as well. So I was very disappointed in that. Other then that they kept growing at light speed and the topped one is like oooooo watch me watch me and just showing off lol 😆! I don’t have many pictures from my phone only from my camera in the tent. So not the best quality but it’s something right? Before diving into the details, let’s start with a note on my flowering timeline. While this is Week 4, I don’t start counting flower days the moment I flip to 12/12. Instead, I wait for the plants to show true signs of bloom. It’s a small but significant distinction that keeps things accurate and aligned with the plants’ development. 🌱 Defoliation: Timing is Everything! Defoliation is a critical part of the flowering stage, and I typically wait until Day 21. However, this week, I tackled it earlier on Day 17 because: 1️⃣ The room was simply too full. 2️⃣ And most importantly—the Papaya Zoap had other plans! She’s a fighter—determined, defiant, and constantly reaching for the moon. Despite intense training like super cropping, she’s still pushing upward, nearly outpacing the LED lights. Challenges like this remind us of a simple truth: gardening mirrors life. It’s about resilience, adaptation, and unwavering determination. 💪 This week, I added a second SCROG layer. While this net will support the flowering colas, it’s also there to strategically manage the Papaya Zoap. Why? Because experience has taught me that if she grows out of the LED’s range, she won’t finish properly—and that could disrupt the balance for every other plant in the tent. It’s all about teamwork, even in the garden. 🌟 Defoliation was intense, removing nearly all the leaves with stems to clear space and boost airflow. The tent now looks dramatically different!
