SpliffyRand I’m ready for my first Dutch Passion sponsored grow – and so are the seeds! Super excited to see how this one turns out.
As always, I’m germinating them straight in the soil.
SANLight EVO 3-80 is set to 40%.
Let’s go!
Update: They all sprouted after about three days. Day Nr. 1 is 15th of May.

SpliffyRand Week 1 for these tiny plants. I'm really looking forward to seeing them bloom and as usual, I can't wait! I'll probably leave them in veg for about 3 weeks. For now, I'm just letting them be. Maybe I’ll add a few drops of water here and there, but not too much so they can still explore the excess moisture in the pot.

SpliffyRand After 11 days, they’re already pushing out their second set of true leaves. Right now, they’re not getting quite enough light since the other plants are still in the tent and the light isn’t close enough for them. But as soon as I move the others outdoors, I’ll lower the light to give them better exposure. One of them already tipped over, so I had to stabilize it using a piece of my BioTabs box.
Keep it slow and steady - no need to hurry here :)

SpliffyRand Another week, another update for these beauties.
I’m loving the vibrant lime green color, but it’s clear they’ll soon need more space, more light, and a bit more nutrition. My DIY stabilizer, crafted from the BioTabs box, did the trick – the plant is standing strong again and supporting its own weight.
I’ve bumped the light intensity up to 50% to compensate for the current distance, and so far it seems to be working well.
Can’t wait to free up more space in the tent so I can give them proper attention. Just about a week to go – then they’ll get new shoes, more light, and my full focus! 😄

SpliffyRand These plants are no longer second-class citizens in the tent – they’re finally getting full light and proper airflow. You can clearly see they’re not as strong as they could be yet, but that’s mainly due to the limited light and circulation they had up to now.
Still, I’m glad I started them while the autos were running – saved me 2–3 weeks of veg time! Now I’ll let them fill out their current pots and then move them into bigger ones in a few days.
Plan is to flip them into flower in about two weeks.

SpliffyRand Like I mentioned last week – transplant time for the Blue Applez!
They were getting thirsty fast and started drooping every two days after watering – clear sign they had outgrown their old shoes. So, fresh new pots it is! Used trusty BioBizz Light Mix again and kept it simple: 2 ml of BioBizz BioGrow.
From my last indoor run I learned two things:
-Don’t drown them right after transplant.
-Don’t blast them with too much light too soon.
So I gave each plant a gentle 330 ml of water and turned the SANLight down to 30%. Once I see that they’ve settled in, I’ll bump the light back up to 50% and start watering ~1 L per plant.
⏳ Just 2 more weeks until the flip to flower! Let’s get it! 🌱💡💪

SpliffyRand Post-transplant update:
The Blue Applez are happy again! The new growth is showing that vibrant lime green I love to see.
On top of that, I decided to do a bit of LST to shape them a bit before the flip. I’m planning to send them into flower next week. Until then, they can keep stretching out and filling up the tent nicely! 🌱💪

SpliffyRand The girls handled last week’s LST like champs – barely even flinched. They kept growing strong, and ever since I flipped them to flower on Saturday (F1), the stretch is in full swing. The tent is now completely filled out, and I’m starting to think about when (or if) to lollipop.
Once I no longer need my outdoor drip system for the autos, I’ll probably re-use it for the Blue Applez – they’d definitely benefit from more consistent watering.
Currently running BioBizz according to the schedule, and watering with 2 L per plant every few days – which doesn’t seem to be quite enough anymore. I’ll have to increase the amount soon.
Humidity and temperature are borderline, but manageable for now. Nothing critical – I’m keeping an eye on it.
The SANLight is currently set to 55%, and I’m increasing it every second day until I reach 80%.
Of course, that depends on how the plants and the environment react – I’ll adjust as needed.

SpliffyRand Week 2 of flower has officially begun!
I’ve slightly increased the nutrients according to the BioBizz schedule to match their current needs – so far they’re reacting well.
Other than that, not much has changed. They are steady, stretch continues, and they’re looking healthy overall.
Still thinking about whether I should lollipop them or just let them ride naturally. I’ll probably decide in the next few days depending on how the lower growth develops.
SANLight light intensity is set to 60%, still increasing.

SpliffyRand 📅 Blue Applez Weekly Update – Frost Incoming & ScrOG Activated
I couldn’t resist... I added a ScrOG net again 😅
Yeah, it’s a bit late to install it, but I just love using it – and it helps shape things up nicely even now.
The Blue Applez are doing great so far. They’re already starting to show early signs of frost, and it really looks like this one might turn into a serious banger once it's done. 💥
💧 Watering Setup – Time to Switch?
Now that my outdoor run is wrapping up, I’m thinking about moving the Blumat drip system indoors for the Applez.
Only one problem: Biobizz and Blumat don’t mix well, since organic nutrients could clog the lines.
My options:
Stick with BioBizz and keep watering manually for full control
Or go for a hands-off setup using 2 BioTabs per pot and let the Blumats handle the rest
Honestly, the BioTabs + Blumat combo is awesome for low-maintenance growing – but since this is an indoor run, part of me wants to fine-tune the feed manually.
Still got a few days to decide – I’ll keep you posted on how I go.

SpliffyRand Back from vacation and happy to see the Blue Applez doing well – right in the middle of bloom!
By the looks of it, we’ve definitely hit the halfway point of flowering. Buds are swelling up nicely and the plants handled the week alone just fine.
However, one thing is starting to concern me: humidity.
The weather has been cold, wet, and unstable – and with no sign of a real summer, RH levels keep bouncing between 50% and 70%, which is far from ideal during mid to late flower.
If they keep bulking up like this (which they hopefully will), I might run into trouble with bud rot.
So far, everything looks clean and healthy, and I’ve never had bud rot indoors before – but this is also the first summer this wet.
Let’s hope the weather clears up soon.
🌱 Quick Stats:
💧 Watering: ~2 L per plant every 3–4 days
💡 Lighting: SANlight set to 80% with sunrise/sunset simulation enabled for 30 minutes each
🕰️ Day: F35 – estimated halfway point

SpliffyRand You can clearly see by now that, out of the three plants, there are two distinct phenotypes when inspecting the bud structure. Plant #2 has very compact buds, not too many pistils, and almost looks like it’s foxtailing. Personally, I really like its appearance, though I’m not sure if it will yield as much as the others—maybe the weight is just packed more tightly. It also has fewer leaves compared to the other phenotype.
Plants #1 and #3, on the other hand, seem almost like duplicates of each other: classic bud structure, lots of pistils, and plenty of resin. Let’s see how this turns out.
We’re at flowering day 42 now, with at least three weeks to go. I’m currently running 4 ml each of BioGrow and BioBloom, giving 2 liters per plant twice a week. SANlight is set to 80%, with 30 minutes of sunrise and 30 minutes of sunset mode each day.

SpliffyRand Fall has officially arrived and the Applez are almost ready to harvest! We’re at F50 now, and the growth has slowed down noticeably – all the energy is going into ripening. You can really see them pulling the last nutrients from those big fan leaves.
This strain seems like one you need to handle with a bit more care. The buds are already so sticky that my fingers almost glue together when I touch them. The terp profile is super intense too, very reminiscent of the Orange Sherbet I ran a few years back. Everything points towards a really flavorful finish.
2 weeks to go I guess - pretty fast! Next week Ill start checking trichomes.
