Our Zamnesia Test #3 has reached the small 16 branches that will one day be buds. I'm growing them a little more to make sure they don't go into flowering with small brunches but we're almost there, a few days and they will go into flowering. It's a plant with a low internodal distance, they are not the most suitable for topping due to the slow response of the mini brunches but just let them grow a little and not go into flowering immediately to still get an excellent result. As a general but very general rule, plants with a low internodal distance are less suitable for the application of techniques unlike plants with a wide internodal distance that are very easy to manage, they grow more slowly and can reach excellent sizes even if worked with techniques that keep them short. The topping worked very very well the plant at the time of topping went slightly into overfertilization due to the evident slowdown in growth, so I slowed down the fertilization for growth but without making it go into crisis we are starting to give fertilizer again. When topping is a delicate moment it is probably better to do what I explain below with this plant I managed to keep myself more balanced the others for a week were quite evident. The ideal when topping repeatedly is probably to start with a slow-release fertilized soil or even start preparing the soil for a period that is at least sufficient for the vegetative phase at most adding a little alga grow which alone I must admit gives me some problems at least in this case if the plant grows straight much less indeed nothing. These guys seem to have some stunted growth from being in that shitty rock wool dish setup I had but they are making up for it now that they are in the air pots. I transplanted them into sunshine #4 because my other plants have had problems with N tox in coco loco, the only other soil mix I have...probably won’t ever be using fox farm soil again. Too expensive for what it is and it’s a pain in the ass dealing with nute probs. Day 8: into the new grow tent tomorrow Day 10: My Timber Grow Lights 480/500W QB came in! This thing is so sleek. I got it in 3000k which is a tiny bit orange/yellow because I plan on spending most of my time in flower with autos. But I find it works just as well for veg too, hard to notice any slower growth or anything. Since I’m in veg I might add my 2000w blurple to the mix to keep the girls happy

Here we are at the halfway point, after the first month our photoperiodic plants are multiplying their florets and then going into flowering. Our Test #3 is at 4 florets and growing rapidly we are almost ready for the cut of 8. My plan for photoperiodic plants is to get to 16, wait a few days and go into flowering. 16 florets as I see it is the perfect size for the 11 liter pot. Topping is an extremely delicate moment as regards cutting the florets to split them, we always take care not to damage the new growing branches. Topping is also a delicate moment as regards fertilization because the plant slows down and absolutely does not need all that nitrogen that it would normally need and that the producers recommend in their sheets. So you should arrive with the plant green and in perfect shape at this moment and dose the fertilizer very well for growth. Mine came from a slightly deficient veg because I kept it low fearing this over effect during the topping that I know well and now I'm a bit over. Nothing to worry about, of course, but if you do repeated topping my advice is to use preferred soil or prepare the soil with Monster Bud Mix by Zamnesia or Plagron Super Mix, in short, enrich the soil and start and only add nitrogen if necessary, especially during repeated topping. In any case, everything is under control and I will demonstrate it to you during the flowering phase. Wait for the Uncle BreadandBuds and see what it does to you. Remember the cold temperature makes the girls absorb food much more slowly than in summer so be careful to give the right amount and to dry the plant in maximum 2 days or you risk imbalances. Herrrrro gang! Welcome to another week of Daank's grow! 8/2: Brought back the Great White. I was reading that it works well in conjunction with other root excelurators, like Rapid Start. I got 2 more temp/humidity sensors for the tent. It allows me to keep track of 100% of what is really going on, I find it to take away worry (b/c temps are very important!). Today was a "eureka!" moment in terms of understanding run-off pH and it's value to telling the grower how healthy the plant is and what nutes may, or may not, be needed. I also got some new LED glasses so I don't burn my fucking corneas when tending to the garden - they are phenomenal and I suggest them if you grow with an LED. Check the videos and photos. Pistils are growing rapidly and baby budlets are starting to form. I'm actually getting a nice subtle purple color - it's very neat. Today's run-off pH was 6.3, and I gave it 6.3 for water - so that's a good sign (I bounce the pH all around from 5.5-6.3). I'll keep track of this moving forward in the diary. Minor defoliation. ***Pro-Tip: If you're wondering what the run-off should be... around +.5/-.5 of what you put in is good. Another week has flown by! The girls are doing great, cruise control this week as I have just been monitoring RH and temps. Trying to keep them as low as possible, I’ve been getting as low as 74 during the day and 68 at night. I finally took a look a look at the trichomes with my jewellers loop, lots of cloudy, and a few amber around the leaves and top colas, but still lot’s of clear trichomes. I’ve ordered myself a wireless/usb digital microscope to assist with the process, and looks like it will be here just in time to determine harvest day. 😎🎄 I started by eliminating the nutrients at the beginning of the week. I typically allow for 3-4 pure water feeds before I harvest, and at the rate they have been drinking, this should be enough to get through the 7-12 days they have before harvest. I don’t flush, but rather “rinse” with normal water amounts, allowing the plant to use up the remaining nutrients in the soil. This also allows me to recover most of the soil from my grows and reuse ♻️ with other soil mix. There has been great debate and a great deal of bro science out there for many years, but the recent studies suggest there is no difference in end result when it comes to flushing or using nutrients right until the end, if a proper dry and cure is performed.
