Nutrient film technique

hydrohippy Started these off in rookwool instead of the usual jiffy pellets I use as I found 👀some sort bug trying to burrow in the pellets of another strain that sneaked in my veg room. (See pic I stuck the cunt to the fly trapIf anything has more than 2 legs in my grow rooms it DIES 😂😂 So that's put pay to using them anymore. I used them for ease as you just soak the pellets and off you go. With rockwool you have to pre soak them in ph'd 5.5 water because of the lime content that cant be processed out when being made blah blah blah. With the above blocks I've soaked them in Ph'd 5.5 water for an hour with a splash of formulex too just for good measure 😉 Ps, Thanks 🏆Mark🏆for these unexpected beans...that was a nice gesture ✌️

hydrohippy Sunday.... Just waiting on a few more roots to appear then I'll block these up into 4" rookwool blocks. The 4" blocks will be pre soaked in 5.5 ph'd water with a splash of formulex for 24 hrs before to get rid of the lime content the blocks hold that cant be processed out during manufacture....if you dont do this it will turn your plants yellow!!! Tuesday...... Put these in bigger blocks today and will leave like they are until almost dry then dip the bottom half of the block to encourage the the roots down and to air trim

hydrohippy Coming on well this week. The roots are just starting to pop through, they'll now air trim until they're ready to sit on the spreader matt. Will continue to dip the block in solution when needed. I give them a little support around the stem as I have a fan blowing them around quite vigorously to strengthen them up

hydrohippy Coming on well. I can remove their little supports now the stem has thickened up after a week of gail force winds blowing on them lol... I had to sit these on the spreader matt for a few days as I went to Amsterdam. The pump was on for 15 mins a day. I'll now switch the pump off for a few days to let the block almost dry out now as I can keep an eye on them, this will give me nice white fluffy roots I want

hydrohippy These are still in the veg process for and the roots are air trimming still. I dont want the roots spreading far and wide just yet as I want a root mass inside the block. I've changed my plans once again as my 4x4 tent is a bit crammed, so when what is in there is finished I'll put in these Blueberry cookies in flower. Which means they are going to be massive by this time. I will probably fim them and do what I done with my God bud and top each side branch back to the next two nodes and let it grow two branches instead of one. This should slow them up a bit while they recover

hydrohippy Monday..... Growing well...roots are looking good...they've recovered from the fim technique.... the side branches are under way. Will go into flowering tent tomorrow. Tuesday..... Tomorrow is here and they've been moved

hydrohippy These have been in the flower tent for just under a week so far and looking like they've settled in well. I've changed the tank of water for fresh veg feed and water. Always a noticeable change after 48 hours of fresh feed

hydrohippy Have changed the tank of feed and water from veg feed to flower...they've grown shit loads in a week so pleased with that...let's see how this new strain gets on with canna!
