######################################### HARVEST (Day 93 / June 4) ######################################### ----------------------------------------------------------- GROW SUMMARY ----------------------------------------------------------- Grown in 4x4 tent - but I only used 2x2 space because of heater and dehumidification and other plants (Outlier Z). This plant used a dedicated CMH 315 light. The plant was grown in hydroponics using a custom single-site PA hydroponics clone RDWC system with Advanced Nutrients Sensi Coco line, Microbial Mass and Orca for beneficials. I also experimented with Rapid start in the RDWC system, but I didn't see explosive root growth relying on Rapid Start as an additive to the system verse using it when starting in rapid rooters which worked well. All around a pretty easy grow and things went very well. Topped twice for a mainline structure and she really spread out. Sparkling golf ball size nugs down the branches and spaced out nicely. The scent off her was like burned rubber/tires or maybe fresh blacktop. A single water change which was only performed when switching to bloom nutrients around week 7. ----------------------------------------------------------- HARVEST ----------------------------------------------------------- No dark period and no flush. On day 93 she was chopped and hung to dry. ----------------------------------------------------------- DRYING ----------------------------------------------------------- Entire plant hung upside down for 15 days. The temps were dialed in at 60F by using the S6 intake fan pulling air from the AC through intake vent on side of the tent. Humidity was dialed in at 63%/60F for 24hr, 62%/60F for the next 48hr. Then 60%/60F for the third day and onward. AC Infinity T6/S6 exhaust and intake fans were on the setting of '2' during drying until day 7, then I could turn down to a setting of '1' once the plants were not transpiring excess moisture. Trimmed on day 18. Then the jars were left open in the tent for another 12 more days for a full 30 day dry at 60%/60F while rolling the jars frequently. Also ran dehumidifier in the tent but it only ran for 1-2 minutes every hour because the AC was doing most of the dehumidification on the intake. ----------------------------------------------------------- TRIMMING ----------------------------------------------------------- Trimming was an absolute breeze. All swelled nuggets, very little sugar leafs left to trim. ----------------------------------------------------------- CURING ----------------------------------------------------------- Flower product was transferred to 1L mason jars averaging 35g of product per jar. I added a mini hygrometer to each jar and chose not to use a boveda this time. The RH averaged 62-64% when trimmed flowers went in jars. Jars were left open in the tent for a total dry time of 30 days from harvest keeping the tent at 60%/60F. Once closed, the jars were burped once a day for the first seven days, once every other day for the next seven days, rolling jars often. The burp was only for 3-5 second for air exchange until a. 62% was maintained in the jar. ----------------------------------------------------------- YIELD ----------------------------------------------------------- * Weight calculated at 62% humidity after 30-day dry and 14-day cure. ============================== FLOWER PRODUCT ============================== 180.41g (6.44oz) ============================== TRIM PRODUCT ============================== 57g (2.03oz) ** All major fan leaves, stems, and branches removed from trim product. ============================== TOTAL OVERALL YIELD ============================== Total: 238.41g (8.51oz) ============================== SPACE YIELD ============================== 238.41g / 4 sqft (2x2 canopy) = 59.60g per sqft ============================== WATTAGE YIELD ============================== 315 Watts / 4 Square Foot (3x4 canopy) = 78.75 watts per sqft. 238.41g / 315 watts = 0.76 grams per watt ----------------------------------------------------------- PRODUCT TEST ----------------------------------------------------------- Bag appeal is top-notch. Trichome covered, with aromas of that unique 'kush' you can quickly identify based on experience. Best OG Kush I've ever tried, hands down! The flavour is kushy, smoke is smooth and definitely my favorite strain in my tote of cured harvests at the moment. I can't keep my hands off of the jars. Definitely not a daytime strain, even for experienced users, although I'll use it in the afternoon when life is throwing curve balls. The effects rise you up, then sets you right down and will wash away all that anxiety after a long day. Put it this way....if I puff a few hours before bed, I still feel it the next morning when I peel my eyes open. No joke. I'll definitely be growing this one again, maybe even next run because I'll be sad when I run out. ----------------------------------------------------------- REGRETS ----------------------------------------------------------- Not running more of this amazing plant. ----------------------------------------------------------- NEXT RUN ----------------------------------------------------------- This was the first run at my new residence so it will take some time to get it dialed in. I had some calibration issues which are now fixed. I'm going to be shooting for 1gram per watt on the next run. ----------------------------------------------------------- FINAL THOUGHTS ----------------------------------------------------------- DarkOwl is the best autoflower I've grown yet. Last time I smoke widow was way back in the 90s

