SOLARIS Welcome to ... ⭐Fotonic Buds ⭐
This diary will follow the grow of three beautiful sister from my favorite breeder :
SweetSeeds
This session offers three different genetic backgrounds :
#1 Sweet Amnesia Haze - Sativa dominant
#2 Pineapple Slush - Hybrid 50/50
#3 Permanent Jealousy - Indica dominant
It will be interesting look how those genetics behave in the same outdoor environment, under the same feeding schedule.
All three seeds were put between cotton slabs, slightly sprayed with clean water, put inside zip bags, labeled, and placed inside plates to make a dark, humid room. Between 9-may and 12-may they germinated, with beautiful hairy baby roots. They are then placed inside the first stage pot, a 0.6L plastic pot in just ALLMIX medium and covered with half plastic bottles to make the greenhouse effect;
Around 13-may and 15-may they finally sprout from the soil, the first one was #3 Permanent j. followed by the other two, starting officially their week 1 the caps are removed from the seedlings.
Conditions are not ideal, we ranged from 13° to 24° (+-2°) but is what we have in May, they will wait inside until their week 3.

SOLARIS First week proceed quite slowly, we feed some Mycorrhizae and bacteria contained in this wonderful product, on 18 may we feed a concentration of 0.35g / L because I forgot to mix it with the soil before planting the seedlings, this is not as efficient as the pre soil-mixing but is still enhancing the young root system of those babies.
#3 P.J. is still the tallest, but all of the samples look healthy and are seeking the sun☀️
looking forward for to the next update.

SOLARIS Hello everyone 🌱
Plants successfully survived week 2 and they officially enter their third week.
In this last week they spent time recovering from the shock that blocked growth, I believe someone touched them too much, moving and grabbing the pots, other crucial factor that could lead to the stunt are cold temperature during the night, wrong humidity range and poor light quality caused by overcast wheatear all week long; Basically we lost one week of growing from the schedule, it's not the best but outdoor growing is also this. 😤
all the remaining mix water + Great White was feed to the seedlings.
A couple days ago they started (slowly) to grow again, we hope for the best.
Stay tuned !😏

SOLARIS This third week was very important , we finally move outdoor!
Sadly during the past week, one of the three sisters passed away, we officially lost #1 Sweet Amnesia Haze😔
She was the smaller of the bunch, and I honestly thought she was just delicate and stressed, unfortunately the mix between high water in the soil and low light exposure was fatal for her; we continue our grow though, looking forward to germinate a new been of Sweet Amnesia Haze replacing the lost one!😁
The weather is getting better and better, reaching a low minimum of 18°C during the night is the start of the outdoor season, now the plants receive full light power from SOL ☀️ releasing their full potential.
I can clearly see an improvement in comparison to week 2 and this is how normally plants should grow week-by-week. For all the newbies reading this diary, is normal to have slow growth if the plants are indoor behind a window, the exposure is crucial for plants to live and grow, if you see the difference in week 1 to week 3 we clearly lost two weeks of grow because of this. normally week 3 in this diary is how they stand at the end of week 1!!!
I feed nothing because the pots where well hydrated and they hold the water for like all week long.
Stay tuned for week 4, our new baby born Amnesia Haze is soon ready to follow the two bigger sisters!

SOLARIS Hello fellow growers 🌻
We couldn't conclude week 4 in a better way! Our two ladies #2 Pineapple and #3 Permanent are in splendid shape, and a new born just sprout from the soil, bringing back #1 Amnesia to the project! 🌱
What a fantastic week! finally the project is sailing smoothly trough the early summer season under wonderful bright days full of sunshine.
The two grown girls are fed with Great White on 0.35g/L and Fish-Mix on 0.5ml/L for increase the N uptake and feed the organism in the soil with the sugars contained in this natural product, we can already see the results, and I cannot wait to transplant them in the bigger pots and reveal the root-ball to you guys and analyze together if the mycorrhizae + sugar are really enhancing the root system... In the upcoming days #2 P.S. and #3 P.J. will transplanted to 25L while #3 P.J. will be topped and trained.
Let's also write two lines about the newborn Sweet Amnesia Haze.💛
The first sample died for unseen reasons, It's known that Sativa genetics are more delicate, and sensible to colder climates, a sum of effects brought the sprout to a fatal doom, but we were lucky enough to germinate a new seed, this time hopefully more stronger.
Since we weather is nice, we put the seedling directly in the final pot of 25L, following a germination in the paper and bag, he germinated on 7th June and sprouted from the soil the11th, doing so is avoided any possible stress cause from transplanting.
So exited to see what is going to happen next week.
From week 4 is everything, hope all you guys have prosperous grows, and happy harvests 🌞
see you next week!

