LCHermanos Hola amigos and terp lovers! 👨🌾🐔
This diary takes you deep into the professionally unprofessional but seriously dank grow of Cherry Cola Auto — a strain bubbling with fruity cherry vibes, fizzy cola sweetness, and the kind of aroma that makes your tent smell like summer. 🍒🍹
We are Los Cultivadores Hermanos, two brothers by feathers (and by taste in good genetics), mixing style, and a whole lot of love for the plant. The gear is locked in, the medium is rich, and the lights are hotter than a Breaking Bad finale — only thing cooking here is pure plant magic. 💡🌿
Kick back, follow the journey, and watch this Cherry Cola bloom with flavor, flair, and flowers that'll make grinder beg for mercy.
Let’s grow, growmigos! 💨🔥
🌱 Germination & Early Setup 🌱
We start our Cherry Cola Auto grow with a careful germination protocol to give the seeds the best possible start.
Seeds are soaked for 24 hours in RO water (pH 5.8) with a few drops of 3% hydrogen peroxide to oxygenate the water and boost germination.
After the soak, seeds are transferred to a damp paper towel, moistened with RO water (pH 5.8) enriched with:
1ml/L Rhizotonic
0.5ml/L Canna Start
Once the seeds crack and show healthy taproots, they are planted into 5L pots (it's not final pot, for 2-3 weeks we use 5liter pot after that they are transfered into 20L fabric pot) filled with a 65/35 coco-perlite mix, which has been pre-soaked with 3L of RO water (pH 5.8) containing:
CalMag Agent, adjusted EC to 0.5
2ml/L Rhizotonic
1ml/L Canna Start
Final Ec 0.8
Before placing the seed into the medium, we add a pinch of mycorrhiza directly into the hole to support strong root colonization.
Once the seedling breaks through the surface, we gently cover it with a clear plastic cup (with an air hole), creating a mini humidity dome to maintain moisture and protect the seedling during its first few critical days.
⚠️ Disclaimer
Everything shared in this diary is based purely on our personal experience. We're not claiming this is the best or even the right way to grow — it's just what works (or sometimes doesn’t) for us.
We continuously experiment, adjust, and try different things to improve our results.
Sometimes it works perfectly, sometimes not — but it’s all part of the learning process.
Please consider this as just one way of doing things, not a definitive guide.

LCHermanos 📅 Date: 04.08 – Week 4 begins
Observation: Fourth week of growth started. Slight CalMag deficiency noticed, likely due to roots reaching fresh coco not fully charged with Ca and Mg. Will monitor and increase CalMag dose if no improvement by next watering.
Watering & Feeding (per plant):
Amount: 5L
Water source: 75% RO / 25% tap
Starting EC: 0.25
Canna CalMag: until EC 0.6
Canna Rhizotonic: 0.5 ml/L (last feeding)
Plagron Coco A+B: 1.5 ml/L each
Final EC: 1.4
pH: 5.8
Runoff:
EC: 1.3
pH: 6.0 (not critical in coco)
Plant work: Plants responded well to prior LST. Main stem growth still a bit slowed from early removal of top two fan leaves, but expected to catch up. Stopped removing top fan leaves on central cola for balance.
📅 Date: 06.08
Watering & Feeding (per plant):
Amount: 5L
Water source: 75% RO / 25% tap
Starting EC: 0.28
Canna CalMag Agent: until EC 0.7
Plagron Coco A+B: 1.5 ml/L each
Hesi Pro-Line Boost: 0.5 ml/L (first time)
Final EC: 1.5
pH: 5.8
Runoff:
EC: 1.35
pH: not measured anymore unless issues arise
Plant work:
Performed light LST adjustment — removed some lower leaves lacking light and tucked upper fan leaves to expose more bud sites. Plants look healthy.
Notes:
Hesi Pro-Line Boost (PK 2-8-5) at low dose to gently ease plants into bloom, also feeds microbes/mycorrhiza. Planning to add molasses next watering to support root microbiome. Product not found in nutrient selection on page.
📅 Date: 08.08
Plant work: Performed lollipop — removed many lower leaves and bud sites unlikely to develop.
Watering & Feeding (per plant):
Amount: 4L (reduced from 5L to lower runoff)
Water source: 75% RO / 25% tap
Starting EC: 0.25
Canna CalMag Agent: until EC 0.6
Plagron Coco A+B: 1.3 ml/L each
Hesi Pro-Line Boost: increased to 1 ml/L
Final EC: 1.5
pH: 5.8
Runoff:
EC: 1.4
Notes:
Extended watering interval from every 2 days to every 3 days to encourage roots to grow deeper into lower parts of pots — important in coco substrate. No molasses added yet to test response to higher PK boost first; plan to introduce molasses gradually next watering. Plants drinking well, no signs of nutrient burn. Considering raising EC to 1.6 at next feed.

