I really love my VGROW smart grow box and wanted to share some info on this page. I'm just about to wrap up my second grow in the grow box. I'm by no means an expert on VGROW however I have however had a little experience now so I would like to share the +'s & -'s of using this equipment to grow. The size of this box is really great if you have limitations on space or you just want to be stealthy in a busy house hold. Box is only 18" x 18" base x 48" tall. You can easily find space for this thing anywhere. That being said, understand that if your main goal is yield you may opt for a larger tent. With good genetics & nutrients you can grow top shelf buds with nice yields even in this small space. Be prepared to defoliate & trim your plants to fit the space during late veg & flower. I have the standard self watering base. This self water unit works well when growing in coco during the seedling & veg stages. You have to completely wet the coco and then the water will wick up through the pieces of rope. You may have to clean the water basin out a few times during your grow and you definitely should clean it when changing your nutrients from veg to flower. In my experience once the root ball has completely filled the 3 gallon fabric pot the water stops wicking up into pot (usually late veg, early flower). There is a drip system option that is supposed to fix this. I do not have this add on so I manually water during flower. I run one Aerowave D4 fan throughout the entire grow. I have the AeroStream U075 humidifier that works with the grow box. I run this in the seedling & veg stages. I adjust it manually in the app during each stage to get the needed humidity levels. Once in late veg, early flower I remove the humidifier and add second Aerowave D4 fan. I frequently get high humidity alerts once the plant is filling up the space (usually after I water). Having two fans works well during flower as you do not want to have mold issues. Overall I love the grow box. I have had two successful auto flower grows with amazing results. I spend less than 10 min a day on my grow & some days I spend none. Side note: I did have an issue with the box. the main top unit stopped working. The Vivosun customer service was great & replaced the top unit with a new one. haven't had any issues since. I hope this is helpful for anyone already growing in a VGROW or anyone thinking of getting one.
Thanks VIVOSUN
