Bonsai vs. Topped? Purple Bud Auto

UndcvrLb Getting them started gently with high humidity and DLI of 14.

UndcvrLb Raised DLI to 16 by lowering the lights and had trouble keeping the humidity up. Solved with more perlite, a towel and water.

UndcvrLb Giving them more light: DLI 20 with lowered lights. Started LST inspired by bonsai-style sea of green grows.

UndcvrLb Went too hard and snapped off #1's top 2 nodes during LST. Guess we're gonna see how she responds to HST...

UndcvrLb Plant #1 recovered great from last week's abuse and isn't thinking about flowering yet. Plant #2 is getting there and almost done with LST.

UndcvrLb Raised DLI one last time to 50 for flowering. Plant #1 is taking around 1 week longer to flower due to accidental HST and recovering great! I will definitely try HST again on Purple Bud after seeing this. Switched nutrients to flowering according to BioBizz protocol.

UndcvrLb Plant #1 seems to be struggling, maybe due to cold dry winter air at night.. Trying to keep the humidity above 50%. Plant #2 is coming along nicely but also showing curled leave tips.

UndcvrLb Plant #2 was harvested first and yielded 26g of dense buds after trim. Smell is earthy and sweet with a hint of blueberry. Well balanced high. Plant #1 got further dought damage and was harvested before stigmas could turn fully orange. Yielded 33g of mostly very fluffy, light bud. Smell is not as sweet with stronger citrus aroma. Overall, accidental topping of #1 resulted in 1 week extended veg and tendency towards smaller leaves and branchier growth, which led to producing lots of light, fluffy flowers instead of a few thick dense flowers like #2. I feel it might respond well to mainlining techniques to optimize topping time and branch structure.