LCHermanos 📅Date: 11.08 - Week 5 begins
Plant Work:
Continued LST adjustments to improve light penetration and shape canopy.
Performed defoliation to remove excess leaves and prepare for stretch phase.
Lowered lights to target PPFD of ~650.
Watering & Feeding (per plant):
Amount: 5L
Water source: 75% RO / 25% tap
Starting EC: 0.25
Canna CalMag Agent: until EC 0.6
Rhino Skin: 1 ml/L
Plagron Coco A+B: 1.3 ml/L each
Hesi Pro-Line Boost: 1 ml/L
Organic molasses: 1 g/L (to support mycorrhiza)
Final EC: 1.65
pH: 5.8
Runoff EC: 1.45
Environment:
Lighting: Mixed setup, PPFD ~650 at canopy
Measurement tool: Samsung S20 with paper diffuser and PPFD Meter app (calibrated setting for S20)
Notes & Observations:
Leaving the plants slightly longer without watering paid off — roots have started to peak through the bottom of the 20L fabric pots, indicating that the root system has fully filled the container.
Plants are healthy and responding well to training.
App-based PPFD readings may not be 100% accurate but provide a consistent reference for adjustments.
📅 Date: 13.08
Plant Work:
Minor defoliation to remove a few leaves blocking light penetration.
Continued LST adjustments to further open up the canopy.
Plants appear healthy and are reacting well to training.
Watering & Feeding (per plant):
Amount: 5L
Water source: 60% RO / 40% tap (tap water provides beneficial macro elements and reduces CalMag demand at this stage)
Starting EC: 0.35
Canna CalMag Agent: until EC 0.6
Rhino Skin: 1 ml/L
Plagron Coco A+B: 1.5 ml/L each
Hesi Pro-Line Boost: 1.5 ml/L
Big Mike's Og tea: 0.5ml/L
Final EC: 1.70
pH: 5.8
Runoff EC: 1.5
Notes & Observations:
Runoff EC remains lower than feed EC, indicating plants are taking up nutrients efficiently.
Stretch phase is starting to show signs of initiation.
📅 Date: 15.08
Plant Work:
Introduced Big Bud Powder at half dose for the first time.
Slightly reduced Coco A+B and Hesi Pro-Line Boost to make room for Big Bud in the nutrient mix.
Light defoliation performed to improve light penetration, especially on dense plants.
Watering & Feeding (per plant):
Amount: 5L
Water source: 60% RO / 40% tap
Starting EC: 0.35
Canna CalMag Agent: until EC 0.6
Rhino Skin: 1 ml/L
Plagron Coco A+B: 1.3 ml/L each
Big Bud Powder: 0.25 g/L
Hesi Pro-Line Boost: 1 ml/L
Final EC: 1.7
pH: 5.8
Runoff EC: 1.5
Feeding Plan:
Maintain EC 1.7 for the next watering. If runoff drops below 1.5, increase feed to EC 1.8.
Notes & Observations:
Cherry Cola shows extreme density, with very large fan leaves shading multiple bud sites.
Many structural mutations observed: double branches from single nodes, numerous underdeveloped side shoots, and unusually thick branches from the main stem.
Significant height variation between phenotypes — most stayed short and bushy, only a few stretched properly.
This strain has shown the highest phenotype variation among all Fast Buds strains I’ve grown.
Notably, seeds from small packs (1, 3, 5 pcs) have previously shown more uniform growth and fewer mutations compared to 100-pack seeds.
One extreme mutant, showing triple leaves and triple branching early on, stalled at Week 4, producing only oversized leaves and almost no usable bud sites — removed from the grow.
📅 Date: 17.08
Plant Work:
Today only watering, defoliation skipped. Next watering will include light defoliation and LST touch-up.
Watering & Feeding (per plant):
Amount: 4L (reduced to minimize runoff; next time 5L to get proper runoff measurement)
Water source: 60% RO / 40% tap
Starting EC: 0.30
Canna CalMag Agent: until EC 0.55
Rhino Skin: 1 ml/L
Plagron Coco A+B: 1.3 ml/L each
Big Bud Powder: 0.25 g/L (this is the last watering at this dose; next two waterings will increase to 0.35 g/L, then full 0.5 g/L)
Hesi Pro-Line Boost: 1 ml/L
Organic blackstrap molasses: 1 g/L
Final EC: 1.75
pH: 5.8
Runoff: not measured today due to insufficient volume. Will be checked with 5L watering next time.
Environment:
Lighting adjusted to ~750 PPFD at canopy.
Photone app now used on iPhone 13 with diffuser instead of Galaxy S22, providing more accurate readings.
Notes & Observations:
Plants are healthy with no signs of deficiency or toxicity. Big Bud Powder schedule will be gradually ramped to the full dose. Defoliation was skipped today and will be done tomorrow for improved light penetration and airflow.
