The 3th week of 12/12 is history and flowering has entered the grow room. 😋 I marked day 53 (day 17 of 12/12) as the first day of actual flowering. Everyday I've checked if there were fungus gnats trapped on the yellow sticky traps and I've spotted a few. So not a total infestation. I've also checked for signs of hermies and I haven't seen any. I've had one a few years ago and it pretty much ruined the whole grow. Seeds everywhere. But that was another breeder and strain. Under the screen I did some final pruning and above a minor defoilation. The Runtz are stretching nicely and the screen is filled pretty much like I wanted it to. Gonna leave them alone now, done with bending those shoots under the screen. This weeks temperatures stayed between 20,6°C (69°F) and 24,2 °C (75,5°F) and humidity levels between 44 – 56 % Light pressure was raised from 244 watt at 70cm (27 inch) to 260 watt at 63cm (25 inch). Their diet consisted of ph adjusted tapwater (ph 6,38 – ec 0,49) most of the week. They were barely fed for 1 day. Gonna keep it that way as long as I don't see any signals of shortages or surpluses. Naturally, ec leves will rise next week but one day of feeding seems enough for now. Smell is coming in slightly, but the CAN-lite carbon filter is doing it's job. There's a 600m³ one hanging in the grow room connected to a 550m³ Airfan foam softbox that's dimmed at 40% since the start of this grow. That was the most important info for this week. Welcome to Week 1 of the Sweet Seeds Gorilla Girl XL Autoflowering grow courtesy of the fine folks at Sweet Seeds! This is the second of three consecutive grows/diaries that I am doing to showcase the tried and tested genetics from this reputable seed breeder. My last grow was a smashing success so I have high hopes for this grow as well. Nothing much to report for Week #1 although I will mention that the first watering was only 0.7 of a litre per plant (0.18 of a litre per plant per day) and the second was 1.4 litres per plant (0.35 of a litre per plant per day). I am watering on my usual schedule of every fourth day as this seems to be the sweet spot throughout past grows. I am using the usual- air bubbled tap water that is PH’d to around 6.0 and if need be (over the winter months in Canada) warmed to 68-70 degrees prior to hand watering with a small watering can. The seedling that lost one of it’s cotyledon leaves is fine but still a little smaller than her sisters. So now on to Mom’s tip of the week… Mom’s Tip for Week #1 is- YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR- QUALITY IS KEY!… When considering growing Cannabis, even on a small scale, quality is an important factor in all aspects from the seeds to set up to the supplies used throughout the grow. Starting with seeds from a established breeder will raise the odds considerably in your favour for a successful outcome. Many seed companies are more than willing to ship out freebies while building up their brands which seems attractive to new growers- but use at your own risk! There’s nothing worse than being halfway through a grow and discovering male flowers tucked in amongst the lowest branches or realizing that your beautiful buds have been mysteriously pollinated just weeks before harvest. I know that seeds from a reputable seed breeder are usually more expensive and can be hard to access in certain parts of the world. But purchasing quality seeds from a reputable seed company is the first step towards homegrown Cannabis success. An area that new growers often overlook due to the high price is the quality of crucial components in their set up- including tent, lights, and intake/exhaust fans. Anyone can get away with cheaper pots, oscillating corner fans, water pumps for dechlorination, etc but it’s worth every penny investing into the workhorses of your entire operation. An initial investment of around two thousand dollars will provide serious growers with the longevity and hassle free basics needed. If done right, quality components will pay for themselves within the first 6-12 months of use and continue to serve your needs for 3-5 years to come. Supplies used throughout the grow are the final area where quality is important but somewhat subjective too. Although I’ve already stated that I don’t feel the need to spend big dollars on all the extras (pots, oscillating fans, water pumps for dechlorination, PH/moisture meters, etc- I do believe in doing my homework to make sure that I’m getting the best bang for my buck. I thoroughly research every item purchased and used in my grows by reading customer reviews, speaking with other growers and sometimes even trial and error at my own expense. Making quality an important factor in all aspects of Cannabis cultivation will benefit you, your grows and the planet we live on. 🌳🌎🌳

Das kleine 150 Watt Licht macht sich bemerkbar. An Tag 40 sind sie schon etwas zu sehr ausgetrocknet. Dann mit 2L pro Pflanze gegossen.

Easiest harvest we ever did (in our short career lol), the plant lost many leaves by herself. she has a strong flavour and we literally cant wait to smoke her.