SOLARIS Hello fellow growers!
Week 5 closed with many surprises; First of all #1 Amnesia is stronger than ever, and this is very nice to me, after the displeasing episode of past weeks.
Meanwhile #2 and #3 were transplanted to larger, definitive, 25L pots, and with my surprise they didn't stop growing and put new nodes straight away! Unfortunately is not only good news... late week 5 #3 P.J. where spotted with pre flowers, this means that soon she stop his growing phase and start blooming, they are both too short, and in my experience this gonna be no more than a weak harvest, sadly our two babies are going to have a small amount of flowers.
I give all my hopes to #1 Amnesia Haze at this stage, she look promising, and beautiful.
I try to feed a large ammount of base nutrients, and Aptus Regulator in the hope to give em a growing boost, also Fish mix, high in Nitrogen, is always in the menu, that time was present also, B-52 for vitamins and aminoacids support, and bud candy to feed all the mycorriziae released in the past weeks. Here i try to brake down the week 5:

SOLARIS Hello botanics mates🌻
Week six is rich in events for fotonic buds!
First of all the samples are performing amazing under this beautiful sun, days are hot and long, this weather is so nice.
Sadly the hot temperature, brought #2 P.S. to stretch and develope a long internodal distance, this is not necessary bad, although is sign of weak harvest that she will bring, now even her, alongside #3 P.J. are in pre-flower phase, next week expect some flowers, plants start to smell skunky 😄
Since bloom is close, I start with some LST and spread the plant to optimize the sun uptake and let also the lower buds to develope big and dense, I performed LST on both #2 and #3 and they are responding good, nothing fancy or extreme but just some training, as you can see in the pictures.
I also realized that 4L of water are too much apparently, and they overflow from the bottom, so the second feed with nutes plants took only 3L.
Those nutes combined are performing incredibly good, sometimes less is better!
Regarding #1 S.A.H. she is growing, slowly but way stronger than what the two sister did in May, this is probably due to the amazing sun, right uptake and water schedule, wide pot and right love.
Nothing to say for now, but the good news is, she's alive, happy to grow 💛
Stay tuned for the next week, we will have some little tiny buds oversight.🔥

SOLARIS Hello growers!
week 7 start with a very sad surprise, one of my cats dug into the #1 S.A.H. pot killing the plant, I was out that day so when I returned the little plant was laying on the surface of the pot with all the roots exposed, and the little plant dry 😨
I tried to save her, transplanting in a new little pot, giving her shadow and water. for now I consider #1 S.A.H. out the game 😣
Regarding #2 and #3 they are growing amazing, I'm so happy of the results for now, they adapt well to soft training, spreading all over the surface of the pot achieving this curved shape, with this technique the plants grows other bud sites bigger, so instead of having one single big main coal , with this technique plants grows many different big coals, having more sun building them.
plants are officially in flowering phase now 🌼 and I start to feed, slowly, blooming nutrients.
Transition from grow nutes to bloom one should be progresive, even during the beginning of blooming plants still requires N, this week is the last feed of Fish Mix, and Regulator, while week 7 is the first feed of cannazym, (for keep soil EC low) and bloom nutes like PK

SOLARIS Hello growers🌻
This week went smooth good beside a small crack to a branch of #3 P.J. due to mixing LST and strong wind hahah.
I fixed it with a field repair and now the buds looks healthy.
Sun shine alot and the plants are getting all their needs, they look healty and strong, packing up smelly flowers.
#2 P.S. is making her best fulfilling the main stem with a gorgeous main cola remembering a banana, she is unfortunately slightly under attack of mildew, so next step is healing her with some neem oil and cleaning all her leaves.
A lot more is coming so stay tuned on my profile!
Cheers 😊

SOLARIS Hello growers, welcome to week 10
We are getting closer to the harvest day, in any case, #2 Pineapple Slush will take one week more. I think this is the last week of nutrients feeding for #3 Permanent Jealousy.
Plants are showing low tolerance to nutes stress, I think #3 P.J. is holding better the nutrient uptake while #2 P.S. despite being bigger, is showing some signs of stress, at this point I cannot stop anymore and I will go through last weeks of flowering feeding the correct amount of fertilizers anyway.
In any case the EC of watering solution is getting lower, so even if the plants are getting stressed, they have at least everything they need in the soil, this will be followed by double flush of water and cannazym to help dissolve any remaining traces in the substrate and clean the roots.
Both samples seems loaded, with delicious flowers, i can definitely tell there are different genetics! Love that things, plant shape, color and bud development are different, smell and probably taste and effect, will be different too, can't wait to have a try😋

