Don't just "do stuff" Have a plan. The plan will dictate when and how you train the plant or prune it. e.g. i want 8 colas per plant. While i don't LST, it dictates when i should top and how often (twice). Bending a plant over before it has much axial growth (branches) doesn't do much good. So, make sure enough growth has occured to have some effect. Also, must do so before the stem becomes rigid / more likely to snap while bending it. Working backward from a target canopy - one that is not over-crowded - is the best way to figure this out. There's just too many variables, too many different needs and contexts for each grower. How much space you intend to fill with 1 plant, etc... I'd suggest shooting for about 3 colas per sq ft. More than that rarely improves yields... just causes excess stretching from greater competition for light. So, work backward from space the plant must fill.. this tells you how many colas.. devise a plan to make that happen with the least amount of wasted time and resources.

RasendeRollo92 is right... LST doesn't really improve yield. It merely evenly distributes resources in hopes of less larf and greater proportion of high-quality well-formed buds. You won't circumvent 50-70g per sq ft with some magic technique or product. DLI, temp, RH and atmospheric co2 is 99% of it. what we do is 1%. (maybe, 90/10 is more accurate?)

Can LST till however long you want, kinda pointless in mid/late flower but you could do it if you wanted to. Others susgestions of stoping when its in preflower or begining of flower is good.

Hey 👋 In General i am the „keep it simple“ type of guy… so if you have enough space in height I would not recommend using LST at all… tried it several times, and achieved no higher yields than I did without… so no reason to LST automatics from my point of view. But to answer your question, most people start LST after 3rd node and train until stretch starts. I would suggest to stop when you see first real flowers, as the stress could possibly make your lady transform to hermie… but this is my personal thought about it, not based on scientific researches or stuff like that. Hope this helps! Enjoy growing 👊🖖🍀

You can keep up with LST until there are small "budlets" forming.

The purpose of LST is to open your plant up to have more branches for flowering. Once flowering starts, the branches often stiffen up in anticipation of the weight they will need to be holding. They don't bend as easily and the risk of snapping them is way higher. Doing any drastic LST in flower I would advise against. It is more a preparation technique.

You can continue LST until the stretch is over—basically until early to mid-flower when the plant stops actively growing in height. Once bud sites are set, there’s no need to keep training. From the look of your plant, you’re still right in the window. If she’s just starting to preflower, you can still adjust shape for another 7–10 days easily. Just be gentle and avoid snapping stems. Good luck! 🌱💪
