behold the epic conclusion of my Medusa F1 odyssey! Week 11 brings us face to face with an absolute masterpiece – our mighty Medusa in all her glory. She has blossomed into a cannabis goddess, and I can't help but feel a mix of pride and hilarity. So, picture this: with scissors in hand and a grin on my face, I bravely took the plunge and performed the cosmic haircut of the century. I snipped the entire girl, leaving her looking like a botanical version of a cool, upside-down pineapple cake! It was a sight to behold, and I couldn't help but laugh at the quirky transformation. With our Medusa delicately suspended upside down, she's now getting ready for her final act of drying. It's like she's doing an acrobatic performance, waving her buds at us from above. Who knew cannabis cultivation could be so entertaining! In all seriousness, though, our Medusa's buds are absolutely mesmerizing. They've reached their peak density and glisten with an abundance of trichomes. The colors are a true botanical wonder, like a vibrant firework display against a night sky. Speaking of trichomes, I continue my daily trichome investigation with the precision of a detective. Each day, I observe those tiny resinous diamonds, searching for the magical moment when they're just right – cloudy with a hint of amber. And the aroma, oh the aroma! Terpenes fill the air with an intoxicating fragrance that makes my nose dance with joy. If only we could bottle this cosmic perfume! Another good week!! I defoliated the smaller of the 2 plants mid-week... I think she is doing very fine. A small hiccup with the feed that same night. Only a few leaves are showing any sign on nutrient burn. I went ahead and fed them again today. I plan on watering them in a day or two... they were very thirsty this afternoon!! So, I definitely need to up the watering. I've still been feeding 3 quarts twice a week. Otherwise, all seems to be going well!! They are frosting up very nicely!! So exciting!! Peace!! Update for grow question: @The8thChevron thanks!!! I pulled them and will hope for the best for now. So close to the finish line. If I see more trouble brewing I will pull the plant. I don't know how to answer directly to you on the grow question.... Thanks again!!

Tag 70 - Beginn der 11 Woche. Die Pflanze hat sich in dieser Woche gut erholt und die Blüten sehen super aus und riechen dazu noch Wahnsinn! Ich glaube den pH-Wert zu senken war die richtige Entscheidung! In dieser Woche habe ich aufgehört mit dem Dünger und habe begonnen die Pflanze zu spülen, dabei gebe ich 1,5 - 2ml/l Flawless Finish von Advanced Nutrients zum normalen Wasser hinzu. Die Pflanze wurde hier an Tag 70 bereits 4x mit Flawless Finish gegossen. Ich gehe davon aus das ich im laufe dieser Woche ernten werde.

Day 51 - Really bushing out and getting wider. Some more hairs are visible, yet no real bud production yet. Roots are long and healthy looking. Still going strong with the same nutrient mixture. Day 53 - Topped up water today and had a casualty unfortunately. 😕 Day 56 - Switched lights to 12-12 to try and induce the flowering process on day 54. Today they are looking like they have more hairs coming along. Also topped up water again. Plants are still growing very fast. And getting bigger and bigger.

Room setup rundown, examples of bud, et al in pictures... Seedlings/Clones lights - Viparspectra XS1500. Vege lights - Mars Hydro FC-4800 Flower Lights - 650w 3400K 1900umol/s PAR, (3) 226w DIY 2900K 630umol/s PAR (678w and 1890umol/s), Substrate - 50/50 sphagnum peat moss and vermiculite in 5-gallon pots Climate Control - Luckily, the lights, winter and normal furnace use all equate to a decent temperature, though a bit on colder side in in vege phase, sadly. Humidifier is needed early and later a dehumidifier is needed when canopy develops. I only grow in the winter months. Irrigation - do not use the emitters in this diary. They suck a big fat dick to skip a line to suck a bigger dick. They come in different shapes, too. Basic process The little light takes care of seedlings in 2.5" wide seedling pots until first up-pot. The 1-gallon pots fit well under the FC4800 in a 4x4 tent until day 21 after sprout. I plant 150% or more of what i need, so i can kill the weak without concern. The goal is for every plant that makes it to the 5-gallon up-pot being capable of producing a minimum of 160 grams with a maximum of a 35-40 day vegetative phase. Third up-pot is into 5-gallon nursery pots and now under the 3 DIY lights and the 650W light in the big tent for a couple more weeks of vege. An irrigation system in the big tent saves a lot of time. One scrog for training and another for support, just in case. Reverting back to a more systematic approach to canopy composition moving forward. About 2.3 colas per sq ft and 8 primary colas per plant. Yields were similar when over-crowding and being less systematic, but the proportion of less dense nugs is greater and trim time is needlessly elevated because of that fact. I was very controlling about this the first couple years but got away from it for far too long at this point. Drying / Curing - Into mesh racks for 9 days. I wet trim and cut down to similarly sized buds for even drying. Temps are controlled around 68F and RH is set to 60%. Then into some 5-gallon buckets with gamma seal lids and (3) 2-way 67g boveda humidipaks (58% or 62%) in each bucket - 1 at bottom, 2 at top. Temp/RH probe confirms that they hold the RH steady at 60-63%. Cost - 0.33 cents (USD) per gram produced. This includes an accelerated depreciation expense for all equipment used, fertilizer, water, electricity for all equipment used, new filters and other yearly purchases - bti, ph strips, sticky traps, etc. I'm a finance guy, so these numbers are comprehensively accurate and purposely err slightly on high side of cost. The only facet not included is the cost of my labor.

10/29: flowing on autopilot At this point. I did not have to do anything with them this week. They have recovered from that terrible stress from a massive defoliation. The smell is not very strong, but of you get close to the buds, they smell pretty bad honestly. Lol. Its a weird smell. Bot sure how to describe it. Kinda like a bitter chemical. Hopefully that is not the end result of the terps. I am very disappointed now that i did not get one of the really purple phenos. The clones are doing great and have been potted in 1 gallon pots. Not sure i end up keeping any of them now that i know i do t have the plant that i wanted and i al not convinced that i will even like any of these yet.