I'm finaly able to check in on her again. ### Day 9 ### She is looking good, a little short, but that should turn out alright. The humidity was only 30%, so I tried to raise it by spraying the walls of the bucket and adding a damp sponge. Watered her with 0.5l ph'd water and also lowered the light again to 40cm from the plant. ### Day 10 ### Looks like she is developing another set of leaves, keep it up girl! 👌Humidity is still not really on point, the sponge doesn't seem to help. Decided to cook some water and put the water cooker next to the vent, hopefully this is a solution. ### Day 11 ### Growing steadily, the new set of leaves are showing more clearly today. The water cooking seem to have some effect, but sadly it doesn't last long, maybe I should look for an air humidifier. ### Day 12 ### Decided to pull the trigger on an air humidifier. Because my grow space is naturally stabilizing to 30%, I don't really need a dehumidifier. This is a lot better then cooking water every few hours! 😛 ### Day 13 ### I will be away again till day 17. I gave her 0.6l of water with her first batch of food and then put 0.25l ph'ed water in the dipper so that she won't dry out. Also noticed that when the humidity was 65% her leaves where a little droopy and now at 50% they look ok. Will try to keep it at 55% while I'm away.

Week 3 update and all systems go for launch. We’re flipping to flower exactly 21 days from seed and so far, the mix looks to be impressive. Counting about 4 males (one that won’t make the cut), 2 indica leaning phenos and the rest are sativa leaning. Side branching has also been impressive so we should be able to pull some rootable cuts within the next week or two. If we got the sexes right (it is a little early to be certain), then the dutchy cabinet will be full up for bud testing👍. Next week will tell the tale🤟. Background This project has been a year in strain selection (and another year in the actual making) to get to this point with a viable potential cross. It’ll be a true polyhybrid with a mix of sativa and indica leaning properties for each. We’ve combined an especially powerful hybrid sativa strain of Strawberry with an equally manageable and hard hitting strain of indica dominant Skywalker OG. The hope has always been to combine them and boil out the best characteristics of each. The strawberry is phenomenal in terms of terp profile and a mix of strong head and body effects while the Skywalker is a mind bending, body butter kind of indica with that earthy Kush profile and flowery undertones. The strawberry is prone to botrytis and fasciation but features excellent terps and yields if grown correctly. She’s Also stretchy and somewhat unruly when she gets going. The Skywalker is a contrast in growth characteristics with a squat structure, medium sized buds and excellent resilience and resistance. The plan is to seed out the available females and take cuts of what we can post-stretch to get a closer look at any differing phenos. Still very much early stages for a stabilized new strain but we’ve got the right foundation of solid genetics. Now we just gotta get it off the ground to the next generation👍. We’re predominantly focused on the plants that demonstrate that hybrid vigour and wasting no time with any problem plants or runts. I completely changed the water and nutrients this week and added some Canna PK13/14. I have also added another MARS Hydro TW2000 light to the tent to try and get more light to the lower buds. Gave both plants a trim also for the same reason. I was concerned they were still not ready to harvest, but expert advice from FastBuds420 told me they probably needed a further 4 weeks. And I will give them an update and the information they requested. I think it's probably because I had the lights turned down to 25% during the veg stage and only at 50% for the early flowering stage; it was not till recently, about 3 weeks, I think the lights got turned up to 100%.

