Northern_Ent 4/20 : Seed soaked overnight (12 hours) and then planted into soil in Solo cup. Kept under fluorescent lights at 23C and 60%RH. Since determined the well water here is bad for germination. Having better luck with distilled water for the seed soak.
May 3: seeds soaking in distilled water for 48 hours, rolled in mycorrhizae and then planted.
May 17: still having problems. One germinated but the other four didn’t. I must have used the high sodium well water when preparing the soil, or these seeds were out of the fridge a bit too often. Will try again.

Northern_Ent May 20: finally one came up. I’m starting to think I’ve had these Gorilla Glue seeds out of the fridge a bit too often.
Northern_Ent June 30: middle of historic heat wave. Hit 37 C yesterday, today and likely tomorrow.

Northern_Ent Historic heat wave isn’t over yet. High of 37 C today but should cool to “only” 30 C tomorrow. Thunderstorms in forecast tomorrow with risk of large hail.
July 4: all of the Glues are showing some heat stress.
July 5: oldest one has grown 7 inches in 5 days.
July 8: 11 inches in 7 days. 😎
Northern_Ent One of these has started turning purple from the low overnight temps (6 C).
Note day counts refers to first plant start date and that plant was harvested at about 84 days.

Northern_Ent Fast Buds says Glue is their biggest yielder (per m2) outdoors and I can see why.
It also seems to be quite stable and robust. It has done better with the weather extremes than Six Shooter, Smoothie, or Bubblegum.
Several plants were started over a four week period. Harvested first buds off of one of the older plants today (Aug 31). Day count refers to first plant start date and it was mostly harvested on about Day 86.

Northern_Ent Sep 4: these plants are still growing and need more N than any of the other plants. Giving extra foliar using Fish and Epsom salts to try and get rid of the yellow colour. Also watering with Mega Crop to give things a boost in the final phase. The last of these were started on June 12 which is Day 86 now. Day count on photos refers to when first plant was started.
Sep 6: these have matured quickly.

Northern_Ent Sep 9: harvested first batch of top buds from several Glues. There are three different bud types with the deep purple, almost black, ones being nice and hard and ready for picking.
Sep 14: harvested second batch.

Northern_Ent Sep 23: days are getting short quickly and overnight lows are consistently 5C or lower, but there’s still time for the remnant lower buds to ripen further.
There is a lack of direct sun in the grow area starting in September. The final buds would have been bigger and even better with some more direct hours.
Nice reliable plant that produces great buds. I had too many plants in small pots which limited the yield, but these plants did better with the weather extremes than any of the other plants. The final buds are awesome and very high quality.
Note the day counts refer to first plant start date with most plants being started about two or three weeks later.

Northern_Ent This year was a first attempt at commercial scale outdoor growing and I used KNF (Korean Natural Farming) methods which worked great at least as far as bud quality goes. My overall yield is not where I need it to be but better luck next year.
No doubt that farming is hard, especially outdoors in an unpredictable continental climate (zone 4) with overnight lows routinely below 10 C in the spring and fall. We also had the historic ‘heat dome’ in late June where it hit 37C three days in a row. Despite these extremes, and being started a bit late (most on June 12) these plants did fine. In fact they were the most robust and reliable of all the autos grown this year, and I mostly wish I had more of them this year.
@@Waylate, yep the end is near. My summer has kind of flown by actually. These Glues had a staggered start and I harvested the main cola on the first plant the other day. The younger ones will likely be another month.
I love outdoor because it reconciliate you with the nature!
Give a good amount of nutrients and they will ensure you a huge yield and super tasty flowers 😍
Sweet hugs from us ❤️

@Fast_Buds, TBD. I’m in Canada and I think you still don’t officially ship here. I have some of your seeds I didn’t try this year, but I would be interested in doing testers for big yielding outdoor plants. Fast flowering photoperiods would work. Cheers.
Look at that frost queen covered in trichomes!! Well done on your grow, mate. We hope you have enjoyed growing our genetics !! Keep up the good work! Happy harvest!!!🌾
