Watermelon Auto

SamSativa Had some Watermelone on my last vacation and liked it a lot. It was of deep purple color and hat a very sweet and fruity smell to it. Back home, I searched my favorite seedshop for Watermelone and found the Watermelone Automatic from RQS. Let's see if this will come out something similar as that one, sweetened my holiday.

SamSativa Started LST. Usually I also like to top the plant above the fourth node when growing in this small tent. I'm always scared that I can't handle the height. This time, I decided not to top.

SamSativa The melone got bushy this week.

SamSativa I did a quite intensive defoiliation and cut out minor branches that wouldn't yield much. The plant then grew significantly in height.

SamSativa This week the melon has grown another 20 cm in height. She is over 80 cm now and I really hope she doesn't get taller. The plant now has a very pleasant, slightly sweet smell. The smell doesn't remind of cannabis at all. It reminds me more of the smell of chewy candy :-)

SamSativa This week the buds start to fatten up. Also, it's getting frosty :-) I'm a little concerned about the height. The distance to the light is below 20 cm now and the upper leafs bleached out. The smell is fantastic. Sweet and pungent at the same time.

SamSativa This week I started flushing. She got Flaw Less Finish two times. After that, I watered PH adjusted tap water. I'm happy to say that it smells strong like watermelon now. I never expected that the smell comes so close to the fruit. It got very sticky in the tent. No chance to touch any part of the plant without getting sticky fingers :-) After take care the plant I have to change at least my pullover, before going out somewhere. The smell is also very sticky :-)

SamSativa A few more days, then I will hang her up to dry. The trichomes in the vast majority are cloudy. Did not found amber trichomes yet. I would wait another week but because of a planned trip I can't wait any longer.

SamSativa Trichomes are allmost all cloudy. A smooth fruity scent comes from the tent. Now it's harvest time :-)

SamSativa I got 92 gram good smelling trimmed dense buds and another 90 grams of lower quality buds and frosty trim. Gave it a try already. The smoke is very smooth and the effect is calming and relaxing. Makes happy also.
