Origin drip irrigation systems offer the same flexibility as growing in pots, with the accurate feeding and increased yield of active hydroponics. Previously known as Wilma, the Origin is an active self-managing high-yield dripper system. Simply set your timer and relax knowing that with Origin your plants are in safe hands. • Set-up in as little as 30 minutes • Use with a range of media including soil, clay pebbles, and mixed media • Low maintenance - manage one nutrient tank for up to 20 plants • Strong, sturdy, and built to last • No daily hand feeds required • Pots are independant, plants can be moved or replaced Pots are placed on the Origin tray above the nutrient solution tank. Plants and drippers are placed in the pots with the chosen growing medium - clay, coco, soil or rockwool. Irrigation frequencies are then set via a timer, triggering the drippers to automatically feed your plants. (A timer should be added to the system to give you precise control over the amount of nutrient solution your plants are fed.) A pump pushes nutrient-rich water from the Origin’s nutrient tank, through the dripper pipes and into the growing media. The nutrient solution is oxygenated as it is pumped through the system, delivering high oxygen levels to roots during feeding. The nutrient solution works its way through the medium and over the roots of your plants, draining into the catchment tank and drawing oxygen into the root zone. Plants to take up the perfect ratio of water and nutrient as they are fed little and often, resulting in healthier roots and bigger yields. The nutrient tank should be completely emptied and refilled every 14-21 days, to prevent nutrient build-up and stagnation. Depending on your growing environment, growth speed, and plant maturity, the nutrient tank may need to be drained more often.
