Really love a set of scales to keep track of weight too. pH and EC are both critical for thriving plant health, but temperature also plays a pivotal role in achieving optimal growth. It also happens to be the fundamental parameter that's most commonly overlooked. When you think about temperature in the context of a growing environment, you could be referring to the temperature of the air around the plants or you could also be referring to the temperature of nutrient solution or irrigation water, which will affect the root zone temperature. While air temperature is important, for the purposes of this piece, I'll be focusing on root zone temperature and its effect on nutrient uptake and overall plant health. That's because a plant's root system is the location of two essential chemical processes: water and nutrient absorption. In each of these processes, having the correct root zone temperature is paramount for these to occur efficiently. In a nutshell, root zone temperature will affect the rate at which your plants are able to absorb nutrients. If you let your root zone temperature remain unmonitored and uncontrolled, this could lead to disastrous effects on your overall crop yield. Nutrient absorption is largely driven by chemical processes, which take place in your plants' roots; the efficacy of these processes is determined by the temperatures to which those roots are exposed. Once your root zone temperature moves out of its optimal range, the plant will not be able to deliver optimal levels of nutrients and water. Ideally, you should aim to have your nutrient solution or irrigation water temperature at around 18 – 22 °C (65 - 72 °F) to ensure optimal nutrient and water uptake. In addition to having an effect on nutrient absorption, your root zone temperature also affects oxygen availability and solubility. If your water is too warm, you could risk starving your roots of oxygen as warm water cannot hold as much dissolved oxygen as colder water. On the other hand, if your water is too cold, this could shock your plant roots, decrease plant metabolic rates, and stunt plant growth. Peace out.

Hey Growmies! I'm thrilled to share my latest project: two exceptional grow environments, each a lush green haven with 9 plants on plant rollers. We’re employing a blend of Scrog (Screen of Green) and Sog (Sea of Green) techniques. Each plant has its individual ScroG, directly connected to its air-pot, facilitating easy mobility and care within the tent. As the Room is on the cooler side at the moment, I've set up a Solea infrared heater, controlled by an Inkbird ITC-308 temperature controller, to maintain a cozy climate. Each tent is also equipped with a Spider Farmer Cool Mist humidifier for perfect humidity levels. Initially, I planned for identical setups in both tents, but adaptation is crucial. I encountered a challenge with the UR45 lights due to their single plug and UV/IR switches. To overcome this, in Tent 1, I’ve installed two UR45 lights: one dedicated to IR and the other to UV, each managed by a Meross smart plug. The Mars Hydro app manages the light and in-line fan controls in Tent 2, though it has its limitations. The ITC-308 takes care of the infrared heater, while the humidifier regulates itself. I'm really into this setup, but I'm already thinking about upgrading to a single grow controller for all devices. Excitingly, ‘Epic Buzz’ in Tent 1 is competing in the Tent-X Ultimate Grow Challenge sponsored by Trolmaster, who has also sponsored a Tent X Controller for this tent. This addition will greatly enhance our control and monitoring capabilities in this tent. This grow season is extra thrilling as I’m collaborating with Anesia Seeds and Ganja Farmer Seeds. Our Zamnesia autoflowers have been on their journey through the magical flowering period for a while now, this is the second week of flowering considering that autoflowers still flower spontaneously some sooner than others but all around the 3rd-4th week. ---- The general environmental conditions are good, the heat has increased a bit more but for the first weeks of flowering it is not a big problem, let's remember to never exceed 27 degrees centigrade in the last 4 weeks to avoid compromising the quality of the flowers. If necessary open the growbox but never let it exceed 27-30 degrees where 30 is already a lot. The positive thing is that as soon as the lights go out the change is already somewhat visible and as autumn progresses we will also improve. The humidity is fluctuating but we try to control it with two dehumidifiers when necessary, pushing both of them possibly not into the growbox but directly into the room. (I dehumidify the room and the air in the growbox should also be dehumidified) --- This strain has really intrigued us for a feature that we love around here: the plant could turn black in the last weeks of flowering. And I'm taking the saints of all religions to make it happen because I have a new set of macro lenses and I would like to show you something between space and heaven passing through the inside of a black hole. The plant is growing very well, healthy, green leaves no signs of deficiency or excess, great work Plagron! Until last week the lateral buds were practically aligned with the main cola now a tower is starting from the center that will be a miracle of nature. The lil Big Bud is still growing really well😎. I started to add master grower massive bloom from hydropassion since day 45.(0.3gr/L). She really starts to smell good😊.

what can I say she is growing like a beast now! They plants are loving the weekly foliar sprays. The blood, bone and kelp meal are doing a great job. Will do another magnesium sulphate next week.

I watered her three times this week with 1.2 liters of rainwater, and on the last occasion, I did also provide it with nutrients. At the beginning of the week the runoff water indicates that the pH level might be a bit high as 7.1. At the end of the week I've managed to lower the pH of the water, and now it receives water with a pH of 5.8. The runoff was 1800-1900 ppm, and 7 ph, so I will continue to lower the ph, and adjust nutrients too. Overall, she seems to be doing well, and I have no complaints.

** HARVEST DAY FOR PHENO2: 09-27-2022 ** Pictures are from weeks 11~17. Flowering was a breeze, the girls were pretty much on cruise control, I only had to water and feed them every week or so. Notes of spicy orange, really pungent smell. Both are very similar in that regard, one being more spicy and the other more fruity.

These girls are looking very lively and I'm very pleases to this point. Introduction to calmag at the appropriate time I am hoping for better harvest this go around. Hope your grows are all doing good.

4/9/25 This plant is beyond frosty. Stacking up super nicely. Seems like she will yeild quite a bit. My only gripe is that she has like no smell at all. Using the foil as a soil cover is working quite nicely. the top soil is getting filled with roots quite well. Top dressed 1tsp of Bloom 1tsp microbe charge 1tsp bloom

Another good week with average sunny days with solarstrength 750-850w/M2 Strong winds but this plant stands as a tree. I cleaned the big pot. Removed some additional plants, the focus is now to bring the girls home. Two plants are in their last week's, the plant in front is 2/3 weeks behind but flowers are swelling now. This is still the first batch of the season but it takes her time. Buds are swelling and heavy crystallized. The smell is ripe fruit and earthy skunk. A warm and imposante aroma. Almost done😅
