@GrowingGrannie, Did the timer stop when they SAID it was done? While it's true his was the first one showing, that certainly didn't indicate it was a winner, just it's resting place on the list of entries.

@GeOMaTTiC, they've since moved the contest into the "we're still deciding" category.. they HAD posted it as completed... so god knows when the results will actually be posted up!

@GrowingGrannie, That is more than likely just their default setting, as I've seen it happen before many times. Sometimes it goes right away to the counter, sometimes it does this.

@FearNoPlant, I just wrote that as a pun to my meme, like winner winner chicken dinner.
I don't know who won. A popup will show when ever they declare the winners, it will ask you to confirm address and shit. but the hosts reach out to you directly they don't reference GD saved addresses.

Is anyone else getting tired of the meme contests? I’m a disabled medical grower and barely have the energy to feed myself after taking care of my plants, making infusions and preparing edibles and keeping up with daily chores (not to mention caretaking my disabled husband as well). I couldn’t care less about memes. I don’t have the time or energy to even look at memes much less create them.
Why should creating memes be rewarded on a grow site? Shouldn’t it be about growing and not digital content creation? I put my energy into my plants where it belongs.
