R_Dub To clarify the goal of this grow is to compare my soil and feed practices on this grow we are testing a soil of 50/50 Fox Farm Ocean Forest and Point Reyes Compost Co Mary Jane Blend. The Mary Jane Blend comes with forest matter which I usually get from Fox Farm Happy Frog; also MJB has compost which I am adding Nature's Living Soil Autoflower Concentrate Compost to this blend. To ensure the mix isn't too hot I first mix the FFOF/MJB with perlite and Organic Rice Hulls, I fill the fabric pots leaving 2 inches from the top, put this back into a bin and add the Nature's Living Soil compost to this, mix this together and refill the pots leaving 2 inches from the top AND placing a solo cup at the center buried to the 2 inch line. In this i fill with plain FFOF so the seed/seedling will have somewhat normal soil to work in and reach down to the good stuff. I then drench each pot with a nematode mixture and Great White. My hope is that the pots have enough food and microbiological life that I shouldn't have to do anything other than water for 30 days. 11/24 Dropped 3 Homegrown CC DeeLite Autoflower seeds into a paper cup of ph 6.4 water, placed 1 ILGM GSCE in a similar cup at 1800 11/25 Dropped an obscene amount of Zeus Juice into each cup at around 9:00 am, let the seeds sit in the solution until 1800 and then I dropped them directly into the soil. Covered each with a humidity dome and sprayed the top soil to keep moist 11/26 Spritz the top soil and lifted the humidity domes to give them a spritz, the daytime temps are hovering at 80, evening temps are 68-70, humidity is steady at 77% with the humidifier on mist and the fan dispersing nicely. 11/27 Same same 11/28 And we have sprouts!! One of the Deelite' sprouted no problem, two have the shells on still, one looks like it just barely broke the surface and the ILGM is still holding on to her shell, gave them all a spritz and the topsoil as well, watered the bottom of the pots to keep the soil moist. Checked on them later in the day and pulled the shells from the ILGM and one of the Deelite's no problem, the one that was low to the ground I may have shocked her, we'll see how she is doing tomorrow. 11/29 Ugh so can't blame anyone except myself had to purge the one girl, luckily I have another Deelite seed that I can get in this pot. Everyone else is doing well, dropped a seed in water with Zeus Juice at 1800. 11/30 Looks like all the ladies (potential) have started pushing their first leaves and are a few centimeters from the soil I think I will be able to remove the domes in a day or two, and I've decided to give them their names since I think they should be good at this point, and allow me to introduce the band Josie and the Pussycats!!Placed the final Deelite seed into a papertowel and placed in a plastic bag and put back in a dark room temperature spot. 12/01 Spritz the top soil with PH 6.3 water. Dropped the final Deelite seed into soil, there was no tap exposed which is what I normally get after 24 hours in a plastic bag but I have to get this girl in the soil or she will be hopelessly behind the others. This is going to be a straight 18/6 no change of light schedule. 12/02 Nothing 12/03 Nothing 12/04 I think she's done :-( 12/05 Moved some soil around and I found the seed with a tap root she's trying hopefully exposing the seed will help maybe it was too deep 12/06 I think she might make it the seed is no longer on the ground and she has a bit of a stem now :-) 12/07 Pulled out the tweezers and pulled the shell off and we have a new seedling!! Happy Birthday!! 12/08 spritz with water keeping her dome on until she's a little bigger, fed the soil with about 200 mil of Zeus Juice
