Gorilla Jealousy F1 is making progress. She is just shaking off the stress of 2 neem oil treatments. I have not seen any signs on her. She was just in same area. So it had to be done to try to solve it. I dunno if it is solved yet. I am watching and still looking to find whatever it is. That's all that is really going on. Tag 39: Heute habe ich an alle Seitenarme Holzspieße befestigt. Befestigt habe ich diese mit kleinen Stücken Softdraht die Arme werden zusätzlich noch durch den Softdraht unten bzw. Vorerst in der Waagerechten gehalten(gezogen). Ich muss noch schauen wie ich die noch tiefer ziehe um eine optimale Lichtausbeute zu erreichen. Es ist also noch einiges an Geduld und Grübeln angesagt. Tag 40: Die Cookie Gelato ist etwas zu trocken geworden, das ging so schnell ich hatte sie erst vor 2 Tagen gegossen davor alle 3. Plants that are too far from an adequate light source will respond by accelerating stem growth in order to get closer to the lamp themselves. Especially when there are many other plants. A lack of lighting can easily cause overcrowding in a growing chamber, reducing the steady progression of your crop and the distance ratio between your bulbs and your plants. To address this problem, be sure to provide enough light to your plants to prevent stem growth. At the same time, you should not position your lights too close to your plants either since this would also result in an over-stretching of the stems and in some cases, the loss of your crop. In addition to the distance between the light source and the plant, the type of light you will use also affects the size of the stretching of your crop. The orange and red lights encourage stretching and result in thinner, larger stems. And conversely, blue light stimulates a growth of thicker stems and a smaller size. When a species is ready to enter the vegetative phase and undergo its most drastic stretching period, metal halide lamps can be used to deter far too long stems. THE HEAT Heat is another essential element that can determine the stretch size of your plants during vegetation. Temperatures above 27 degrees push the stems to lengthen more and more and will propel the potential of sativas to push as high as possible. Heat lamps that are positioned too close to plants create an intolerable environment that will grow large, soft plants that will potentially wobble until they fall and lose flowers in its fall. OTHER CAUSES OF STRETCHING There are multiple variables that can lead to the stretching of plants beyond what could normally be expected of the plant. Environmental stressors resulting from transplantation (when a plant passes from one pot to another) can cause the plant to return to shock. This will eventually trigger a reaction causing a stretch. Cannabis plants that are not grown in decent conditions or do not receive enough nutrients will respond in a variety of ways and this includes stretching. Crops that are not spaced far enough apart are likely to stretch to sting the light to other plants. Due to extreme proximity, the plants will fight among themselves to reach the light, forcing them to expand as much as possible throughout the crop. HOW TO CONTROL STRETCHING DURING FLOWERING Stretching during flowering, you guessed it, takes place when you move your plants from the vegetation stage to the flowering stage. This is a completely normal reaction, as your plants are preparing to bear the weight of their heads. Stretching of a plant at the beginning of flowering varies widely; some plants can double in height while others grow only a few centimetres. There are, however, two main variables that can give you at least an idea of how your plants are stretching during flowering, and how much. Here are these two variables: Variety: Genetics has the greatest impact on the size of your plant. In general, sativa varieties stretch more than indicas and tend to develop long, slender stems. Light: Some lights, such as HPS, are more likely to encourage stretching. In addition, great distances between your canopy and your lights will cause the plants to stretch as they try to get closer to the light source. Stretching during flowering usually lasts the first two weeks of the phase. To minimize stretching, keep your lights between 10 (for CFL) and 30 centimetres (for HID) of your canopy. Finally, choose indica varieties if you have a smaller growing space. HOW TO AVOID STRETCHING In many cases, you can expect your cannabis plants to stretch during the flowering phase. Keeping that in mind helps to make a plan in case your species ends up growing much more than you could have imagined. If the information is available, get information on the standard size of your species and compare it to the size of your growing space taking into account the necessary distances between the bulbs and the plants. TRAFFIC While outdoor crop operations benefit from natural air to naturally limit stretching, indoor crops must assume the maintenance of air circulation within a confined space. Basic ventilation is enough to help the cannabis stems strengthen and become thicker rather than too high. In this way, the plants continue to grow vigorously without reaching heights and at the same time, your tolerance ceiling. MANUAL INTERVENTION For growers who want to get their hands dirty, there are physical procedures that can be done to reduce stretching. Similar to the natural effect that the wind has on cannabis plants, manually bending the leaves and stems will cause tiny cracks in the plant's tissues that will cause the plant to focus on regenerating its wounds instead of its vertical growth. THE TOPPING Topping is a form of manual intervention on cannabis to influence its performance, shape or size. In essence, topping is a process in which a new node is cut, growing from the plant to reduce its size and create a "v"-shaped notch that will eventually form two heads. Topping may be an effective measure to combat stretching, but it is important not to do so when the flowering phase begins. In most cases, an abnormal stretch of cannabis plants will not completely destroy your crop. In fact, stretching can indeed help increase your performance. For growers with a growing operation large enough to contain tall plants, stretching can increase the total yield of a species with more vertical space for head formation. In both cases, stretching can easily be planned in advance and there are multiple solutions to help you with this problem which is all too common. May the force be with you 💪

Soweit war diese Woche alles in Ordnung bis ich mitte der Woche entdeckt hab das die Orange Bud an zwei Stellen das schimmeln angefangen hat.. Hab alles grob weg geschnitte sie dann im endeffekt trotzdem paar Tage später geerntet weil die Trichome für meinen Geschmack schon ready waren. Hab die Luftfeuchtigkeit dann nochmal versucht weiter runter zu bekommen.