V8, supuestamente hoy haría transplante a los maceteros definitivos, pero, hace 3 días que las plantas están presentando hojas débiles y dobladas hacia abajo, en un principio pensé en que podría ser exceso de agua, pero creo que es exceso de nutrientes, básicamente exceso de nitrógeno, ya que las hojas están con un verde muy oscuro y algunas están presentando manchas color café. Así que hoy les hice lavado de raíz, con agua EC 0, hasta que el drenaje fue de cercano a 4 EC. Esperaré unos días a ver si se recuperan, si no, simplemente las eliminaré y empezaré de nuevo, ojalá se recuperen. V9, al final si era exceso de nutrientes/nitrógeno, menos mal que se recuperaron con el lavado de raíces, pensé que morirían, ahora veré como siguen para decidir si hago transplante hoy mismo. V10, se realizó trasplante a macetas definitivas y un riego suave. Las plantas están todavía en recuperación, esperaré unos días más para empezar el LST. V12, riego. V13, se realizó una pequeña defoliación y LST.

Week 5 begins! Mandarin dreams 1 & 2 are doing well, however MD1 stinks like shit 💩 and MD2 has a mild earthy smell. Increased feeding to 5 liters per plant and did some defoliation of the yellowing leaves. Moved the ladies to the other side of the room for the rest of the grow. Thanks for stopping by 👽🌳🔥

Big week! I got my new EarthBoxes and a bunch of goodies. I picked up the Probiotic Farmer's Alliance kit from BuildASoil, so I also got some EM-1, Kashi Blend, dolomite lime and Malibu compost. Alongside that I picked up Colorado Worm Compost (vermicompost), Gnarley Barley (malted barley, corn and hemp) and Craft Blend (aprox 3-5-2 organic mix). Unfortunately there was a bag of soil missing, so I ended up using my own mix though I am somewhat scared of it being too clay-heavy for the SIP. I inoculated with EM-1 and began fermenting a batch of activated EM-1 to make the bottle last longer. It looks about a week from LST, after that I hope to set up a two-tier SCROG setup and begin growing the bushes. I will begin spraying AEM-1/EM-FPE/EM-5 alternatively once a week for IPM, I will try to avoid using neem this round (unless I find this approach lacking). I also brewed a batch of EM-FPE with aloe that smells incredible, I can't wait to give it a go.

Major changes here at Night Owl summer camp. Have had a rodent problem! Something has figured out a way to get into the dormitory (greenhouse)and had a feast on my plants. Five branches off the Harvey Wallbanger, and two each off the Vanilla Fizz and the 91Grapes. Oh my gosh! I needed to do something else. My wife gave me a spare bedroom for a grow nursery! What a girl I have! So spent the day yesterday moving tents and hanging lights and got the girls all situated in the new dormitory away from some vampire in the night. Will give an individual plant update shortly. ***ok, back. Let’s start with the Harvey Wallbanger. Miss Harvey was on her way to becoming my most interesting grow to date before she was devoured by some creature of the night. She’s a cross of Orange Diesel and Cookie Smasher and even at this early stage of flowering she’s producing a nice glossy sheen and sweet aroma to match. She is a towering 48 inches making her the tallest autoflower that I have ever grown. She is slender and resembles the structure of a clone but I believe her flowers themselves will be massive in size and trichomes production. To date she has yet to make a single leaf with more than five points on it. She is truly interesting. Next let’s explore the Vanilla Fizz. Ms. Fizz didn’t get it as bad as Miss Harvey but suffered significant injuries as well. Loosing two full branches and enough bottom bud sites that the bottom 30 percent is now already cleaned up. She is the bushiest of the three with plenty of growing bud sites. Standing a proud forty three inches tall she comes in last in height but may be stacked up the nicest. Last but certainly not least comes the 91Grapes. Since she received the least amount damage from nightly feastings we are going to feature her until harvest. Only loosing two branches and not much else she was spared from destruction. She is massive!!! Not a massive amount of vegetation just in size over all. She’s 44 inches tall and big enough around for a bear hug. She takes up the entire 40 inch by 40 inch tent all by herself. She was probably spared damage due to her size. Pom poms are everywhere as is evidence of cheerleading practices and she is captain of the squad. Going to have to get a little more creative with the way watering will be conducted in the future. The formula 707 soil is for retaining moisture in outdoor conditions so I am afraid that it will retain moisture indoors and be a pest problem.

Day 21 - she got repotted into her 38 Litre airpot. She is not as close to the lights as I'd like, but saying that I wouldn't mind her to stretch a little bit.
