destroytek Flowering Week 3 – When Humidity Hits and Whiteflies Show Up This week was defined by two major challenges: high humidity levels and the appearance of whiteflies. Relative humidity spiked to over 80 % at night, which can be risky during the flowering stage. Additionally, the first signs of a whitefly infestation were observed. Both issues were addressed promptly: Neem oil was applied immediately (250 ml spray solution), and no further spread has been seen. Several steps were taken to reduce and stabilize the humidity: the grow tent was repositioned slightly away from the corner to improve airflow, and both a second circulation fan (Cloudray S6 Pro) and an AC Infinity heater were installed. The exhaust duct was also rerouted to the window. These measures made it much easier to maintain stable temperature, humidity, and VPD values. Apart from that, the week went smoothly. The plants are developing well, stretch is in full swing, and the SCROG net is filling out nicely. The net is currently positioned 37 cm above the top of the pots. In preparation for the upcoming flowering stages, a significant defoliation was carried out during the week: more than 50 % of the lower foliage has been removed. There are now barely any leaves below the SCROG net to allow better airflow and light penetration. Feeding followed the official HESI soil schedule, including PowerZyme. Watering occurred three times this week, with 9 L of nutrient solution per session (for 3 plants in 11 L plastic pots). Phosphor Plus will be added starting next week. The fourth week of flowering is about to begin, and despite the earlier challenges, the plants are looking healthy and strong. Week 3 TL;DR: Battled high humidity and the first signs of whiteflies – treated with neem oil. Climate was unstable early in the week; added heater + extra fan midweek. Moved the tent slightly to improve airflow. Conditions improved after changes. SCROG net set at 37 cm, canopy filling out well. Defoliated heavily under the net (~50% of the lower growth removed). Fed 3x with 9L total using HESI nutrients (no Phosphor Plus yet). Pistils are developing nicely – plants look strong despite early stress.

destroytek Flowering Week 4 – Heat Rises, Flies Fall Things are finally settling down this week. After adding the AC Infinity heater and a second circulation fan, it’s been much easier to keep temps and humidity in check — especially during lights-off. VPD is now sitting nicely in the ideal range, day and night. Early in the week, I spotted a few new whiteflies on the sticky traps. Hard to say if they were leftovers from the last wave or came in with the two CBD plants that occasionally hang out by the open tent for a bit of extra light. Just to be safe, I gave everything — both the main grow and the CBD girls — another round of neem oil. Haven’t seen any new flies since. The light had to be raised because some tops were creeping up too close (under 15cm). I bumped it up to intensity level 7 to compensate for the added distance. Right now. PPFD at the top colas is hitting around 750 µmol/m2s, while the lower sites sit around 275-300 µmol/m2s. Planning to increase the light to level 8 next week tp push things a bit further) Training-wise, not much happened this week. SCROG is fully active and the canopy looks nice and even. I noticed a little yellowing at the leaf tips — might be a minor sign of overfeeding, but nothing to worry about so far. Plants were watered three times this week with a total of 9 liters (for all three), following the HESI soil feeding schedule. Overall, everything’s looking good. The tent is stable, the plants are happy, and flowers are coming in nicely) Week 4 TL;DR: Whiteflies reappeared early in the week – treated with neem oil again (both main tent + CBD plants). Since then, no new sightings. Climate control improved after adding heater + 2nd fan – VPD now stable. Raised light due to top colas getting too close; now on level 7. PPFD: 750 top / 275–300 bottom. Planning to go up to level 8 next week. Slight yellowing on leaf tips (possible overfeeding). No more defoliation this week – SCROG fully filled. Fed 3x with 9L total (HESI + PowerZyme). Phosphor Plus starts next week. Plants are healthy and stacking nicely.

destroytek Flowering Week 5 – Still Flying, Still Fighting This week started with an unwanted guest: a new whitefly appeared on one of the sticky traps. It’s unclear whether it’s part of the original infestation or a newcomer, but as a precaution, another round of neem oil was applied across all plants – both in the tent and the nearby CBD plants. No further sightings have been recorded since then. Otherwise, the climate conditions have remained stable, thanks to the AC Infinity heater and the second circulation fan added during the previous week. VPD is holding well in the target zone, both day and night. Temperatures during the day stayed around 27 °C, while nighttime averages hovered around 21.5 °C. Relative humidity remained consistent at 39–55 %, with no concerning spikes. Feeding was slightly adjusted this week in response to yellowing at the leaf tips, which hinted at potential overfeeding. At the beginning of the week, plants were watered with full-strength HESI nutrients. The midweek watering was done with only pH-adjusted water to give the roots a break. By the weekend, feeding resumed at half strength, following the HESI schedule for flowering week 5. The plants are progressing well. Buds are stacking nicely, trichomes are starting to build up visibly, and no major leaf issues have emerged aside from a few fading fan leaves underneath. The SCROG net is doing its job well — the canopy remains even and filled. Light intensity is still set to level 7, but an increase to level 8 is planned for the coming week to push flower development further. Current PPFD is around 750 µmol/m²s at the top and 275–300 µmol/m²s in the lower sections. Week 5 TL;DR: • One new whitefly spotted early in the week → full neem oil treatment applied again • Climate stable: 24.5 °C day / 21.5 °C night, 39–41 % RH • Feeding: full dose → pH water → half dose • Light on level 7, PPFD: 750 µmol (top), 275–300 µmol (bottom) • Plants looking strong, buds developing well
