Kaiser Welcome to Kaiser's breeding project. I've only ever done this on accident so this should be a fun experiment. I'm a big fan of indica's, especially the kind that helps with insomnia. That's why I chose GDP for my first soil grow. That said, the GDP I happen to have, appears to have some fairly strong sativa influence and the high is certainly not what I remember of the old school GDP I've tried over the years Moreover I'm running low on seeds and figure its about time I make my own strains. I have a male GDP clone. I have female clones of GDP, WWx GDP, Kush n Cookies and GG#4. I have seeds of WWxGDP crossed with GDP that I am currently popping plus a couple regular OG Kush and a Super Mango Ryder Autoflower to keep things interesting. All of these will be in a closet and will have a chance to be pollinated by the GDP male. I'm hoping I can get two distinct strains with some unique characteristics. A heavy hitting indica that retains the sativa stretch of the GDP I have while improving potency (looking at you GG #4) would be nice. And because I have Kush n Cookies, a high CBD strain that is easier to grow would be great too. I suppose I won't know until next grow what I have, but thats the fun right?! In total should have F1s of: GG#4 x GDP KnK x GDP WW x GDP x GDP OG Kush x GDP Super Mango Ryder x GDP F2s of WWx GDP x GDP (3/4s GDP, 1/4 WW). The goal will be to veg out all the female clones/seedlings in solo cups then flower when they are 3-4 inches tall. The GDP is pretty well vegged out and I'm employing some LST to try and hold her back.

Kaiser Clones are rooting pretty well, GDP male and GDP x WW female both look good and the KnK is coming along nicely. I'll probably flower in 2-3 weeks from now.

Kaiser I have good news and bad news. Bad news, the Mango Ryder Auto and my own seeds from the last grow never popped, and I'm beginning to think that may be the case for all of my OG Kush seeds too :( I've noticed some little flies/knats and suspect they may be eating the seeds while they germinate in the soil....definitely time to cover the top of the soil with diatomaceous earth. That said, I've also failed to get any of the Knk or GG#4 clones to root in the rockwool I put them in a week or so back. I may end up making my own little rapid rooters and hoping for the best. I'm going to need at least two GG#4 clones on hand for breeding. Now for the good news. I bought some collodial silver for sex reversal this week, so I can potentially turn any female I've got into a male, and can also make feminized seeds with that technique. As for the breeding pool, I've currently got: 1x GDP Male (strong growth, resilient, great stretch, average yields, medium potency) 1x GDP Female (") 3x GDPx WW Females (medium growth, resilient, medium stretch and high yields, high potency) 1x KnK female (average/poor growth, average resilience, medium stretch, medium yields, excellent potency) GG#4 female (unknown growth, unknown reliance, unknown stretch, unknown yields, assumed excellent potency). Now for the intended crosses. 1. A feminized cross of Knk by GG#4 and select entirely for potency. The 'father' will be the KnK. I'll probably also throw in a female KnK since I'm out of seeds as well. 2. A regular strain with GDP male with GDP female and 2 GDP x WW females. 3. (Assuming OG Kush pops) A GDPx WW crossed with OG Kush female. Update as of 7/31. The Colloidal silver arrived. Being that I haven't used this technique before, I threw a KnK clone into the flower tent after some trimming and LST, then sprayed one of her lower branches with the silver. If all goes well, the top I sprayed should develop balls rather than pistils and should have the potential to pollinate the rest of the plant. I also wrote off all the rockwool clones. I don't know if I messed up the PH, or the clones were just to small, but after two weeks there was no sign of any root development. I took new cutting and went back to rapid rooters. Unfortunately this will delay the project a bit, but that's ok because I still need time to test the colloidal silver. Cheers!

Kaiser Oh man. Alrighty. Just about everything I've planned for this journal has worked out different than anticipated. The OG Kush, Blueberry Cough and WWx GDP x GDP seeds all failed to sprout which means I've got some sort of disease or condition in my growing environment that is genociding the seedlings :( Until I can figure that whole thing out, I'm limited to clones, which are also having a hard time rooting. I'm now on my second batch of clones and none of them are looking healthy or showing signs of rooting, even after a week. That said, I'm eager to get this thing on the road and need some seeds anyway so I threw what I thought was a female GDP into the flower tent last week. As it turns out , it is a male GDP. I think I mixed it up with another GDP, which I am now assuming is female? Anyway I've put both GDP in a tent with two other GDP femles and a GDPx WW female. Since I am pretty happy with both GDP and GDP x WW, I'm just going to flower the closet and collect the seeds. The light is an Amazon LED I usually use for veg, but should work ok for our purposes. Its disappointing I couldn't get a GG#4 clone ready in time but if things work out l'll be able to cross her with KnK later down the line and will have a journal dedicated to that cross alone. The KnK female which I sprayed a top with collodial silver is in the tent with two female GDP's which are now four weeks into flower (see GDP-10 weeks). I think I'll end up cutting both GDP's down before pollination occurs, but at the least I will also have KnK seeds which will be a part of this journal. If not, I'll also have some GDPx KnK seeds to play around with. As for nutrients, I have a old bottle of Surge I need to use so I'll be feeding them that until they start to show some pistils, at which point I'll begin transitioning over to Bloom/Big Bud. Fuggg... I feel like this is the biggest CF of a breeding journal but at least I'll have seeds right?? Thanks for stopping by and follow for further chaos and disorganization!

Never did the Silver, your work encourages me. I'll have to give it a try. I myself am into breeding a bit and while growing my medicine I can play with some Genetics. I made a little no tell motel for my males to get intimate with their new wife or wives. This means every year I can undertake a project. My last project is growing for the world to see. Old school Thai X Gorilla Girl. The grow results are great so far. 8 plants growing with stable phenotypes it appears. The plants displaying positive growth habits from both lines, a lucky match. Now with the Thai producing pure Sativa at over 21% THC mixed with GG#4XGirl Scout Cookies a wild smoke might happen. Fingers crossed and starting flower soon. Anyways I will follow your project and probably learn a bit.

I looked at the photos again and noticed the one on the left labelled breeding closet, exact same concept as me. I noticed you growing Grand Daddy Purple. I'm considering either GDP or Black Domina for a breeding project where I want to capture some nice Indica Terpenes and short genetics.
