Day 57 - Starting week 9 today and everything is definitely looking and smelling great. Gave her the first feeding of the week today and will start monitoring the trichs here soon but she’s definitely still got some time left. Day 58 - All is looking good and nothing big to update but a few pictures to keep track of the buds fattening. Day 59 - Man she’s getting fat! Measure one bids width and it’s close to 3.5” wide and she’s still got a couple weeks still to go! Gave her a good drink of pH’d water today. Day 61 - Gave the girl the final feeding of the week today and she’s doing nothing but get fat. Did a quick check of the runoff pH and it’s coming out just as it’s going in, 6.6. Can not wait for this girl to finish. Day 63 - Ending week 9 and this thing is a beast, at least for me. She’s is fat and happy and just counting down till chop time but pistils are still white and she’s still fattening up so thinking another 2 weeks or so.

04/09 - Started minor defoliation. Shes getting too bushy and blocking bud sites and causing moisture spots. Will remove a couple of leaves every other day for the next week. 05/09 - Full res change. Realised I mucked up the ratio. Went 35ml Micro, 25ml grow, (Shouldve been the other way around, so added an extra 10ml grow), 15ml Bloom and 15ml Silica. EC 1.4, PH 5.7. Will keep an eye on her and add some additional grow if she does alright. 06/09 - Minor defoliation. Removed about 12 leaves total so far. LST to spread the canopy a little more. PH stable at 5.8, EC at 1.4, Water level dropping. Seems to be stretching and pistils have begun to form! Responding well to the uptick in nutes from the res change. 07/09 - Leaf tucking, LST and took a leaf or two. Shes getting her stretch on for sure. PH stable at 5.8, EC stable at 1.4. Water level still dropping. 09/09 - After much deliberation, I ended up going for a fairly heavy defoliation session and am now going to leave her the hell alone until at least mid flower. I removed a large chunk of shaded leaves and bud sites and effectively ended up lollipopping her. I also removed all the old LST, and added a couple to pull leaves out of the way. The canopy remains largely unchanged, but shes much more airy now, and Im seeing far fewer damp spots where leaf perspiration has occured. Now to see if I can keep my hands off for a few weeks!

After defoliating both Barbarian (=AK-47 x Barbara Bud) plants after week 11 they now develop more and amore flower clusters, since the light can penetrate deeper int the canopy now. The plants are producing trichomes like crazy, even the bigger sugar leaves are covered in them! VERY FROSTY PLANTS! The flower clusters clearly form colas now along all side branches and both plants fill up nicely. The smell is now strong and sweet with a clear peach aroma to it, it makes me smile every time I look into the tent. The plants love the Advanced Nutrients feeding schedule and are getting the recommended dose every watering.

well, it's exactly 12 weeks :) and my house is full of lemon aroma :) the girl endured really difficult growth, but she coped with everything perfectly :) who followed the growth, you saw that she grew on the balcony for 10 weeks, and she spent the last 2 in the grow tent :) 500 gr wet weight !!!!:) , before putting it in the ground I expected less than 10 g dry yield :D then this growth turned out super well, if it wasn't for my vacation I would have let it grow for about 2 weeks I think. but everything is still very good, I'll go home, fix it and do a smoke review :).

Week 8 update.... Plants are taking their sweet time. Hoping im doing this shit right. I trimmed some more popcorn bud branches and took out a bunch of fan leaves. Trying to utilize my light and control environment. Opened up the canopy with some pipe cleaners.... is it too early to guesstimate yield? Plants are 8 weeks, about 2 weeks into flower. . i figure i have another 50 days or so. Breeder gives 65 days for flowering. Im at around 15. Not counting the week stretch after first preflowers...... feeding about 2300 ppm. Light about 15 inches above canopy. Now it's the waiting game. Light staying where it's at. Ec staying where it's at until flush. They're shouldn't be many leaves growing back. My only thing i have to focus on is the amount of times i water a day and keeping an eye out for any cal mag deficiencies. Gave a little cal/mag/ nitrogen for the loss of leaves in tonight's feeding.

The plant is drinking over 3 gallons of water every day. I’ve lowered the PPM’s to 600. Everything seems to be ok now. I will try to change the reservoir water every 5 days from now on. She started to smell amazing! Very lemony 🍋 P.S. Lowerd the TDS to 550 PPM on day 46. Also just realized that I stressed my plan with to much light. I moved the light at 13” and dimmed to 95% ... I will continue to dim it 2% every day...

