Looking great and smells even better

I guess I first have to extend a big thank you to James and the folks at RQS. The genetics of their “Northern Light” did not disappoint and this was a no fuss grow across all categories. This will be the only time you hear me refer to Northern Lights in the singular. It’s kinda like calling a “pickerel” a “walleye” - you just don’t do that up here😉. She took well to training, showed no signs of lockout or deficiency, and we were at the top limits of botanicare’s recommended feeding schedule the whole time. I’d call this typical NL - the scent wasn’t overly powerful, she grew somewhat squat and while I’m actually very surprised at the final weigh (thought it would be much less), the whole grow was typical of the strain in my experience. Possibly her biggest limiting factor was simply space constraints. The photos pretty obviously demonstrate that she got really crowded out by the neighbouring kush and I wouldn’t be surprised at all if she’d have done a little better with some more room. That said, what isn’t “typical” are the effects. RQS touts this as a cup winner and I can see why. Had the opportunity to sample a little and WHOA! She Hits with a lasting, cerebral and euphoric effect that starts as a light, happy high. Not a crippling or dulling effect at all. Just everything you’d expect from a well rounded strain in general. Perfect. I almost wanna describe it as a classic sativa but I’ve been smoking nothing but a pure indica for so many months now that anything different is gonna feel that way 😂. Que pasa familia, vamos con la cosecha de estas Gorilla Zkittlez Auto de FastBuds. Por dónde empezar, es una autofloreciente que es normalita de cultivar, tiene un periodo corto de crecimiento y de floración igual no es largo, o igual tendría que haberla dejado alguna semana más no entiendo bien. En cuanto a la alimentación , pues la aplique una vez por semana y a sido suficiente, se a comportado bien en interior, la flor pues no es muy prieta porque no deja de ser una autofloreciente, pero es una flor que va repleta de tricomas. El periodo de luz pues de principio a fin a 18 horas, fue suficiente para completar el ciclo de vida como esperaba. After another weekend spent away from home, on day 26 both Opiums present at 30 cm height, having grown big and bushy. Their thirst increased, I will water them when their next day starts. And do some more LST. Not too long until I can install the scrogging net. I am really impressed by their progress. They developed a lot of branching side branches and look really healthy and bushy. In contrast to what I wrote before, I think I can stay a few days longer with the current 80% 18/6 lighting scheme. Leaf positions do not show signs of light hunger, so no reason to change. Watered them with 1.5 l each on their 27th morning, this time adding some flower fertilisers too. Compensated their relief with some more LST. I can see in timelapse video they are tmelselves compensating this stress easily; it’s amazing to see how fast they turn their heads. You’ll see soon too. For reference: Pot diameter is approx. 25 cm. So lady #1 spreads about this much, lady #2 is even about 10 cm more. Guess they’ll make a very dense scrog surface, but first let’s have them have their stretch. Day 28 evening revealed ladies are getting thirstier. The holey pots might be helpful in root development, but they are not when it comes to keeping the tent clean. Because of their structure, water runs out in respectable quantities each time they are fed, which takes a long time to evaporate and adds to air humidity of course. Which on the other hand is currently quite ok. Outside air temperatures are around 30 °C the last days, so a bit more humidity helps to keep the VPD in range. Which is quite ok as I still cannot complain about their growth – around 2–3 cm each day currently. Grow video for day 28 (sorry about the interferences! Due to the control hard- & software being offline I cannot silence the blower(s) when a photo is taken anymore) shows steady growth and very vivid movements again. Dropping of their leaves around their evening is possibly due to me watering them again as soil was surprisingly dry already. On their day 29 evening, it’s clear to see how much they are stretching: They really gained 5 cm since yesterday! Lights are close to 30 cm, so I think I’ll reposition things a bit when their next week starts. Attached video shows the day’s progress. They say you cannot scrog an Automatic but seeing the development speed and bushiness I decided to give it a try nonetheless. I guess the buds can profit from being a bit more apart from each other if I handle to fiddle them through the holes in time. I rearranged the lights to be at about 45 cm apart from the tops and set the lights to 100% at a 16/8 lighting scheme, waking them up one hour later than before and sending them to sleep one hour earlier. Last day of this week, day 30, shows that growth speed has even increased. Lady 1 crosses the scrog net already which is positioned at 46 cm above soil. Gave them slightly enhanced water again, 2 l each.

Vamos familia, actualizamos la cuarta semana de vida de estas Papayton de Fastbuds. Tuve problemas con la temperatura que estuvo alta 28/26 grados y humedad dentro de los rangos correctos, la única queja es la temperatura, 16 horas luz, 8 oscuridad, estiraron un poco, pero van lentas por el momento, que cojan fuerza. El trasplante a sido realizado a la maceta definitiva, 7L con sustrato Top crop. Hasta aquí todo, Buenos humos 💨💨💨

So far this week I am starting to germinate 4 seeds. 2 are blue dream matic and the other 2 are pineapple Express auto from Fast Bud genetics. I also did a leak test on my diy undercurrent rdwc set up. I should have seedlings by the end of the week. Update 1. Both blue dream have 1/2inch tap roots and 1 pineapple Express has a 1/4 inch tap root. The other one has just opened up. Hopefully that doesnt mean they are going to be slow growers. Update 2. Sorry I dont have any more pictures this week. I dropped my phone and now my camera doesn't work. The 2 blue dream matic are about an inch tall and in rock wool. The 2 pineapple Express auto have not sprouted yet. The tap roots are slowly getting longer. I think it may be the temp of the seed starter. I purchased a seedling mat and have them on it. So hopefully I will have 2 more sprouts. I also have been fighting with fixing the leaks in the buckets. So I bought some flex seal spray and it worked!

Hi Growmies, She is developing nicely and still in her flower stretch, she also became a bit thirstier than before. The rootball is still growing at d looking pretty healthy, only a bit of staining from the Rhizotonic. The feeding regimen has not changed since last week. The ppfd at the canopy is in the 600 range at the moment. Thanks for stepping by and hope to see you next week.

Already started sprayin with VegFoliar 7/5 Started FloraFlex V1/V2 0,4g/l 9/5 Moved plants to a new veg space where i will keep mothers 🙌 I got 2 new reg strains in there. That's a L.A. Kush Cake and a Skywalker OG. Both found while rolling 😅

Grow diary 11 Stage 3 Days 21-30 Day 22 removed lowest nodes. I'm also thinking i may be overwatering. Day 24 eventually found my humidifier. Day 26 topped both colas. Day 30 training. The last 9 days have been fairly bad, around day 22 I thought the grow looked a little overwatered. This time I am using a home made ring to flood the pots, i didn't take into account that this ring lets out about 10 times the amount of water then the blue drippers. I cut the watering down and the she started to recover. She isn't the worst looking one out the 4 strains maybe the 3rd worse looking one. She is recovering better then the others. purple punch is looking great and smells even better There are 2 purple punch plants in this grow and they are defenately producing different types of flowers they both smell the same tho but look completely different. one leaning more to the sativa and the other lookes indica all the way. im going to run them in ice water during the flush weeks to see if either one shows some purple just another three weeks or so then it will be harvest time i cant wait smoke some of each type to compare sisters from one another one is skinny and the other is big boned and both smell kick ass. having a hard time staying in the 70s its gotten quite warm the last fiew days and has reached 84 had to open the tent door to get it down to 78 when the lights are on hopefully it wont get any warmer before harvest time . in 3 more weeks