Barneys farm Pineapple Chunk 23rd Feb 2020 👆 Shit I love this strain!! I mean check out the thickness of the buds on this girl. 👌👌 And they still have a long way to go too. 😜 This pheno is very Fruity smelling with tropical fruit being the main aroma I can detect. There is also a lot of stickiness amongst those flowers so I maintain the fans general blowing direction over them as I'd hate to see mold set in because of all the humidity we are getting at the moment. We haven't really seen much of the sun for the last 10 days or so as it's been very overcast with the odd Thunderstorm or light rain shower. The Heat's still around tho despite the clouded conditions , with the daily temps still hitting the mid Thirties. The Pineapple chunk lady is on her second day of no watering or feeding to allow the soil to dry a little and allow more air to reach the root zone. When I do water it will be mixed up with a little liquid potassium and Mycorrhizae foor the roots. Not a lot else to report other than I left my radio playing some classical music for the girls in the greenhouse , as I have read that they can respond well to it. Who knows? A-Day 53 (into week 8) B&C-Day 49 (end of week 7) A - She is stacking well, and feeling greasy! The smell is coming on stronger everyday, frost is just starting to build up. There is a distinct transition as the leaves go through veg to early flower to late flower. Uniform all around, not very tall, but she is hardy and thiccc! B- Full flower now, so many tops! She has shown to be a slower flower developer than A, but the flowers she are developing are almost completely uniform all across the 🌱! I assume because there are so many they will be a little slower. I put her ties back on, and the middle shoots exploded with new stretch and growth, so she is still in that stretch/flower stage. C- what can I say, patience is a virtue. She is looking lush and vigorous. With this being a slightly longer to finish auto strain, she has had time to recover from a) being a runt, B) having slow growth, c) having almost no training and lighter nutrient feeds her whole existence. This is also my control for Topping, she was not, A and B were. This strain is clearly hardy and able to withstand multiple techniques, we’ll see what the end the result is compared to her sisters. All three plants received a full nutrient feed x2 this week. That was: 3 gallons dechlorinated water mixed with 12 ml Micro, 12 ml Bud, 20 ml Grow, and 6 ml Sensi Extra CalMag, PH’d to 6.2. And another very low feeding of 1/3 that mixture mixed into 3 gallons of water. Ive heard many growers who instead of just watering, they will do a much lower strength of nutrients included in their watering, and ultimately never not feed their plants nutrients until flush. Thoughts?

So last Friday I began germinating seed, tap water in a shot glass I dropped her in and let her stay in darkness for 12 hours.. threw her in a cotton round and placed in ziplock bag. A day later she was already growing a tail and it was time to throw her in a home. Planted the seed on Tuesday and here we are already alive and healthy. I just got my Mars Hydro tent (2.3x2.3x56) put it together last night and now the little babe is thriving with her sister Orange Sherbert . We’ve survived our first week !!!

Last week plants were looking super healthy and responded very well to the second topping so I decided to flip the light schedule few days later. They already started stretching and the smell is noticeably enhanced.

420FASTBUDS ORT2109 WEEK 5 The two of these tall ladies are still growi g upward and upward. Not sure they got the memo to slow down a little but over all no complaints they're very healthy and happy. One is more bushy and less spacing between branches but both show no issues especially when it comes to feeding. I upped the GH Flora series 3 part. The Micro and Bloom are increasing and Gro is staying the same. I also increase the volume to 1-2liters every 3days give or take as before was 16oz per feed. Happy Growing

On day 36, the lighting regime was changed to 12 hours of light. Everything goes on schedule, the plant looks very healthy. I'm satisfied:) This is my first plant that grows so well. The leaves are just perfect. Based on the result, I will be adjusting the substrate with nutrient additives.

No complaints this week..leaves was starting to twist and show brown spots on Bruce banner and both cbd harlequin...did some research and came to conclusion its from Ph influctuation..especially being that I've been trying hard to get ph in ideal range the past week and half..I believe I finally got a grasp on it..also I'm starting to realize..if the plants look healthy...no need to panic from a higher ph in runoff in coco coir..so I'll definitely keep that in mind in the future..also I was will be sending these ladies into flowering tonight..I couldn't hold off any more lol..im ready to get this grow out of the way, so I can start my next 1..which will most likely be the same strains..being that I still have a few feminized seeds left..only next time they will actually be germinated all on the same day..I'll keep you updated in my next upload..here comes the best part..Flowering stage😎
