It also happens to be the fundamental parameter that's most commonly overlooked. When you think about temperature in the context of a growing environment, you could be referring to the temperature of the air around the plants or you could also be referring to the temperature of nutrient solution or irrigation water, which will affect the root zone temperature. While air temperature is important, for the purposes of this piece, I'll be focusing on root zone temperature and its effect on nutrient uptake and overall plant health. That's because a plant's root system is the location of two essential chemical processes: water and nutrient absorption. In each of these processes, having the correct root zone temperature is paramount for these to occur efficiently. In a nutshell, root zone temperature will affect the rate at which your plants are able to absorb nutrients. If you let your root zone temperature remain unmonitored and uncontrolled, this could lead to disastrous effects on your overall crop yield. Nutrient absorption is largely driven by chemical processes, which take place in your plants' roots; the efficacy of these processes is determined by the temperatures to which those roots are exposed. Once your root zone temperature moves out of its optimal range, the plant will not be able to deliver optimal levels of nutrients and water. Ideally, you should aim to have your nutrient solution or irrigation water temperature at around 18 – 22 °C (65 - 72 °F) to ensure optimal nutrient and water uptake. In addition to having an effect on nutrient absorption, your root zone temperature also affects oxygen availability and solubility. If your water is too warm, you could risk starving your roots of oxygen as warm water cannot hold as much dissolved oxygen as colder water. On the other hand, if your water is too cold, this could shock your plant roots, decrease plant metabolic rates, and stunt plant growth. Peace out.

Day 15: Switched lights to 20/4 I overwatered them last week when I did the feeding, the fabric pots dry fast but this soil holds water well and I’m not used to planting into final sized pots like this either. It’s taking so long to dry out but I’m letting it. I’ve stopped misting obviously. Watching humidity and temps between lights on/off. Looking good. I will do the same light feeding as last week once the pots are dry enough but will make sure to only water the root area this time. I possibly stunted them a little but they are alive and learning is fun 😅 Halfway through the week update. They finally dried out and are now getting 25ml water per day, with feed. I added an oscillating fan. Temp and humidity seems to have stabilized now. Started to grow again but leaves stacked tightly. I’m playing with the lights, they are a bit strong for this stage I think. I turned off the extra 100w light leaving just the 270w on and they seem to have responded well overnight. Will turn it back on once they start taking off. I think I need to reconsider switching lights to 18/6 if I can figure out how to stabilize temps during lights out.

I put plants into 48 hours of dark to replenish thc and reduce chlorophyll an sugars..helps reduce cure time..

It's time for the outdoor flower stage from a 4 week veg, these girls has mature really strong and have took to its transplant like champs. At this point it's all about monitoring there growth and any deficiencies and on my part patience. Feed skip a day then water then feed then water, y'all get the pattern.

Hello Growers & Tokers! As you can see the girls are looking alive and well! Very healthy green colors so I went ahead and topped all of them. Some at the seventh, others on the sixth node. My plan is to have as an even canopy as I can but I know the two tallest ones are gonna give me some trouble. Looking to have about 6-10 colas per plant. That's about it for this week. Overall i'm really happy with this strain. First i thought i wouldn't get a high yield but i'm pretty happy with it i got 250grams of top trimmed buds 2g of hashoil 2g of bubblehash and another 80grams of dry plant material for making bubblehash. Super potent strain with an amazing flavour, definitely nit the last time growing this strain.

Back left looks hungry gave her an extra top dressing. Increased lights to 75% today Trying to keep VPD around 1.4 the heavy rain is making it somewhat difficult lol. 😕 Any tips or advice is appreciated!

Welcome back.Ladies and gentlemen, today is day 26 of flower and as you can see, she's starting to stack nicely.. Her internadal spacing is awesome and she's starting to smell nice.. Some trichome production, but nothing to brag about, but it's so early on... I have very high hopes for this girl as she has been thriving from the beginning.. Zamnesia Seeds it is amazing. September 9th, 86 days post flip Clones: No major updates this week, plants continue to grow well. Leaves are starting to drop heavy at this point, calyxes are stacking the way a sativa should, stigmas are turning brown as new ones are forming. Smells from last week continue to intensify. This weekend I plan on giving them a nice microbial tea too help break down some of the mites I have a few weeks back. Parents: Growing very well, needs a topping again. God bless!