Today 25 July 2025 I have finally harvested Permanent Jealously, defoliate the most, leaving all the branches in position i cut right on the beginning of the main trunk, positioned the whole sample in drying room close to ventilator in controlled atmosphere (20°C at 55% RU)
The plant, like her sisters, got a slow start in May, but after she get back and performed really good.
During the first weeks of flowering I could say the terpenic profile leaning on heavy lemon-citric notes, while having a resin fresh note, and sweet base.
During the last week the aroma of the plant faded away a little but still very pleasant.
The buds are wide, ball shaped, coated in trichomes, very sticky, dense but not too much, I would recommend this genetic and 100% growing it again, if the smoke turns out not too strong.
Plant shows a typical autoflower structure, nothing fancy, just a bit more "bushy" than the more classical "christmas tree" and for that i recommend LST or even topping, I believe this genetic can totally express herself inside grow box, I prefer outdoor so in any case this is my experience regardless indoor setups.
Permanent Jealously showed more resistance to mildew and tolerance to nutrients despite his smaller size, especially of the root system, in comparison to Pineapple Slush (is the only possible reference i had during growing)
In summary, was a funny plant to grow, I recommend this genetic to intermediate growers, because is a interesting benchmark for any experiments and techniques, the result is remarkable, buds are beautiful and strong.

SOLARIS Hello growers🌻
Week 11 turn my project to the end, after the trichome inspection, the situation was pretty clear, #3 P.J. was a bit forward, and she needed to be chopped a bit earlier than #2 P.S. but I choose to harvest them together.
#3: P.J. had amber trichomes on the top
#2: P.S. had many clear on the bottom
I like to chop plants before they shows many amber, and let them ripe during the long/slow drying process. Many growers not realize how trichomes change during drying if you maintain the right environment, and they chop em when it's too late. I would love to feed some more green sensation to Pineapple Slush but I didn't hold the clock and now is no more possible.
In this week:
23-07-2025 _ feeding day
#2 P.S. : 3L tap water + 2.5 ml/L Cannazym
#3 P.J. : 10L tap water
25-07-25 _ Harvest day
Hello, today we reach a pivot point in the project Fotonic Buds.
Pineapple Slush have been harvested.
From the beginning she was growing slightly slower than #3 P.J. and overall i had the feeling that this particular genetic was a bit weaker and sensible.
My feelings are correct because at the end of the cycle, is possible to make a direct comparison with the other plant (supposed to be with the other two ) and draw some conclusion.
This sample was weaker than Permanent Jealously, but on week 5, starts to overtake her in height and general size of the structure, and also she was the first to build the main cola.
I observed that #3 P.S. built the flowers one week later, and thought that the actual harvest could be one week in advance, and this was wrong because actually they been chopped together, so on conclusion is , Pineapple Slush was slower (and probably stressed by many factors) but once the flowering phase begun, she start to produce flowers faster than the other.
Overall the resin on Pineapple is less than Permanent, and also the bud shape, as well as the plant structure itself, are different, we can observe two different genetics developing, Pineapple turned out more dark, a very beautiful dark emerald green, the plant structure is more tidy, classic "Christmas tree" with long internodal distance and well organized branches, in this regard I would like to say that this plant doesn't require any LST if growing tall, in my case, the project had a brake during the very first phase, and in order to maximize the harvest, I did training, but this is not necessary if the plant grows tall.
She was easier than Permanent to defoliate during grow and easier to clean after harvesting.
The buds are narrow and edgy, the biggest difference other than the shape was the pistils of Pineapple Slush, they are large and short, the smell of week 5 was tropical, and sweet, i couldn't tell any particular fruit scent, but just tropical fruity.
Im week 11 she lost most of her tropical scent, but leaves behind a very pleasant "skunky weed aroma".
The buds are dense, from the very beginning, and they look very solid at the end. I think judging by just the size, Pineapple Slush gave more flowers. This is the only aspect she did better than Permanent, as of the rest i prefer Permanent Jealously.
(Take in mind: This conclusion come from direct comparison of growing experience from one single sample of two different genetics; First I could be unlucky, Second is regardless the genetic itself but more about the growing experience i had)
In final, If you want to make this genetic, and you are at the beginning, i think is perfect, just don't give her too much nutrients, because on my sample, tolerance was scarce, let her grow tall, "sun and water". Also my sample showed mildew, so be aware of low resistance in outdoor.
I think could be a nice chance to learn plant care and feeding schedule discipline.
And if you really want to grow and smoke a solid Pineapple, the best one is Pineapple Express by Barney's farm, IMO is the OG and only option here, Pineapple Slush by Sweet Seeds was an experiment, a brand new genetic in catalogue, and my favourite breeder, so i gave her a try, and if the smoke is good, maybe i can grow her again in future, but she is far from the vibes the OG Pineapple Express gave to me the couple of times I grew it. I hope the aroma turn back stronger and sweeter than now!
Looking Good! And interessting Phenos as well 🌱. Keep up the Great work your Ladys will love it☀️ :D looking Foward for your Diarie in the Next Weeks Growmie 🍵.Maybe spread some love at my Newest Diaries ? I would Really apreciate that ⭐
@EthanMartin05, 😁 if you have any suggestion here share please, first time for me but already know could easily be in my top 3, I love haze genetics and sweetseeds, should be only a good choice for me hahahahahaha, i cannot wait to have some flowers to taste!
Thank you for your comment mate, happy grows!👌✋
