Boy she has been through a lot but it doesnt slow her down she pushes on . The tent set up was so off that she just took a huge hit and is just getting better now and starting upwards growth again .. The genetics are good but I'm stressing this baby out the last two weeks and looking forward to her future growth and success ..cheers family

Week 8: Flowering Stage Rising Temperatures and Weather Challenges The temperatures are expected to rise slightly this week, but intermittent thunderstorms and heavy rain are also forecasted. This unpredictable weather presents a challenge, but I remain hopeful for continued growth. Snail Attack I had been leaving the plants outside overnight, but during a late-night check, I found three giant slugs feasting on my Gorilla Cookies buds. These damn snails just won't give up. I'm seriously considering installing some kind of automatic deterrent system. Feeding and Watering Consistency The amount of water and nutrients remains unchanged. Each plant continues to receive 3 liters of nutrient solution in their 11-liter pots to prevent salt buildup and ensure optimal growth. Growth Observations Banana Purple Punch and Blue Dream: Both strains seem to have halted their vertical growth. They are now fully focused on bud development. Tangie: This plant is still vigorously growing with new shoots appearing everywhere. Tangie seems perfect for low-stress training (LST) and could probably handle a well-timed topping without issues. I had to do some light defoliation to make sure everything receives enough light. Gorilla Cookies: While it’s not growing as aggressively as before, it is concentrating on flowering. Despite this, it continues to gain some height. Looking Ahead As the flowering stage progresses, I'm eager to see how the plants adapt to the changing weather conditions and how they continue to develop. Despite the challenges, the plants are showing resilience, and the buds are looking promising. Update 18.07: Pest Problems Bad news, growmies. During my daily inspection today, I discovered some unwelcome pests. Some leaves on all the plants had white or silver dots, which I suspect are caused by thrips. The Banana Purple Punch plant was particularly affected, with numerous black dots on the top buds, likely aphids. I had to remove two small buds 😞. To combat this, I brought all the plants inside for a thorough shower and removed any affected leaves. I then sprayed them with a light neem oil solution, taking care to avoid the buds to prevent affecting their taste. The Banana Purple Punch plant has been isolated to prevent further infestation. I'm open to any advice or suggestions on how to handle this situation more effectively. What else do you think I should do? Update 21.07 The heat has been intense lately, with temperatures soaring to around 31°C (88°F). Despite this, my garden is showing remarkable resilience. After battling thrips and aphids, my plants are bouncing back. The Tangie, Blue Dream, and Gorilla Cookies no longer display any signs of thrip damage on their leaves. It seems the light neem oil solution has done the trick. However, my Banana Purple Punch remains a bit of a mystery. This strain appears particularly sensitive to nutrients, even though all my plants receive the same care and feeding. While the other plants look lush and vibrant, the Banana Purple Punch shows some troubling symptoms. Some leaves exhibit early signs of nitrogen toxicity, while others curl upwards with no apparent nutrient burn at the tips. Additionally, the large fan leaves are yellowing. Despite these issues, the buds are frosty and thriving. I recently checked the trichomes and found that most are still clear, even on my Blue Dream, which already has a promising main bud. It's clear that patience will be rewarded with this beauty 😍

Buds seriously starting to fatten up, put out some serious trichomes and smell this week. Smell has intensified quite alot since last week soon as you open the tent the smell smacks you in the face. More trichomes by the day looking like a serious smoke. Upped the EC to 2 for this week to try and get a much out of these as possible. I won't be going any higher than a 2 EC so I don't fry my plants. Some orange hairs starting to appear on both the cereal milk and wedding cake.

So she was chopped (wet trimmed) yesterday (F74) and is now hanging up to dry at 55% RH and temps between 15 and 18ºc. I made fresh frozen dry ice hash today using a 160 micron bubble bag, a flat surface, 8kg of dry ice and a couple 5 gal buckets. I already have the weights for that, which far exceeded my expectations. Those figures I will post once she is dried and in 1 quart screw top glass jars. People suppose dry ice hash is inferior quality vs bubble hash. I am not experienced enough to comment on that but must say it is extremely easy to make hash with dry ice, it took 40 mins to process 995g of trim which included sugar leaves, some stems and popcorn buds. I then pressed it into 3.5g briquettes for storage using a pollen press. As you can see from videos, this stuff is all blonde - and after already trying some today with some friends, it knocked our boots off! Will be back in 5-7 days with harvest figures, smoke analysis and other details! Happy growing all! P.s I ticked defoliation this week - the only week I intentionally cut any leaves off for the entire grow 😉

The plants have already been topped. Today, on 25-05-2024, two large leaves were removed, covering the sprouts. The LST was done at the same time.

Well week 7 day 1 (day 50) and the girls are starting to progress. Looking very sticky indeed. Bat taking a cold spell at the moment. Hopefully it passes quick. Day 51, added a small fan to circulate a bit more air as the buds are now starting to fatten up. Day 52, watered them tonight and took this little video. Day 53, just letting them be ✌️ Day 54, only one needed some water the other are still damp. Day 55, watered and fed the other two, really starting to frost up now. Oct 12: super warm still so the season is still going. In previous years we’ve had a -10 C sort of hard frost by now. Anyway, Bruce here is taking advantage of the warm weather. Sunlight is weak so not producing as many trichomes as she could under stronger light, but she is still putting on weight and the buds are decently firm. Most fan leaves turned purple at which point they’re no good for photosynthesis so I figured it’s better to remove them here in the home stretch. Might harvest in a few days, or might not… Oct 13: first round of 940 g wet buds, mostly as fresh frozen, with 80 g of that hanging. Buds are less dense than the Gorilla Cookies so despite Bruce being the bigger plant, it looks like the final yields will be similar. Left biggest cola on plant to see how much further it can ripen. Oct 14: watered with 26 C water with some potassium sulphate. My TDS meter has been broken all season so was estimating. Oct 15: nice weather continues. Oct 16: +4.2 C temperature anomaly over last 30 days, and this is “extremely hot”. Yay. Oct 18: sun is so low now that I lose direct sun by late afternoon. Weather turns soon and there are just four more days to go. Bruce will be harvested this weekend.

Are they going into flower? There is not many signs of that because i have a small leak of light between them but will see 🤞

Flower are still thickening up with each passing day. Trichomes are starting to look more and more milky, but there are still a considerable amount of clear trichomes. The densest trichome coverage I’ve seen on a plant in person. Ever cola had filled up nicely and it gives off the scent of grape candy and rubber. Some minor N and cal def symptoms here and there, but I’m feeding heavy, flushing, and giving microbes regularly so I’m not concerned at all. Overall the plant is very healthy. Feed pH 6.6, EC TBD.
