MindFlowers68 This is my first time trying auto flowers outside and my first year doing outdoor. I planned to start these a lot sooner because I have photoperiods outside an want to harvest these in well before they are ready so i can squeeze an indoor cop in mid-late summer while maintaining only 4 mature plants at any one time but the weather in my area was not cooperating the best. So I had to resort to making domes with lights for my pots because i wanted to go right into the final 30 gal pots and couldn't move them. And taking them on and off as needed to keep them from freezing or cooking.

MindFlowers68 She sprouted within two days of placing into the soil and when first appeared I was scared she may have been stunted from the cool weather and was only showing a purplish color but once the sun was out in full force she started to green up fast and start showing new growth. Got fed some Boogie Brew compost tea along with my normal feeding.

MindFlowers68 It's been a rough and rainy week for this little seedling but has shown to be strong and pushing through no problem. Only a little kelp and cal-mag the rest just rain water. Got pretty hammered the other day but is getting some some direct sun now and growing fast.

MindFlowers68 Shes doing very week this week. Still consistent with two waterings despite being over 100 heat index half the week. She seemed to enjoy the weather and never showed signs of over-thirst like I thought may happen. Pretty much direct sun all day long on the deck so was interested to see how it would respond, especially after a cold start to the grow season. Got a top dress of BSF Frass and neem seed as a little boost for the tea a little extra nutrients and to help with pests.

MindFlowers68 Everything smooth sailing this week. The last of my autos to be vegging, so this may be the last week of veg. We got some rain earlier in the week for a few days but it has cooled down but by the end if the week warmed up slightly and sunshine. Solid drench with compost tea.

MindFlowers68 This week was similar to last week. Rain every other day with intense sun. There were no major changes I made I did slide my pots over a few feet to try to catch more sunlight. Mainly just been on scouting duty making sure there are no questionable bugs hanging around. I few thing seem to take a liking to the but seems to be leaving them lone for the most part. One thing I noticed with the autos is that they seemed to adapt a whorled phyllotax along with the lemon al that started with 3 from seed. They got their weekly does of boogie brew, but think I will stop feeding after this week.

MindFlowers68 Shes stretching like crazy and now my tallest auto flower of the bunch. stacking new nodes and buds are slowly filling in with lost of trichomes. I wont be surprised if shes another foot tall by the end. The environment was brutal end of last week into this week but the rain has spared the outdoor flowers this week and letting them recoup. The big deamon is loving it though. Watered once with compost tea after a nice dryback from all of last weeks storms.

MindFlowers68 Shes looking super frosty and flowers are
stacking slowly but surly. The node spacing is pretty close so imagine the colas will fill out pretty good. Got two rounds of storms this week i brought them in the house for a night then they soaked up sun most of the week. Then at the end of the week another bad storm so I stuffed them in the greenhouse because they were too smelly in the house. Looking like at least two more weeks.

MindFlowers68 I had her in the greenhouse last week then moved her back onto the deck most the week but had to move again. She is starting to slow down this week. The buds not as big as some of the other bud getting dense and still fattening some. The plant is overall the biggest of the autos I ran this time outside so I think the yeild will even out. I had to move her inside the greenhouse and she got rained on one day it came out of nowhere for 15 minutes and she got pretty wet to i deployed a fan and she sat in the sun next day and thankfully got a nice breeze that night and she dried out fine. But two days later i thought it was going to rain again so i lifted her off the deck again and carted out to the greenhouse where she ay now. I don't think I'm gonna wait more than a day or two to harvest just enough to to recoup some of the trichomes. She got some rain water and i gave some compost tea i had made up from my other plants.
Plant was tall with small but dense buds with solid amount of trichome density. Drying took a week and trimming took no time at all. Has to cure for a smoke review but so far mostly earthy fuel.

MindFlowers68 Trimmed her up after 1 week of drying around 64 degrees and 60 percent humidity. She didn't take long at all. Trimming was easy with minimal amount of leaf. The buds on the smaller size but woth density to make up for it.
Hey this is your first time with autos, your 30 gal pots are way too big. Save money.
They grow fast and wont utilize all that root zone space. 5-7 gal is the max you need. I use 3 gal in the tent and 5 gal outside.
@Natrona, Oh yeah. looks like we have a know it all here then. I don't care what you do, This what I'm doing. You're wrong by the way. On more than one front. This is not my first time with autoflowers. So may want to avoid leaving stupid comments with no context or insight on what I'm doing. There is several reasons I used those pots. For 1 they were what I had lying around and didn't want to spend money on new pots. 2, I wanted to have a sturdy base for the plants because its been windy here. 3, I've already grown many autos in 5 gallon pots indoors and maxed out the pots. It also gets very hot and dry here so having extra soil will help them from getting too thirsty in the heat of the summer. People trying to tell me my 50-65 gallon pots were too big for my other grows. Go look at my white widow grow with the roots growing through the bottom of my 65 gallon pots.
