Canadian_Growology Just about to start flowering 😃
This year's grow is a bit of a test between cheap municipal compost and a sunshine mix super soil.
Roughly 30 gallons of soil inside cages wrapped in plastic about a foot and a half high amended with 3 cups Gaia 4-4-4 and 2 cups Gaia 2-8-4 and 2 cups Gaia Feather Meal 13-0-0.
Topped up each month with a cup of each as well as worm casting/soluble kelp/molasses compost tea once a week. Also Fish Shit amendment added at recommended doses.
Orange Kush Cake, Cherry Gar-See-Ya, Mac 'n Jack, Crescendo Rbx1 are all Ethos genetics at 25-35% THC
Blue Afghan is from Jordan Of The Islands.
Recieved clones in the mail in early May.
Happy Growing 😌

Canadian_Growology Just starting to flower 😃
This week I foliar sprayed ChitoSal and Rubicon Marinis to help transition to flower.
I also added nets to the rest of the plants since we've had crazy storms lately but they hole their own quite well.

Canadian_Growology This week growth has been exceptional!
They are all stretching nicely and setting flowers.
I foliar sprayed Soluable Kelp, ChitoSal and Rubicon Marinis to help transition to flower. All 2 days apart.
Added this months top up of Gaia at 1.5 cups of 4-4-4 and 1.5 cups of 2-8-4 as top dressing. They responded very well to this application. Might start adding a few tbsps of each every week from now on.
Still adding compost tea once a week. This compost tea I added 2 tbsp of Gaia 2-8-4.
Ran out of fish shit.

Canadian_Growology This week was mostly recovery for the mangled plants. Started getting some yellowing at the top of the big blue Afghan. Colder temps at night. Upped watering and fertilizing once a week with 3 tsp of 2-8-4 and 4-4-4.

Canadian_Growology Removing any yellowing bottom leaves from all plants. Blue Afghan has started greening at the top and buds are developing nicely.
The Mac N Jack and the cherry garseeya are competing for fastest flowering, buds are gonna be massive and I have a feeling the Blue Afghan will catch up nicely.
Canadian_Growology Temperature dropped on the Equinox dramatically. Blue afghan isn't budding as fast as I'd like but the rest are doing good.
I'm boosting the fertz on the blue afghan.
The cherry gar see ya took a beating and the buds are heavy so it's bent over a bit. I reckon the cherry, mac n jack and orange Kush cake will be done in about 2 weeks or so, the rest I'm going to try to go till November.
Happy Flowering!
Thanks guys. I still have 5 plants that are ok but some of the 3 week old buds got bruised by hail so hopefully they don't rot on me.
Managed to salvage 2 plants decently and completely lost 3 or so.
I'll update next week with pics once I get it all cleaned up.
I did grow 11 for this reason lol but didn't expect a microburst to precision drop a tree 30ft away onto my plants 😂
Cheers
Well done! They're beautiful and almost done. not easy outside! Here in UK the weather was so bad i really wonder how those buds could stand the high humidity and low temperatures in the morning, and you are in Canada!!! I would fear bud rot so bad!
@Eauderay, thanks! The weather has been great this year in my area. These strains are very resistant to mildew and rot. Last year I had tons of powdery mildew, this year none. It's also quite windy here so that helps lol
Cheers!
Wow, great job. I’m always curious about this: what latitude are you at? Southern Ontario is about 48 N, and I’m near Edmonton at 53 N where photoperiods are harder to use.
@Adamlovesgreen_98,
Thanks you too!!
I want to go from seed next year. Ethos are my go-to from now on. Seems like they have the higher thc around with epic tasting smoke.
Cheers
Brutal shot from Mother Nature. Hopefully you are able to salvage something, these plants can be pretty resilient so have hope. I usually start with around 25 outside because of keeping them low and wide and feel like to end up with 15 by the end. Cut and corn worms are madness around my parts.
Oh my goodness.
So sorry for the loss man.
I usually keep my investment in outdoor plants to a minimum because of the risk of Mother Nature or man or whatever it may be..
you had some absolute monsters going.
