ThomFoolery This week has been a bitch. It's my first stab at a micro grow tent after not being able to grow since... Jeez, early 2000s. All this is new to me and I'm blown away especially at how easy it is to get genetics anywhere in the US. So I'm back at it and the obsession has been rekindled with a writhing vengeance. I spent 2 weeks gettig up to speed on all the new toys and before you know it I dropped nearly 00 on a meager setup that I am just thrilled about!
The genetics:
Admittedly I jumped the gun and bought from the first breeder that made it easy to buy from, and then I found about 3 others that I wished I'd used. This was more apparent when I received the beans. They were really tiny, most were pale, and 3 of them didn't even look like seeds at all. Fuck! Possibly 0 pissed away due to newbie fomo. I soaked 3 of them. The best looking one and 2 that had no business even being in the damn bag. All 3 of them popped. Now I have a decession to make, so I planted one of the weakest looking ones ( I'm not really expecting much from the first grow... This one is mainly to iron out the kinks and get used to this setup), and the other two I'm going to let grow in another box and select the best one for a possible mother. The majority of my experience is with clones and ultimately this is how I like to grow. I'm having a helluva time regulating the temp in this tent. It's in my bedroom and it's too hot. The controller is good but the temps are all over the place from 73 to 84 and I'm sure that is due to the heat from the driver.
If I keep the lung room a steady 72 then the tent temps are easy to regulate. Humidity too. But that's the problem. The AC in here is spotty at best and keeps dropping the ball as far as regulating the temp. I keep having to finger the remote to make sure it kicks on and it actually needs to run almost constantly. I have noticed that the driver on my light puts out a bit of heat and I'm sure that will steady the room if can move it outside the tent. Then I dont think the tent will be difficult for the pro 69 to cool given it's devices at hand. Plan to do that tomorrow.

She's starting to grow. I can now see daily changes however slight, but it's picking up. Been getting better at keeping the environment in check between RH and temp. I'm really starting to get it all dialed in. As long as I keep the lung room about 70ish the temps are fine, but the ac dries the air. I have a humidifier coming Saturday so I'm hoping with the addition of that, the exhaust, and the a/c I can set up vpd triggers and see if it can keep it all in range. This shit blows me away. I've never had such tools to play with. I'm really interested in seeing if it makes a difference.

Tomorrow will start vegetation week one. Currently trying to keep this little girl within VPD range 0.4-0.8 and I'm able to do so with a plastic humidity dome, very well. Nothing fancy just a piece of clearish food storage container. I know it's cutting my light a bit but she really loves the high humidity man, really loves it. I could tell a major difference in less than 24 hours. (Last 2 pics) If it weren't for that she'd be living in the 1.14 ish range and that translate to 75°-79° and 50°- 60° RH. Not ideal for a seedling at all but I'm sure these genetics would still sally forth, just not as happily. The temps in this equation are spot on, but the humidity suffers. The AC just dries the air out so much. (My dehumidifier I'm the summer) The humidifier comes Saturday and that's the last piece. Hoping I can dial it in and remove the dome.
