iamhighasfu Germed seeds went into dirt at 8pm on Nov 16 with 1-2cm tails. Heads were above dirt on the 20th, about 5cm tall by Nov 24, 6-7cm on Nov 30. End of week 1(and a little) in dirt.

iamhighasfu The Magic Melon girls are coming along nicely. They're filling out a little and just about ready to top (edited to add: didn't end up topping them, they moved to flower pretty quickly and I missed the window, figured I'd just let them be to avoid too much stress)

iamhighasfu These are from Dec 15, near the end of week 3
iamhighasfu These are from Dec 17, during week 4 of flower. Starting to show the first couple of pistils, last of the vegging and we're onto flower now. One of the plants is definitely growing stronger than the other.
iamhighasfu Week 1 of flower, and week 1 of nutrients. Front plant is really filling out, back plant is staying short and squat, but looking healthy. Flowered sooner than I had hoped, but not unhappy about that.
iamhighasfu Front plant is really filling out, back plant is still staying small. I'm tempted to rotate them to see if it's the positioning in the tent. Starting to get a little smell when I open the tent, which is very welcome, and sweet on the nose.
iamhighasfu Plants are doing well, missed a water and got a little brown on one, other one caught up in height and is looking strong. Smell is sweet, and starting to see trichomes
iamhighasfu Starting to see more of a difference between these two magic melon plants. One is shorter and stockier, the other is taller but healthier. The shorter stockier one took the missed water a lot more dramatically, but it’s still doing well.
iamhighasfu She stinks! So sweet and lovely when I open the tent. They’ve both filled out decently but are still on the small side as far as plants go, probably because I missed the topping window. We are all happy overall.
iamhighasfu Haven’t done much aside from watering and feeding, but they seem to be doing well. Definitely not as big as they could be, next time I will try topping.
iamhighasfu Almost there. Starting to see amber trichomes.
They stayed on the smaller side, partially because I didn’t top or train, partially because of light. Good practice for the next batch, either way.
iamhighasfu Ready to chop! Harvest pics coming soon. About 40% amber, stinks of peaches and punches you in the face. Stayed pretty small, but I’m happy with the experience.
iamhighasfu Learned as I went, it has been about a decade since I had grown in a tent. Lots of lessons for next time, which is already looking better.
Key learnings were feeding and watering schedule, deeper watering and more frequent feedings have been helping on round two.
Not topping was a missed opportunity, but it’s nice to have a benchmark for a plant with very little intervention.
