RCUgrows Planted April 16 2025 9pm estin coco direct sow into 3.9 autopots. Hand watering Canna A+B to 2.0 EC 5:2 humic acid and kelp mixture. DLI is 60 Sprout is out of coco 84 hours later.

RCUgrows Just came out of the soil. Watering with Canna A+B and calmag at 2.2ec Added 5:2 humic acid/kelp to the water. Great white mycorrhizae. Moved EC down to 1.8 EC plants were fine at 2.2 EC but seedling is not growing as fast as previous cultivars. Wondering if it is just the strain. Will see how plant responds.

RCUgrows One day at a time. Plant seems to be doing good under 60 DLI since seedling. My experiment is going well. With that said, the plant seems to be a little stunted compared to under 40 DLI. It could be the strain. We'll see how the other plant does in the tent. willl give it some time Experiment at 60DLI was to much going back to 25 DLI. It was interesting to see. Plant was doing well for the first few days. Clearly stunted now as plant should be much bigger at 9 days. May replace with other seedlings. And attempt using this plant to S1 in an experiment. I will see how fast it recovers if at all under 25 DLI. Consider the rest of this journal a failed experiment as this will not produce well and is more for entertainment now.

magic castle, night owl, sweet...i see you are going by dli, curious what is the ppfd...some times night owls come out of the gate a little slow, but pick up speed as soon as the root zone gets established, sometimes the first leaves that appear are twisted and not your perfect shaped leaf, don't panic, stay the course you probably haven't done anything wrong and she will be on track by her second set of nodes.... i wouldn't do any lst until she comes around just to be sure you give the best chance at growing up strong... do tou have blue diodes in your grow light, if so use them, seedlings love the coolest light you can give them... i have some LED seedling lights that are all blue and the cct(k) is 100,000, that is some cool light... i'll send you the info on those lights and tou can get them at walmart or the home depot

so you say the dli is 60 for seedlings ? sounds out of bounds, 16-20, no higher than 30,with ppfd~300... you mentioned something about an experiment?

@sanibelisl, Hi yes. I always run seedlings at 40 DLI have no issue. I wanted to run an experiment at 60 DLI and push the limits of what is possible this cultivar did not do well. But worth a try to satisfy my curiosity. I know many recommend way less than 40. I always push the boundaries. I think my sweet spot is 40 DLI. Thanks for your feedback.

So took some pics of my old homemade lights. My Compound V diary was grown under this light. Healthiest seedlings I’ve ever grown were under this light. In fact I’m going back to it just for the seedlings stage my next grow.
