Dsant Only one seed out of the 2 germinated.
Sprouted on 01/05.
Method:
Beans soaked for roughly 20h on a water cup in cabinet.
Then spent ~48h in cotton pad inside zip bag, ~80% closed.
By this time tap roots are roughly 1~2cm, so potted them with a bit of Great White.
48h later seed sprouted.
--
Since one seed didn't germinate using the first method, I added a third seed directly in substrate on the 29th.
Third seed sprouted on 03/05.
Now we have enough to go through this round. Let the fun begin!
Dsant Low maintenance first week of growth, nothing much to report.
On 05/05 added 500ml of de-chlorified tap water to each pot.
On 08/05 added another 500ml of de-chlorified tap water with 0.3ml/L of Roots Excelurator and 0.03ml/L of GG Silica.
On 11/05 mixed first reservoir solution (10L) with full nutrients at 50% strength.
Lights are dimmed to around 220 PPFD, 50 cm from canopy, 24h on.
Dsant A bit of action this week.
Topped them on the 13/05.
#1 has now 6 nodes, while #2 has 4 - she's a few days younger, but I decided to top them at the same time nevertheless.
On the 19/05 I started with LST and mixed a new reservoir with nutrients at 50% strength.
Light has been adjusted to around 310 PPFD, this run I'll keep them on a 24h schedule.
Dsant Not much action has happened this week. I've been adjusting the LST every other day, trying to open those branches out.
Unfortunately I overdid it and snapped one branch from #1.
Using same reservoir mix from the 19th.

Dsant Mixed a new reservoir on the 28th - #1 is a bit heavier drinker than #2 and was begging for some water. It can be clearly seen in the pictures taken on that day.
I'm marking this week as first week of flowering since I've spotted pistils in both ladies - but still using vegetative mix, will probably switch to flower nutes next week.
These last few days the girls have completely exploded in growth, which also brought some humidity issues that both my exhaust and de-humidifier weren't able to handle, so I decided to give them a BIG defoliation session and that brought the humidity down from 73%+ to a controlled 62%-65%.
See you next week growmies!
Dsant New reservoir on the 2nd with Flowering nutrients, still at 50% of recommended dosage - and I'll probably stick with it, even at this strength I've seen a few burnt tips.
Used dechlorinated tap water this time, something I'll probably stick with as well.
Also added some bud trainers that I got from amazon, they're quite cheap and I've been liking it so far, although not the best canopy, it's something I'm learning a lot and enjoying.
And a side note: Using autopots feels like cheating. These two are topped and still are producing some enormous branches! Glad I did top them in the end, else I'd be stressing a lot over space right now.

Decided to give them a heavier defoliation/lollipopping to improve light penetration and to help them focus on the bigger branches instead of larf. We'll see how well they'll respond to that.
