Aeromatics Goal for The Grow My last Hyperion F1 looked beautiful, but she was hit with a BAD cold burst here in Colorado mid-grow. I think it stunted her quite a but, but I also only used a 2-gallon pot. Her yield was less that ½ oz, but the flower is fruity and delicious. I also pulled back on nutrients more than I think I should have. On this grow, I am going to let her develop through week 2 or 3 with little to no nutrient support. Once she is established, I am going to start with ⅛ recommended dosages of Ventana Plant Science as will supplement with Stash Blend. I am going to keep the levels very low to start and will gradually progress while watching closely for over-fertilization. Watering I am going to be a bit more focused on watering. I started by moistening my planting area with around 500 ml distilled water and I let that dry out in the tent a bit. I will start with 100-200 ml for the first few waters and will progress to 500 ml by week 2. From there, I will follow a pretty standard progression, adding 250 ml each week as needed until she hits her stride and I can start watering 2 liters during flowering. I am going to read the plant and avoid over-watering by pushing for extra time in-between waters. Medium For my medium, I am upping her to a 5-gallon AC Infinity cloth pot. I mixed 3 gallons of Happy Frog with 1 gallon of Perlite. Additionally, I put 1.5 gallons of hydroton and perlite in the base for drainage. Additionally, I added 6 tablespoons of Mykos for extra mycorrhizal in my soil. I REALLY want to massive root structure with this one. I dug a bit of a hole where I plan to put the germinated seed and added some COM Seed Starter blend. Germination and Planting I soaked her in a glass of water for around 18 hours and then moved her to a wet paper towel to start germination. After around 36 hours, the taproot showed some great development, but was not straight. It was definitely curved around, so I let it grow a bit more to see if the root would straighten out a bit for proper planting After 72 hours, she was ready to go! Small hole is dug, and into the tent she goes! I will keep a humidity dome (cut water bottle) over her until she sheds her seed casing! Hopefully this one goes well! I have seen some large yields come from Hyperion F1. Let’s hope for the best!

Aeromatics Sherbet Queen as popped! Soil around the plant is still moist pretty much right on the surface, slight dryness on top. I'll let it go overnight and check tomorrow if it needs 30 to 40 ml water mixed with 1 ml/gallon Tribus. I removed the humidity dome and moved her to my 2x4 tent, where I will grow a few different autos that will all be around the same stage of growth. DLI is 14, Temp: 76-80 degrees Humidity: 65% 20/4 Light Cycle

Aeromatics Start of week two and she is looking healthy and growing well. She felt real dry as I had gone around 3 days since a good water, so I upped her intake to 400 ml and will wait another 3 days before watering again. No nutrients outside of Tribus yet.

Aeromatics Starting week three strong! The first two weeks were focused on proper watering levels, increasing a bit each time. I watered on day 10 250 ml with 1 ml/gallon Tribus. She dried out quick and is growing strong, so I increased it to 400 ml with 1 ml/g Tribus and 1 ml/g FlaVUH for a bit of nitrogen. I want to be careful with my nutrients, so we will likely be waiting another week to introduce some vegetation nutrients at low levels. I drew a nice circle in the soil around 5 inches from the plant site and watered in that circle to encourage root growth. I think I will wait a day or two to start LST, or maybe let her settle through 21 days before I start working some soft LST in. Happy thus far and hope for a monster!

Aeromatics Heading into week 4, all things are going well! I started LST making tiny adjustments at around 22 days, with real training happening around 25/26 days. I have everything in a nice even canopy, so I am going to let her grow out a bit before doing anything more than making tiny adjustments here and there. I progressively upped the water throughout week three around 100 ml each day (300, 400, and now 500 ml). I plan on continuing this until I reach two liters of water twice a week, but I am going to be sure to be extra cautious in my progression. Less is more! Ad for nutrients, I have been using Tribus and FlaVUH as standard additions, but I added some Great White Mycor to my last water batch to help out my roots a bit. I plan on introducing Ventana Plant Science at 1/8 strength starting in week 4 with some veg nutrients. I want to be careful not to burn her! I increased my DLI over the last week from 28 to 31. My light is at max height and max strength now, so hopefully she will strentch into some higher DLI range in the next week or so. Ph is at 6.46, 196 us cond, and my last water hovered at 130 ppm with the Tribus, FlaVUH, and Great White. I don't want to go above 400 ppm for any future water, but I'll stay flexable!

Aeromatics Week 4 went great! Heading into day 28, we are seeing some great growth and LST has definitely led to a beautiful canopy emerging in the 5-gallon pot. I watered twice this week, one 1 liter and 1 1.5 liter water on day 27. I don't see any signs of over watering, so I will wait for a good dry out and give it another dose when she is ready! I did some vegetation nutrients for these past two waters, and she took well too them at 1/8 strength. I see some pre-flowers creeping in, so I will most likely switch to flower nutrients during this next week at 1/8 strength alternating between nutrient and regular diluted water. All is looking good so far!