What am explosive week!! Trio is looking great!! Increased ppms on two and lowered by 2% on the last girl as she is very sensitive. All three have had incredible root growth, ill take pictures next week. I added cal-Mag to their line up and increased the light intensity to 50% will stay here for the week and increase 5% each week. The pH has not been fluctuating like the last run, these girls like to stay around 5.8-6.5. The tent VPD (Vapor Pressure Deficit) has been holding stable in the green for the last 4 weeks, I am going to shift the environment over the next two weeks to the next stage of growth which is the late veg/ early flower.

Welcome to the Week 9 update for the Sweet Seeds Cream Mandarine XL Auto’s. This was an eventful week of the grow as I finally gave up on the first two plants suffering with the majority of the powdery mildew. Instead of wiping a single spot off of a leaf it had progressed to wiping multiple spots off of the majority of leaves. It was becoming super time consuming just trying to keep up with not further contaminating the tent. So after fighting the good fight but realizing it was now a losing battle- I decided to harvest the two smallest plants. They were pulled from the tent right at the end of Week 9 and placed in my garage for 3-5 days before they were actually chopped and trimmed in Week 10. My garage is not heated and the temperatures have been around 0-5 degrees celsius so both plants had some time to “chill out" before harvest. Not only did they reek stronger than ever but also seemed to produce additional resin after being exposed to the cold for a few days. I chose not to weigh the wet trimmed bud as it hasn’t amounted to much but after drying for 7-10 days it’s working out to be approximately 1 mason jar of nuggets per plant. I will provide final weights and better pictures of the bud in my final harvest update. Nothing much has changed for the remaining two plants except for drinking a little less water and the humidity has slowly been decreasing as Canada moves into winter. Week 11: Final Countdown Light Mold Issues: Despite careful management, I encountered some light mold issues on both plants. Fortunately, I discovered the mold spots early and was able to remove them without significant losses. This underscores the importance of vigilance during these final weeks. Tangie: Tangie’s buds continue to swell and mature beautifully. The aroma of fresh orange peels is more pronounced, and the smell is fantastic. While not as frosty with resin as Gorilla Cookies, Tangie makes up for it with her delightful scent. Currently, about 20% of the trichomes are still clear, with the rest turning cloudy. I'm aiming for all cloudy and very few amber trichomes to achieve an uplifting effect. Tangie will receive one more feeding with Finalpart before starting the flushing process. Gorilla Cookies: For Gorilla Cookies, I plan to feed her with Finalpart only one more time, and then it’s flushing time. The trichomes are mostly cloudy, with no amber trichomes yet. Unlike Tangie, Gorilla Cookies is covered in resin, with a strong skunky aroma that intensifies daily. Pest Management and Plant Health: The sticky traps have been effective in keeping thrips at bay, and there have been no new issues with aphids. Overall, both plants appear healthy and vibrant, showing no signs of stress as they approach harvest. Environmental Conditions: The weather remains hot but humid. While the plants are receiving less light on the balcony compared to the garden, this hasn’t significantly affected the ripening process. Having them on the balcony makes it much easier to monitor them daily, reducing the risk of mildew and significant losses. Final Thoughts: As harvest time approaches, I'm excited for the final results. Everything is prepared for harvest, and the weather will stay perfect for the last few days. I plan to give the plants as much time as needed to reach their full potential. Update 08.08 During my morning inspection, I found mildew on both plants. For the Gorilla Cookies, I had to remove some larger mold spots inside the buds. I carefully disassembled parts of the plant to ensure I didn’t miss any mold and ultimately decided to harvest it. Although I couldn’t let it fully ripen as planned, the trichomes were about 90% cloudy and 10% clear. That most be good enough. For Tangie, the compact and bushy growth led to some mold issues. I took the largest colas off and gave them a thorough inspection to make sure no mold was left behind. So far, I've harvested about 70% of the plant. Since most of the pistils on the remaining parts are still white, I'm giving them a bit more time to mature. I'll keep feeding with Finalpart at a slightly lower dosage and see if we can squeeze out a bit more potential from these final buds! Update 12.08: Final Countdown We’re almost there! Most of the trichomes are now cloudy, with a few amber ones starting to show up on the top buds—signaling that she’s nearly ready for harvest. Today, I gave her the final dose of Finalpart. I’m convinced that Finalpart has made a significant impact, boosting resin production and speeding up the ripening process. The buds are looking absolutely fantastic. Once the coco dries out, I’ll give her a thorough flush to eliminate any remaining minerals from the grow medium. I’m optimistic that this will further enhance the aroma and flavor, making the final product even more exceptional.
