@Silky_smooth_smooth, I noticed the same things. Just a few weeks filled out with barely anything written. That is why I asked wuzzup? Take a look at my previous LSD-25 Diary, I ended the Harvest with a thorough Video which went from seedling to taste test with a music soundtrack. Personally, I thought it was a pretty good visual of the entire grow. I believe I was within the last 5 on the list while somebody like the diary you mentioned was the winner. Oh well, I don't grow to win prizes anyway! I won't be growing for some time as I have plenty to last a long time. I may try putting some Auto's outdoors & see how they do. Take care & Good luck!

@TheBug, Thanks! Well, I feel I have done 80-90% of that which you mentioned. The one issue I have never been able to overcome is placing descriptions with the photos. I have tried yet, it never allows me to input any information.

@R_Owl_Mirror, This from the post on the journal page where they list the winners for February: A lot of user are wondering what the criteria is for picking winners of DOM and NOM. Here is a little guide to help you win: Details. You Diary should be as complete as possible. Take pictures of each and every part of your plant that, in your opinion, is a significant indicator of a state of your grow. Fill in each week, describe your techniques, add descriptions to the images you upload, outline your setup, add a comment to each week, participate in discussions in the commetns section, include information about feeding and watering, log in wet and dry harvest weights, mention grow lights, etc. Quality images. Make sure to use a good camera, take as many pictures as you can. Turn off grow lights to take pictures (!) Add videos. Learning aspect. Teach us something! How do you mix your soil? Maybe you have a video about topping your plant? Can you share your DIY ScrOG setup? Please share this information with us, it will be your ticket to win the contests. Story. Spice it up, make it an interesting read. What challenges do you overcome while growing? Anything from mold to hurricanes in your area works! Perhaps, you grow in a special location? Is there a story about obtaining your seeds/clones? We also saw some interesting things like song of the week, DIY of the week, grow tip of the week... Make it special and it's a win! Plant. Do your best, as always. However, please note, the quality of your plant/skills is not as important as richness of your Diary. Diary of the Month is about keeping a detailed journal, not growers skills. Hope this makes sense! We are looking forward to hear your feedback in the comments section below! Peace, GD Team

@hellomynameis, if you are running out of room (height) between your plants & the light. I have a simple method which works well to gently rearrange the stems & increase the distance between the plants & the light(s). Go to a sporting goods store & buy enough teardrop sinkers (weight is up to you) then use some sort of attachments to secure them to each branch. The weight will slowly & gently pull the branches downwards, away from the lights without the need to tie them down. Personally, I just use long-shank fish hooks. Thread the hook through the hole on the sinker or tie them together, then hook it to an area near the top of the branch. You will need to decide how heavy the sinkers should be according to how stiff the branches are. I find between a 1/2oz & 1oz work best. Hope that helps!

This initial report is being posted at the time of cutting & hanging, I'm unable to comment on a smoke report. It was by far the easiest plant I have grown in 30 years. Absolutely no problems occurred throughout the entire grow. I just started growing Autoflower strains & the previous two strains did need attention to nutrients & PH. I'm unsure if I have just been lucky or the amount of Lighting I supply has allowed all my Autoflowers to grow above 32" and produce a few ounces of dried/cured buds. I've noticed other Autoflower growers who didn't fare as well and the one constant was the amount of lighting. I'm also very cautious with feeding nutrients while I've noticed others with a dozen or so nutrient products being used. They all seem to have problems with a nutrient burn so, perhaps that is something to consider? I will be updating this diary entry throughout the drying & curing process. Then I will be able to provide a smoke report.

While I have used other brands, I find Foxfarm's assortment to be the easiest to mix and dispense. I feel these products provided what this plant needed. One other product not listed is Foxfarm's Bembe which is intended to promote Terpines & added weight with a measured dose of Molasses.

This is My first time growing an Auto-flower and I must say, it was quite enjoyable. Especially the End product! I went lightly with supplying nutrients as She was planted in Foxfarm's Ocean Forest soil, to begin with. The description stated she would be ready for harvest between 8-10 weeks. I harvested a majority of the plant during the 11th week & allowed the lower buds to mature for another 6 days. I don't own a scale so I am unable to provide an accurate accounting of just how much weight the Final Buds equal. After the lower buds complete their 3-day hanging period, I should end up with 3 Quart Jars, filled but, loosely packed for curing. I held back a few buds during the original harvest for a quick (oven-dried) smoke report. You will see a photo of exactly how much I consumed. LIT-PUFF-PUFF. Those 3 puffs lasted for about Five Hours of pure Pain Relief! I was able to skip my afternoon dose of Morphine! I must say, I am pleasantly surprised at what I achieved in such a short period of time. I have already begun my next grow of Auto-flowers so, keep an eye out for my next Diary. UPDATE: upon curing, the buds shrank, reducing my expected 3 quart jars down to 2 full quart jars. Still plenty good enough for my needs. Should last until my next harvest.
