Ginger Nut Cookies & Aussie Music Videos Week 16 Harvest 17 th April 2020 This Entire feminised seed making and growing project was a very good learning experience for me. Right from the very start, when I successfully got a Cutting ,taken from a Barneys Farm Red diesel female plant to produce feminised pollen after treating it with a silver thiosulfate solution. I then used it to pollinate a Fastbuds Girl scout cookies auto plant and let it grow to maturity. This only produced 3 viable seeds one of which is the subject of this Diary. I made up the name "Ginger nut cookies" after a variety of cookies we have here in Australia that are made with ginger. They are the same colour as the distinct red hairs on the red diesel buds. And would you believe those same vivid red hairs were passed on to this plant so I wasn't too far off the mark with the strain name. Her flavour however is nothing like red diesel or girl scout cookies and infact as taken on a smell and aroma all of it's own. She has a lovely tropical fruit like taste and the smell is a bit like fruit yoghurt. It has an unreal after taste on the exhale and the lingering second hand smoke smells very sweet and enticing. She has a pretty well balanced high too not as potent as the GSC nor as energenic as the red diesel but just a pleasant mix of the two. It was a very easy to grow and undemanding plant that didn't seem to require a lot of extra feeding other than the 100% organic nutrients that were within the soil and a few things like compost teas etc. The other element of this diary was of course the weekly Aussie music videos That I provided the links for and put up a little video clip preview of each Artists song. The little ladies are looking very good so far. The lamp height has been reduced to 60cm and the light adjusted again (Ppfd:430 DLi:27). The temperature is 21 degrees Celsius and the humidity 65%. In the next few days the ladies will also be repotted in their final 11L fabric pots. -DAY 19 The ladies were repotted today in their final 11L fabric pots and were watered with 500mL water with 5ml/1L Hesi TNT complex. I think I will now give them a week to recover and take root before I top them. -DAY 21 The second week of vegetation is coming to an end. So far there are no problems, the ladies look healthy and are growing. They were watered with 500ml of clear water. 9.1.25: I have done a large defoliation and readjusted all the LST pegs and removed the wire. The wire was getting tangled in the plants, so it was easier to just take it off. I may get some thicker, stronger wire when they're too big for the pegs. PPP1 and PPP2 are by far the best plants in this run so far. PPP3, however, is the worst of all. She flipped into flower, still having only 3 finger leaves, and there are no five finger leaves at all. I am disappointed, of course! Day one of flower for the London Pound Cake and Purple Shah. I moved the Blueberry Muffin into another veg tent for a week or two. They’re early finishers so when I move them back everything should harvest around a similar timeline. Fed them all with an Organic Alf Alfa seed sprout fermentation. The triacantanol in the Alf Alfa makes these things go crazy if you don’t overdo it. Add some coconut water and aloe and youve got yourself organic plant steroids. The growth rate will cause you to have an increased need for ca mg and nutrients which in organics may not be readily available. Top dress or feed ahead of the curve.

GIVE THIS GROW A THUMBS UP 👍 WEEK #2 DAY 9: She was stunted day 6 & is recovering from that currently . She is in a 5x5 with 3 autos between 35-42 days old . The plan is to veg this single Cereal Milk out to fill this entire 5x5 once my Autos are harvested . This is my first run with this cultivar & breeder however it was an easy choice considering I adore the taste , smell, & smoke of the strain! Week 1 issues: The tents VPD was out of whack . Due to the VPD being out of proportion slowed/stunted growth occurred equally across all 4 plants in the tent . Plants showed deficiencies of CalMag and interveinal yellowing , necrosis leaf spots , reddening leaf petioles & leaf stems slowly progressing in the worst affected plants to red leaf veins & lastly droplets of condensation on the leaves (plants were sweating) Anyways after I fixed the VPD issues , I added a makeshift dome for humidity retention of the Cereal Milk & 3 days later which is today she has added 2 new nodes almost catching up to where she would be with normal healthy unstunted growth at day #9. She was transplanted from her starter pot last night into a 2 gallon with plenty of dry amendments mixed in for a 6-8 week veg. I’m debating on scrogging this plant or LST & Supercropping the SHIT out of this plant . I’ve never scrogged before and am not welcoming any new learning curves at the moment which is my main reason not to even though I think it may be the biggest help to filling this tent & “supporting” the enormous load of bud sites I am planning to grow . I worry about to inconvenience of defoliating & training branches down without being able to get around the outside of my tent given its location in a corner . If I had anticipated wanting to grow a single 2lb + plant when determining my grow location I would’ve placed it more ” openly “. If I can think up a work around to canopy maintenance so that I can keep it clean & by the books I’ll quit complaining & try it . Otherwise she’ll be LST’d & Supercropped OR topped and mainlined . Day 14 END OF WEEK #2 I’ve added remote temperature & humidity monitoring/controller. Now I can monitor the dips & swings while making adjustments to better dial things in . (Just trying it on for size here , for full disclosure I am not in love with it & if I can not modify what it is that is bothering my existence I WILL be returning this unit AND purchasing another brand with the capabilities I am looking for the connectivity for this specific unit I am trying was a BIG deciding factor for me but all in all is not enough to make me settle on this one if I can potentially have it all. . Odds are highly leaning towards returning this unit .) Finally raised the pot to level with the older girls in flower currently . I was wrong when I reported in setup that she was “30 inches “ from the light . She in fact was 35 inches‼️away so I raised her to be 26 inches from the light by placing a 1 gallon bucket beneath her . I WILL NOT LET THE MID-END OF FLOWER & DRYING to cause my run to get derailed

The tricombe production on this strain is ridiculous! It looks amazing under my microscope. The heads are mostly milky coloured so this may be finishing sooner than expected. The space in the tent is getting a bit tight so I'll be glad to have more room when this lady has done her thing.

Hello again Good week, she grew at least 10 cm. Healthy green leaves. One watering with nutrients. Every 5 days vita race spray, other days pure water. Gonna give rhizotonic next watering. Also did a slight defolation. Removed the 2 lowest fanleaves. No need to put energy in those future popcornbuds. She spend most of the week inside behind the warm window sun with a little breeze from a ventilator Next week it will be very warm here. I think I will leave her outside. She's strong enough by now. Upcoming week I will also start the Neem Oil treatment. Purely preventive but outside there is more chance on bad bugs so I wanna be ahead of problems instead of waiting for the first signs😁 keep an eye out cause I will post more pictures this week to show how she develops. Keep growing strong friends.
