Purple Trainwreck

Njanne I'll be growing these indoors due to need for hot and dry environment. I'll devote my flowering room to this variety as soon as the current grow (Liberty Haze, GSC and Sour Diesel) is harvested.

Njanne These seeds were not cheap! I paid over $100CAD for 3 seeds. Thank goodness all three germinated nicely :). I'm pretty excited about this grow. They will stay indoors so I can control the grow environment. Not taking any chances with these ladies!

Njanne Off to a good start. Will start nutrients later this week :) All three seeds germinated and are growing well. I'm super excited about this variety!

Njanne Plants are growing well. There is a bit of damage on first fan leaves due to transplanting. My bad. Time to start adding some basic grow nutrients. Next transplant will be into the big felt pots in a couple of weeks.

Njanne So far so good. Finished all repotting. They are all in their 7 gal felt pots now. Mainline and topping is done. Now to grow baby grow!

Njanne Each of the three plants is completely different! One plant is really big, another plant is really small, and the other is right in the middle. It's funny how they can all be so different considering they have been in the same environment the whole time. All three plants have been mainlined now and are growing well despite the differences in size.

Njanne One plant is a lot bigger than the other two... interesting because everything else was kept the same.

Njanne The three plants are all totally different. One is big and robust, one is medium size but seems to be struggling a bit with nutrient absorption, and the third is smallest but seems otherwise healthy...it’s fun to see how they all grow differently.

Njanne Plant #3 has some leaf damage. I think it's a problem with the soil mix. Maybe too much vermiculite. I'll do it differently next time.

Njanne The plant that was struggling seems to be improving now that I have top dressed the soil, but there is a funky root thing going on. Why would they grow up to the surface like that... so weird. The other two plants are nice and healthy. You can see that the 7 gallon pot limits the size of the plant by a LOT. The 10 gallon pot is allowing the big plant to grow like a monster :) I ordered a bunch more of the 10 gallon pots. I'll use them from now on.

Njanne I'm happy with the way these are shaping up :) They are not hard to grow at all. After topdressing the fussy plant, she seems to be growing nicely. The big lady is big and they haven't even stretched yet! I just switched them to 12/12 so the stretch is coming. Gonna start swapping to flowering nutes this week.

Njanne They are all flowering nicely. My sickly plant has pushed through and is looking pretty good after all! The baby plant is still very small, but LOADED with budsites. The monster mama is huge and full of wee flowers.

Njanne Smooth sailing. Week two of flowering shows loads of bud sites and big robust plants. Nutrients are well tolerated and the flowers are taking shape nicely. Not much fragrance, but I know it's coming 😬

Njanne These ladies have LOADS of flowers. I'm really happy with the way they are turning out. One plant is just huge. The other two are medium and small. They never did catch up. I figured out why the roots of the medium plant are growing near the surface... it's because I haven't been watering them well enough that the water seeps down to the lower depths of the pot. The roots at the surface of the pot are growing where the water is mostly available. I have started watering them more thoroughly. This should make a difference from now on. I'm excited to have made this discovery :) That's how you become an expert... through experience and constant learning.

Njanne I accidentally let the monster plant dry out over Canada Day long weekend. A lot of leaves fell off... yikes! The flowers seem okay though. And the main colas still look pretty good. I have heard that stressing the plant out could result in bigger flowers?? Fingers are crossed LOL. The small and medium ladies are still looking pretty good, except the pots might be a bit small. That's about as big as I want my indoor plants go get though. I am okay with the way this grow is shaping up. I would be more vigilant about watering them if I had to do it over again. I have been ignoring them a bit and focusing on the outdoor grows which is way more fun LOL.

Njanne These ladies are about ready for harvest. I took a little bud off a couple of days ago to look at tricomes and they look good to me. I vaped the sample (it was tiny) and it was pretty good. No headaches or buzzy vibe. I took a few bigger buds today as you can see in the photos. The tricomes are cloudy with just the earliest hints of amber. I don't like mine with too much amber cuz I don't want couchlock.

Njanne It took me four hours to trim and prep this harvest for drying. I took off all of the leaves and as much stem as I possibly could before taking web measures. I came up with 418g and I'm expecting to keep at least 50% of this as dry weight. Fingers are crossed!