Well first off wedding glue and LSD-25 got so tall and big that I moved the other 2 out to the indoor greenhouse.

This strain looks absolutely amazing. I ended up keeping the other purple punch going . I didn’t continue it in the diary . I had intended to kill it because of the way it looked. I guess it had wrinkly leaf syndrome . It ended up turning out 🤩. 1000 grams from two plants. The smell from them while harvesting was overwhelming.

Inicio de floración , fotoperiodo 12/12h. bajo 300W, ATS Pro 2,7 µmol/J. Por lo que hace al cultivo. Una segunda aplicación foliar con Spider boom 3ml/l para prevenir posibles plagas de araña roja. Todo y habiendo unas temperaturas en el exterior de 0ºC en el interior se está bastante bién. 😋 Así de primeras diria que esta luminaria me parece de lo mejorcito que he tenido nunca, reparte la luz como ninguna otra penetrando mucho mejor. Otra es la comodidad para bajar o subir la potencia y la posibilidad de añadirle un controlador que monitorea la temperatura de la sala de cultivo, el fotoperiodo y la intensidad, así como la atenuación de potencia. Esta semana cansado de ir bajando o subiendo la potencia del extractor durante todo el año he decidido probar un SMSCom Smart Controller. De esta manera espero no sufrir tanto por las subidas ni por las bajadas de temperatura. Muchas veces son las que por A o por B descuido el interior y casulamente son los dias que el tiempo cambia repentinamente. Un primer foliar con Delta9 para que se pongan fuertes para lo que les viene.

10/5 Im still alive. Just incredibly busy with no help. Still have a few outside. Pulled the dreamcatchers and they are drying. A week or so for the others. I'm letting the last ones go as long as possible. I'll try to complete the harvest and smoke reports as i had taken tester branches before the harvest. So much work though. For some reason trichs pics aren't showing up. 10/6 Watered today. Calyxes are swollen and I've got SOME Amber trichs but we have good weather for the upcoming week. Lots of sun so I'm leaving the remainder for a little bit. I'm checking daily.

Empieza la sexta semana. Esta debía ser la última. Pero todavía quedan unos días más, así que me voy a extender a 7 semanas. Se pueden ver algunos cogollos grandes y voluminosos. Algunos otros no tanto, pero sin tanta diferencia. Hice una solución bien cargada para aprovechar la última semana de engorde. Espero llegar cómodo a la cosecha y sacar buenos resultados. Ya fumé algunas hojas con la pipa de agua, y el sabor y potencia se empiezan a notar. Seguiré actualizando cómo se termina esto. Día 38. Todo sigue muy bien. Las flores siguen engordando y las hojas llenas de tricomas. Creo que a pesar de algunos detalles, el resultado va a ser interesante. Ya es la cuenta regresiva y de no mediar problemas habrá una cosecha abundante. Por ahora se prende intermitentemente el ventilador a la noche, por lo que no se ven problemas de humedad. Pero ante la duda en cualquier momento coy a dejar prendidos los extractores toda la noche. Día 40. Estoy viendo que unos pocos tricomas recién se empiezan a poner blancos. Por lo cual puede ser que incluso se alargue una semana más de lo que pensaba, llegando a 8. Hoy llegó el overdrive de advanced, pero no se si usarlo en esta planta, ya que depende de la maduración de los tricomas si empiezo el lavado en tres días, o no. El engorde es muy notorio en estos días, así que ya estoy bastante conforme. Aún así voy a ver si es necesaria una semana más de nutrición o no.

First week went without any major issues. Plants been growing fine and you can see there is 4 steams on this plant that are growing a bit taller then the rest. The SE-3000 is running at 100% rite now and with the PPM set too 1000 for the Co2 it's getting lots of light and growth. Temperature and humidity have been stable for the most part. Was having g issues with my dehumidifier tho for a few days. I believe it was over heating a bit and was auto shutting off. So the my humidity would spike up to 75-80% but luckily it was during lights off and I was home when it happened. After moving a few things around and turning it off for a hour it seems to have corrected itself. Good caz I don't really want to have to buy a new one yet lol. For my nutrients I'm slowly bring it up. By the end of week 2 I should have it closer to 1000 ppm. I also stopped using airstones in my tank because I was having a few issues. Now I'm just using a water pump on a timer. Turns off when lights turn on and the back on a hour before the turn off. I've got most of my fans now running at 100%. Only ones that are still only running at 50% are my two lower section fans. With them set to that I find the temperature and humidity at all 4 corners of the room are close enough that I should have zero issues. Well that's all for now so keep growing everyone!!!

She is fully in flower now and starting to stretch. She wasn't very thirsty, she only needed 2,4l of water this whole week. I again used 4ml of biobizz grow and bloom. I also removed a few leaves to make sure that every budsite gets enough sunlight, other ones I just tucked away.

Things are picking up slowly had some terrible weather over the last few weeks could really do with some sun again lol. We live and learn hopefully we pull thro this one.
