D53 - It's been a few days since my last entry, but I had the opportunity to spend a long weekend in Amsterdam, and who can say no to that? It's a mission to hook up the automatic drip irrigation for only a few days of travel, so I watered the girls thoroughly before leaving. Sure, they were thirsty when I came back but weren't drooping. The trichomes still show a bunch of clear, so chop day is still a bit off. The girls STINK! Or rather, they smell amazing but smell A LOT. It's that bad that I'm replacing the old carbon filter tomorrow. I was initially planning on replacing the filter after this grow, but my girlfriend starts to grumble a bit, so I better get to it... D56 - We're at the end of the eighth week of flower, and it is all a waiting game. I still see many clear trichomes, so that it will be another week or two before the chop. I'm a bit concerned, though, as we have had a lot of rain lately, and the general humidity is relatively high. This increases the humidity in the tent as well, and it is currently in the low 60s even though I have a small dehumidifier running. That is high this late in flower, and I'm worried about botrytis.

Flower day 24 - Ladies are coming along great! A few are having calmag deficiencies but nothing major, other than being a bit crowded I couldn’t be happier with the grow so far! The total height at harvest was 42". Measured from the top of the net pot to the tip of the cola...Almost too tall for the tent, when you add the light, distance and air filter. The wet/trimmed weight was 409g for one plant. Took about .3m2 of grow space. Super resistant to things like mites and changes in environmental conditions, and nutrient levels. Be careful at end of harvest, the buds are so fat, wet, and dense that mold/rot can quickly be a thing if not managed with humidity and airflow. I opened up the nodes a bit to help with air flow. The diameter of each main cola was 4" at time of harvest. I moved my fans around three times a day to make sure each side had some direct air for a few hours each day and kept RH under 55%. I let the cool air here at 7,000-foot elevation pour in at night and she prob got down to 52 degrees. Purples were very prominent, but I'm sure some will fade as the cure happens. I would totally grow this again.

Week 3 for the ztrawberriez from our favorite autoflower company, of course fastbuds 420! All looks quite good at the moment. This week we gave bloom, root, silica, calmag amino, sugar shot, sticky fingers and bloom booster all from xpert nutrients!

nice strain with a rich terpene profile! sweet, gelato like, hard hitting smoke! sadly my phenos had no banana taste but still very nice

The berry scent is intensifying and the buds are fattening up pretty good. Since I should be done with the harvest pics from the auto crop I can prob start taking some pictures next week. Only change this week was humidity dropping it's getting cold here. I've been defoliating a little bit here and there every time I feed but nothing too heavy.

📆 Week 4, 12-18 May 2024 12 May - Upgraded light to ViparSpectra XS1500Pro. 13-14 May - Observed the plant. 15 May - Plant shows first pistils. 16-18 May - Observed and let the plant grow. 📑 It was time to upgrade my light and it was an easy choice to stay with ViparSpectra. In my opinion, for small tents and the home grower they are the brightest lights available on the market. The only problem with the *2024 new versions are the dimmer switches. They limit how you can adjust the power: 5, 25, 50, 75 and 100% are the only settings, nothing in between. If you are trying to “dial” in your DLI/PPFD it makes it impossible without adjusting light height, which is quite cumbersome comparatively. Your forced to work around an issue which should have never been one! The plant is showing its first pistils this week. This doesn’t mean its in flower. There is no bud formation yet, she is just letting you know she is female. It could be another 2-3 weeks or longer before buds start developing. seems like she is having a nitrogen problem... unsure if its genetics or what. will just be giving water to see what happens and hope for the best. pruned to expose bud sites a bit more. crystals now forming. the crystals smell almost sweet. day 51 7/3. gave a ph water of 6.2 and with some cal mag. think ph too high. maybe light too high too. moved up slightly to get twmp to 26.5. going by cutting in water im hoping i am right as far as ph. #science. * dayb51 top bud seems to be moving again. ph worked?
