This was the second grow cycle of the Lemon Skunk genetics. I'm happier with the way the second run turned out compared to the first. My yield was higher and one of the phenotypes turned out some stellar top nugs. This grow took way longer than it should have and I'm to blame for some of it. I think I should have went straight to 5 gallon pots instead of hopping into the 3 gallon pots. This cost me at least 2 weeks of extra veg time, maybe more. This harvest took 21+ days to dry. That's about a week longer than last time. I've had to prepare my report early to enter the Diary of the Month. I did a smoke sesh yesterday morning on a nug that's only been curing for 3 days. I'd much rather wait a month to fire some up and let it cure properly. I didn't get many followers or comments on this grow until it was approaching the end. I got the feeling that most people don't like this strain. I'm not really fond on growing it again for various reasons. Mostly because of the amount of labor involved with the trimming portion of the harvest. Maybe I just got some bad phenotypes. I wasn't really impressed with the way the terpenes touch my palate even though it smells really loud either.

Third day after being germinated, watering only with water when dry. Germination method 24 hours in a glass of water, after that it was put on a paper towel for another 24 hours, as soon as they hatched and appeared outside, I placed them in the organic soil that I mixed myself which has Carolina soil, Perlite, worm castings and manure.

Beginning my flush this week. Starting to see amber trichomes here and there

Super hype to try, lowest yielding strain in the tent. But had the best smells. Buds look fairly dense with a lovely dark deep purple color.

06/23/2020 Here she is very well pollinated, and fattening up! I will post a video of her mid week to show her progress. The waiting begins. I'am really hopping #3 passes his flower structure (week 3 first pic) into the cookie cake for bigger buds, and less cookie like structure but either way taste should be great and potency off the charts!🙏 06/24/2020 Video 2 shows remains of Red Sky male, his pollen is a nice yellow. She is really blowing up! I'm looking forward to having some chery coca-cola sized colas haaha. I will be sure to include a bottle of cherry cola as she gets closer to finishing! Shes got lots of energy still and is very green despite bieng a few weeks into flower! The overall size of the colas and plant itself already exceeded my overall expectation. I highly reccomend this based on the simplicity. She takes a heavy feed well and I havent sadly been able to take the best of care for her as I would of liked to. She is still stretching as far as I know as well. Its pretty impressive to see that in some autos as it's a definitive trait I see in photoperiods. This lady has at least 2 to 3 more weeks I believe. Check back next week to see just how fast she flowers & how frosty she gets. Dont forget its 4:20 somewhere!!!!!!!

Meine Pflanze wachsen nun seit 2 Wochen nicht mehr. Bleiben bei 77 cm stehen. Die Buds werden kompakter und der Geruch wird intensiver. Die Parameter im Zelt sind gut und stabil. Eine Pflanze bekommt gelbliche Blätter. Es ist Sweet Candy. Alle anderen sind noch schön grün. Leider durch das Licht der NDL nicht so gut zu sehen. Habe mit einem Mikroskop versucht den Reifegrad der Blüten zu sehen aber es wackelt alles und ich kann kaum was erkennen. Es ist ein LED Taschenmikroskop. Bekomme eher einen Knick in der Pupille. Hat jemand einen Tip oder Empfehlung für einen besseren Weg die Trichome zu begutachten. Je näher die Ernte ansteht desto ungeduldiger werde ich. Gestartet bin ich am 19.11.23. Es sind nun 18 Wochen um und ich bin zufrieden. Werde euch weiter auf dem laufenden halten und freue mich natürlich auch mal über einen Like oder Kommentar oder Tip über den Erntezeitpunkt. Well that was her last week! 😎 I think she's done well in her 10 litre fabric pot. 😍 Will be harvested within 24h.

Week 8 Flower Flush flush flush 💦🚽💦🚽💦 It's extremely important to flush for at least 14 days when using synthetic nutes, or any bottled nutes in my opinion. The aim is to make her cannibalize (fade) as much as possible before she's chopped. By doing this, she's using up her stored nutrients, causing the leaves to eventually die. The better the flush the cleaner the smoke 👌💨 even when in an organic set up, the plant needs to be nicely faded before being harvested. Otherwise she's still full of nutrients. I still feel I'll be able to get an even better flush when I eventually make the switch to RO water, as my tap water holds a ppm value of approx 150. It's not too much, but 0 is always better. She was taken down on Day 57 flower, after a 16 Day flush. I didn't want to take her any further as she was quite stressed being so close to the light. So to avoid getting seeds I waited until she had a beautiful fade before giving her the chop ✂️ I always take my girls down about 30mins before the light turns on so there is minimal chlorophyll production in the plant. This is to ensure the best smell, taste and overall burn after drying and curing. A subtle but very sweet-ish tropical fruit skin kind of smell to her. Her buds are super dense and covered in trichomes. I trimmed off all fan leaves and then each branch was hung in my drying box and placed in a cool area. She was dry after 6 days and ready to be dry trimmed and jarred for curing. I'll post those pics with the harvest update! Thanks for following and happy growing! 🐺

These Kritial-K are my absolute favorite in the tent, once this grow is over we may buy sevral packs of this.. they're easy, forgiving and look to be massive producers with a little training.. Verdict is still out on smoke quality but if its anything like our last Kannabia strains, its prob a winner..
