Stardawg FB - solo cup battle

Ganjaholickz 2nd round (1st proper) in DS60. Because first/test run gave me 0,9 g/w I guessed that its like riding a bike and that 12years of non-growing doesnt even matter... So I entered 2 battles on the AFN forum .. This diary will connect to the Stardawg strain. I dropped the seed in the water for 24 hours and then into root riot cubes. I run it in 0,5L solo cup for the AFN battle, soil is Biobizz light mix with 10% more added Perlite .. (I usually find included amount of perlite insufficient in all light mixes .. ) I'll count today as day one, because today I moved them under the 250w MH .. Last time, I updated at the beginning of each week, now Ill do it normally and update at the end of every week, so I'll add one more update to this first week ..

Ganjaholickz Not much to report, struggling with humidity a bit because its freezing here with almost none humidity at all (5%]. But 45% with humidifier should be fine.. Ill do first LST during the next week (probably tuesday). Also they all got 2x foliar feeds of vitalink silica this week + root stim with every watering. next week they'll get first nutritions, 1/3 strengh. edit : showed preflowers on day 17

Ganjaholickz So week 3 is behind us ;) Preflowers appeared in the morning of day 17 In the end I decided that Ill just ponytail her (3x a day for one hour) instead of LST that I usually apply to all plants. I think that it will be more relevant to the structure that shes building so far... Also its my first attempt in the solo cup and first time growing FB genetics so Im just trying to „read“ her... ;) This week I also switched Atami Bcuzz Root stim for Atami Soil booster... for 2 waterings in between fertilizings. And they all (so stardawg as well) had theyre first nutritions. As the last time with this tent, Im using JUNGLE INDABOX for the base nutrients. After the first/test run Im pretty impressed by it... and one foliar feed silica. next time it will be day before I'll do the HPS switch .. edit: changed the smell because its getting really smelly for her age ;)

Ganjaholickz first day under HPS Deficiencies showing, worst looking leaves cut, foliar fed Stardawg light amount of M+B+x part of my nutrients as one has cal and second mag and top dressed (every plant in the tent) with a bit of dry calmag that Im using for plants & shrimps in the aquariums, just to give that obviously needed kick in the next week .. I did the same thing last time and it worked nice, no def. showed through the grow, only slight N in the end. Im usually more overfeeding than under .. But still, only the solo cup is showing def. now so Ill probably just need to up the feed over here .. First time solocup for me so still learning ;) But I can already tell that Ill do at least one solo cup every grow from now on ;) LST a bit on the lower branches that wont fill the top.. Shes flowering nicely so far and started to strech a bit this week, so Ill see where that ends, Im guessing like 25-30 cm but we‘ll see. Roots are looking lovely, white, no rot anywhere and they are everywhere .. And you can already tell that the final shape will be funny .. :) Smell is really strong. Last grown strains smelled like this at day 38-42 ... (And for stealth sake its better for me, but so far the carbon filter is doing its job, so whatever)

Ganjaholickz disaster. Needed to left for 3 days because of work so I overwatered a bit, when I came I almost thought that Ill throw her away. I mistaked the under cups and second was one without holes (usually its third) so it stood in water for 3 days. .. but seems like its ok now, new growth is nice and green...I cut all the ugliest leaves.. But there wont be much to smoke as it got stunned :( def not the contest winner :) but will try next round again(and again). I want to learn how to grow solocups ;) Starting to get frosty and budding up .. Full bloom nutrients for the whole week It will have lovely trident shape in the end ;)

Ganjaholickz day 42 First solocup, what can I say more.... ;) But she didnt died so far so thats something .. :D But smells lovely, nice frost and it will be nice bonus to the rest of the tent ;) Im looking forward when Ill grow this strain in bigger airpot. ;)

Ganjaholickz day 50 doubled the nutrients. Id say 2-3 weeks to the end tops .. There wont be much, but it'll be nice little test as I never smoked FB stardawg before ;) smells absolutely delicious and surprisingly has most sweet smell from all strains that are currently in the tent

Ganjaholickz last double dose of nutrients .. every watering it will go down from here and last two watering will be flush .. week and half tops but that smell ...so lovely I wanna smoke her right now ..

Ganjaholickz slowly lowering the nutrients, last one or two and then it will be water only... lovely frosting and smell As it will be most likely the first that will go down, Im already eager to taste her .. :)

Ganjaholickz So in the end its day 69 (or 74 if counting since the seed got into the water) for the lovely smelling Stardawg. ended at 22cm height and on the weight there is 22g wet so I guess it should be like that ;) it will be like 5g something dry , like I wrote before .. few good joints for me so Im cool with the result. such a small fella in comparsion to all other contestants, but I learned a lot and will def run some more solos until I figure it out ;) that overwatering didnt help much either and now when I was checking the root ball I see that I forgot to add more perlite (or mix it properly) like Im doing it with other girls .. Also Ill keep the lamp higher for the veg part .. 3 things that I know were 100% mistakes this run .. Yeah and as always, my trich preference is 10:80:10 (clear:cloudy:amber) or as close to it as its possible, so thats my harvest point for all my plants... Yeah and Im always drying them in the brown bags ... Didnt sample this one so far, so Ill update when its dry
