TanteEgan Hey my friends and welcome back to the part 9 of my 2025 automatic grow project. 3 plants - 3 different stages all time and all in a 60x60x160 box. Enough of the introducing words and kindly welcome Mr. Tysons Corkscrew Automatic. I put the seed in some BB Light Mix and watered it with a premix of plain water with some white sharks swimming in it. I put some foil over the pot and sprayed the remaining premix every evening on the surface of the soil. 3 days later the head was put out.

TanteEgan Hello again, the first week was not very spectacular. I already set her in her final 5L pot after 3 days. I prewatered the soil with the remaining great white mix and then watered again with plain water to wet the Light Mix once completely. Everything worked fine and the girl gets her first leaves. Unfortunately they look already a little stressed. I think this is related with some thrips larvae struggle due to the weather in the last days. I already managed to reduce the amount a lot and hope the next leaves will start in a better condition.

TanteEgan Hey buddies, week 2 is over and the leaves of the corkscrew get bigger. Also the next nodes are evolving and the newer leaves look more healthy. I did nothing special beneath giving plain water two times this week and removing some single remaining thrips larvae.

TanteEgan Hey my friends, as predicted the newer leaves of the Cork Screw Automatic are looking way healthier than the first ones. The little lady is getting bigger everyday at the moment and starts to produce new internodes in a short distance. So nothing to do at the moment. Next week I'll start to add some nutrients allready to prepare the start of flowering.

TanteEgan Hola amigos, the 4th week in the life of the Corkscrew Auto is over and we are in preparation of bloom. I started to add some nutrients to give her a little energy boost for the upcoming weeks. I think next week I'll see the first little white hairs poppin' out. She also already started to stretch the side branches a little to bring them to the light. Unfortunately she seems not very resistant against parasites, so the leaves look a little pitted. The warm and dry weather was also not very helpful to reduce the amount of the little beasts. Nevertheless she's making her way and I try my best to help her to have a fullfilled life 😅

TanteEgan Hej and welcome back, the Corkscrew Auto has started the flowering stage after 4 full weeks. At the moment she is still very dense but maybe there is enough stretch, that I don't have to remove a lot of fan leaves. Anyways I think I will remove the lowest buds and leaves later on to concentrate the power to the top. In preparation I also started to raise the amount of my fertilizer to give a little energy boost for the upcoming time.

TanteEgan Hello again, after 6 weeks the buds of the Corkscrew Auto are getting bigger and more and more little white hairs appear. The stretch is also ongoing and the single branches try to find their way to the light. Also the first fingers of some old fan leaves are getting dry, so the energy is visably concentrating to the buds and their newer leaves. Maybe it has also something to do with some single warm days in the past 2 weeks and also with the insect attacks in the beginning of her life. Nevertheless at the moment everything looks good and I only removed the really dry leaves that will drop in the next days anyways.

TanteEgan Hey mates, another week is over and everything looks good. It seems that the stretch is over now so I removed the lowest flowerheads and some leaves to give the bigger buds more light, ventilation and energy. The upper buds have a nice structure and are full with calyxes which are getting bigger slowly. In contrast to the Apple Fritter (Project #8) the Corkscrew will really need her 12 to 13 weeks as called and how it looks at the moment. One realization of the last week was also that the origin of the name simply is the turning of the leaf tips like a corkscrew what appears sometimes.

TanteEgan Hey my friends, another week is over and everything is going well with the corkscrew. The buds are getting bigger and more dense continously. I only removed some old leaves and add some Phosphor Boost in the beginning of the week. Due to the more rainy days the humidity was a little higher in average and the water take up slowed down a little, so I reduced the watering cycle to every second day. Last thing I did was to check the PPFD and DLI values with the Photone App to optimize the light setup. The lamps are running now with 60%/60%/60% what sums up to ~100W and PPFDs around 500-750 (DLI30) for the Corkscrew.
