Fifth week of flower and it was time to defoliate the indoor units as they were starting to get bushy and block exposure to the lower bud sites. Quick work with the bonsai shears and they were ready to soak in the sun. I left the rooftop plants alone as I believe having additional leaf mass enables them to withstand temp and environmental fluctuations better. Whether or not this is the case, it was an experiment.

We're starting to make some progress, leaves are looking good. Gaining some decent height, not too much. I topped the plant at the beginning of the week, and it has taken very well. So let's see how it turns out 😁 I watered twice this week with 1ltr of dechlorinated water PH'd to 6-6.5, containing 1ml of Ecothrive Trace and 1/4 TSP Ecothrive Biosys. Hello fellow growers, This will be last week of feeding for these plants, I've been checking theirs trichomes for some days and and I will start a 2 week-long flush to make that good white ash when I'll smoke it 😋 I wish I could take some good photos of trichomes to show you here, but my mini microscope doesn't attach to my phone's camera unfortunately. Except for some problems due to my old ph meter this run went pretty smooth so far, and I'm pretty happy with it. I can't wait to see how it will taste like, because the sweet smell is insanely good :) Untill next week ✌️ Felix

Another week has passed and this lady seems to have recovered from last week's sudden problems. I just kept feeding with clear water, I suspect low PH and my solution fixed it. I also raised the light a little more, this SP 3000 is a true beast of a light, and especially the Kush in the middle couldn't handle it that well. Thank you @MarsHydroLED I did some final defoliating, only bundled up leaves and leaves covering major bud sites. This Orange Hill Special is something else though, Im happy to grow this, she is pretty and sophisticated in all, almost majestic. The buds are speckled with orange hairs, the shape of each like a round ball of ice cream. She was pretty from seedling on and looking back, I would have loved some offspring of this pheno. She is a thrill and no signs of male parts on this one, although it can happen with this strain. So glad I have some more seeds and cant wait to put a tentful of this. Don't let its low score dissuade you, yes there is a chance she hermies but when she doesn't my my my... Check em out here @DutchPassion_Official She smells of orange and tangerine with a very strong hazy undertone. This combination promises a great smoke and frankly, I cant wait. 4/26: I top-dressed their pots with about a tablespoon of Happy Frog Cavern Culture and watered it in really slowly with about 1/4 gallon of water each and added cal-mag, humic acid, liquid molasses, silica. I also started them on open sesame. I increased Ph to 6.40 to ensure that they can utilize the increased calcium and the P and K I'm giving them now. 4/27: I bent over their apical colas and tied them down today, and did a little bit of training on the bigger one to "spread her legs" nice and proper.👍 4/29: Both plants are stretching a little bit, but not nearly as much as I had hoped they would.....James Brown said it best: "Got to get on up!" 5/1: I gave them a little water with cal-mag, boomerang, humic acid, and silica. 5/2: I sprayed them with boomboom spray this morning...grow bitches, grow! 5/3: I did a slow-soak feeding today. Backed off the nitrogen a little more, increased silica, and started adding sweet & sticky and signal.

Harvest Day 100 Strong Tropical Aroma

So, eventful week. Prior to putting my seeds into my system, my light and rdwc system was left on as I was dialling in the growing environment before placing the seeds as a final home. My only issue was I had a light leak BEFORE putting the foil top covers on the clay pebbles. Long story short, I got algae which ended up turning to root rot. I spotted it very swiftly and did a res change adding beneficial bacteria to the system along with the base products of remo nutrients. A few days later new growth and recovery is taking place. Day 16- Fully back on track, new roots shooting out into the water and the growth rate has picked up as it should. Foliar feeding twice a day for a little boost until the root system establishes a bit more. Huge changes in just a day. Can't wait to see what a week's growth looks like. Really loving the sunset/sunrise feature on the trolmaster, something I got to experience watching recently! Watching by closely to make sure everything stays in track. Stay tuned for the next one 😉
