GrowerLacey I soaked 3 seeds in 250ml ml water with 1 tsp hydrogen peroxide. After 20 hrs 1 seed had sinked (has small, white rootlet) and 2 seeds stay afloat, at this time I knew that the 2 seeds might not germinate. I placed the seeds in the moist paper towels and cover it with another paper towel and I put them inside the zip lock. I place them inside the grow room. Shadowy and warm temperature (70-90°F) Note: I am in a tropical country so I don't have to use heating pad. In the 4th day, only 1 out of 3 had sprouted. I moved the seeds in growing medium and yes I planted the 2 seeds that did not sprouted for experimental purposes only. The seeds are gift from a friend, she doesn't know which one is the male and female. finger-crossed! 😖

GrowerLacey Seedling stage and my baby is dying! 😭 Day 1 Great Day 2 No problem Day 3 I did not notice that it started like damping off, I just realised when I checked the photos to upload here. Day 4 I was surprised that the stem had bent off. 😭 I almost cried. I read so many articles about it and some seedlings that were damping off survived. I was hoping that maybe I can save her. :( I help her stand by using a twist tie and toothpick around her. - I thought it needed more light so I adjusted the light from 80 cm to 48 cm distance. - I lower the humidity from 80% to 60% - I spray water in the growing medium and 1 spray in the plant because I noticed that the growing medium is a bit dry on the top Day 5 I am stupid that I put a tape to her stem. 😢 I have read some articles that you can tape the area where the stem bent off so it will help the wound recover, I think this is not right to do it in the seedling stage. 😔 Day 6 Nothing change Day 7 I think my baby is dying and I am broken hearted 😭 The stem is getting thinner. :( The leaves are still green but the stem is drying. -- Is there any chance that it will survive or should I give up? -- Is there anyone who can tell me what happened to my baby so I can do better next time.

The stem bent off so I adjust the light from 80cm to 45cm distance, level 25 light using T1000. I lower the humidity from 80% to 60%. After 2 days the stem become thinner but the leaves are still green. Pls visit my diary. Will she survive? What I did wrong? What happened to her?

Hey Growmie, The humidity should still be fine at 60%. This is going to be the result of damping off. When a seedling has already toppled-over from damping-off, there is nothing you can do to recover it. The best you can do is quickly remove the affected seedling together with its cup to prevent the spread of disease to other seedlings. Hopefully this was helpful and I wish you nothing but success on your future endeavors.

It looks like you are right...That medium in the first pic looks veeeery moist. Personally, I use a spray bottle to wet the area around the seedling for the first few days since until it is happy looking

@ZoobZoob_farmZ, I have posted a question about what happened to my plant, if its because of light or humidity. If you have free time please give me some advice. Thanks!

Interesting technique 🧐 What is the purpose/help of using hydrogen peroxide diluted in water for germination? I know that it is very useful to heal "slight" root problems, but I never imagined that it would be used for germination. Cool 🤓 HG✌️🏽

@Afrogerweed, HP has one more oxygen atom than water, by mixing 1-3% H202 to water it can speed up the germination process by allowing the seeds to absorb more oxygen when the seed coat soften. In my experience I can say that it is indeed faster than soaking in just H2o, I tried it few times in different seeds. I saw your diaries and you seem like a pro! This is my first time growing cannabis and I'm excited af. I thinks she hates me already for checking her like every hour. haha Anyway thanks! Happy growing!

@GrowerLacey, Ok ok, yes, I know the molecular composition, thanks for specifying it 😉👍🏽. What I did not know or understand was the effect on the seed 🤔. You have made it very clear, it does look like a good germination technique 👌🏽. About my diaries... well, I do what I can 😅, I'm coming back to this hobby, so I'm still adapting & learning. I wish you the best of luck in your grows!🌱 HG✌️🏽

Did the 🌱 survive or did you pull it? That's part of the game.. always get a few seeds more then you think you need. Good luck 🍀 GrowerLacey ✌️

hi, for higher humidity in the seedling stage consider buying big enough baggies and mist the inside with water and cover over your solo cup like a hat or mini humidity dome, light distance and over watering are the main causes here i think. coco is great if you over water at times. hope everything went well and if not i hope your trying again 🙏👍

Try putting the light closer to prevent stretching like that. Suggest that you download the Photone app on your phone to measure PPFD. Free beta on Android. Glad I got it since my plants suffered from light burn.

I am so sorry that this has happened to you! The next time you are ready to give it a try, Follow my profile & DM me. We will work together and get you a nice plant to be happy with, This looks like over-watered for sure. The soil looks very damp as well, Do not feel too bad a lot of new growers overdo the early stages of growth. We are currently producing a tutorial series for youtube if that interests you hop over to my channel and subscribe it is linked off my grow diaries profile. We are also working on a growers guide for everyone to access for free.