Aeromatics Week 5 went great (Day 35)! She went through a great stretch this week and is definitely in flowering. I see some nice flowers starting to form, and no deficiencies at this stage. I watered with Ventana Plant Science at 1/8 strength, and upped water to 2 liters. I think I will stick with 2 liters for the rest of the grow as it seems like she will be able to take that with no thread of over watering in the 5-gallon pot. LST went well an I was able to form a nice canopy across the pot. Here are some measurements for my last water: PH: 6.5 TDS: 290 Cond: 406 Sal: .20 I can't wait for the next few weeks as she starts to nugget out!

Aeromatics This was a very interesting week that resulted in some possible issues that I am looking to troubleshoot! I started off strong with a nutrient-filled water, as she was showing signs that she could tolerate an bit of an increase in nutes. I watered with a dose of 500 PPM, but when I measured the runoff, she came in at 1600 PPM (3 liters of water with 300 ml of runoff). PH was perfect, but I was worried about overfeeding, so I made the decision to move to just water her later in the week watering. I watered today on day 42, 1 gallon of distilled water with no nutrients. She has definitely been showing signs of something going a bit wrong over the last few days, as you can see in the pictures. A slight light green/yellowing has begun, and a yellowing of the tips has occured. This could be overfeeding. I measured the runoff today and it came in at only 600 ppm, that's pretty interesting! I am going to see how she responds and if she shows any new signs of deficiencies as opposed to overfeeding, and see if I need to address anything. Additionally, I moved my DLI up from 30 to 42. All of the plants responded well to the increase! Outside of that, we are looking as good as can be!

Aeromatics It looks like we had some nutrient needs this week, but nothing disasterous. I was debating on what my feeding levels should be heading into day 50 given her lower PPM reading of 600 after my last regular distilled watering. I went in with 600 PPM of nutrients and it looks like it was a great call! I watered in around 2.5 liters of water, and I think I will keep it at 2.5 liters in terms of volume for the remaining waters for this run. 3 liters felt like too much and too much time for her to dry out inbetween waters (almost 6 days). I would rather water every 3 - 4 days and introduce nutrients at different levels more frequently. I might even drop it to 2 liters over the next two weeks! I measured her runoff and it came in at 1300 PPM, so the 600 feed was around right on point. I will drop it to 300 to 400, with higher CalMag a the focus for the next water given some early signs of a deficiency. I defoliated a few leaves that were looking worse off, but all in all, things are going well. I am going to let her dry out a bit more before watering again, but she is ripening nicely!

Aeromatics She is starting to finish up! I watered once this week with a light nutrient water of around 400 PPM. Last week she ate around 600 PPM and watering 2.5 liters this week gave me around 300 ml of runoff measuring 914 PPM, she is set for endgame I think. PH was a bit on the lower end for this run of. Going in was 6.15 and runoff was 5.9, as low as I would like to go for a soil grow. If I do water her this week, I will give her a dose of 6.5 - 6.5 distilled water and start flushing her out, as she already seems to be eating herself and ripening up! The smell is sweet and candy-like already, and her predicted timeline is a 63 day flower, so we may push that to 70 to 72 days with a full flush. I see some amber trichomes starting, but I think she has a bit more to give. I am trimming up anything that has given its all, especially any sugar leaves on the bugs that are looking done as a bud rot precaution, but I think we are close! She has slowed her water consumption and is still a bit heavy. If she does get watered, it will be one more in a few days. Again though, I might let her go a few days and call it. We shall see!

Week 10. Harvest

I gave her a chop on day 68. It might have been a bit early to some, but she was definitely showing me signs of being ready. I was able to see some amber hitting those trichomes and the general color and feel told me she was ready to go. She also stopped drinking as much heading into these last two weeks, and compared to the suggested grow time on the website (8 to 9 weeks), so giving it almost 10 weeks felt good as well. I definitely hit that darn wall with CalMag and learned my lesson around week 6. It is a must to add CalMag to distilled water... duh! haha However, I was able to bring her back and she is smelling great! We are on day 5 of drying, I'll likely take it to day 8 before chop and I'll be sure to come back and update my final weight. I'll grow her again for sure!

I'm growing the same strain currently, at day 59! I was a tad worried about my girl's state but seeing how yours looks I'd reckon she's fine and also almost finished. Thanks for sharing your grow diary, I'm actually wondering how the harvest turned out and what her yield was - if you've already harvested. In short, looking forward to an update from you!

@DutchBarnacle, She was fun to grow! My main mistake came from issues using distilled water for the first time, but it was a great lesson to learn. She is still trying, but if I had to guess as of now, I am thinking 1.5 oz dry. I think the damage from the distilled water issue hindered her ripening a bit, but I'm happy with 1.5 oz of homegrown any day of the week haha! I'll tag you when I get the dry weight for sure, and will peak over at your plant if you have a journal??

@Aeromatics, happy harvest! Can't wait to hear about the dry weight. What's the next strain you're growing? I'm in between Northern Lights and Mimosa Auto. Just chopped the SQ, like I wrote to your comment in my diary. And with her, comes an end to this cycle: 1x Granddaddy Purple Auto 2x Amnesia Haze Auto 1x Diesel Auto 1x Sherbet Queen
the end.
