Big round of defoliation. Very excited to see stretch, they seem to have entered it after a few days delay. Been clearing up larf in rounds as well, they're not quite lollipopped but I've developed my colas. Most smaller tertiary branches are gone, unless theyre sturdy and not going to crowd. instead of completely removing offending tertiary branches, i have left a single node with a single growth tip on each to yield bud. Trying to remove only the weak, malformed growth and stuff that crowds.... want long, thick colas. Recharge, fresh Actively Aerated Compost Tea w/ alfalfa meal, organic cal mag only, sometimes just spring water and cal mag ph'd.

Week 2

Hey now, I hope everyone is having a great weekend. This was a good week for the Purple Punch, she really started to stretch and grew 14 inches in the last 7 days. I did start transitioning her from veg to flower nutrients yesterday. She is now feeding on Silica, Cal Mag, and 50/50 veg and flower nutrients. She has 3 shoots coming off some nodes and only one coming off other nodes. This is the first genetically mutated cannabis plant that I have grown so we will see what happens. The Medic grow light is now running at 100% in F1 Flower mode and I am also integrating the UV/IR bar for approximately 90 minutes per day just before lights off. I will continue to transition her to flower nutrients over the week and by next week at this time all three ladies will be feeding from the same reservoir with Silica, Cal Mag, Maxi Bloom, and Liquid Kool Bloom which is a PK booster. I keep the PH in the reservoir between 5.5 and 6.5 and prefer fluctuations between this range as some nutrients uptake better at different PH's within this range. I will probably do one last light defoliation in the next couple of days and that will be about it other than keeping the reservoir full and in the correct PH range. The tomatoes outside are absolutely loving the runoff from these autos, as that is all they have had to drink since they were about 3 weeks old. Day 42-49 (Day 43) I was at the dollar store today and I found the best little plant risers. And they all link together in perfect 12” squares. Fits in my tent perfectly and only spent 15 bucks. That should help the dry downs quite a bit. I’m going to transplant the euro genetics into 1.7g pots with amended sunshine mix #4 for their final containers. I moved all of the non-marijuana seedlings into a small greenhouse out of my tent so I have some more space and light per plant. I also set up an exhaust fan to keep the humidity at a perfect 65-70% night and day. (Day 44) Everything is looking a little nute burned and droopy. The garlics are showing signs of overwatering and nitrogen toxicity. They look like they want to flower so badly. Node spacing is weirdly short too. I picked up the American genetics to look for roots and they were busting out of the bottom. They’re definitely not rootbound as they’re not even a foot tall yet. This is likely from having soil that is too compact (from using too much rock dust and not enough drainage) causing my waterings to not even reach the bottom of the pot. This was also happening to my other grow. I will make sure to very lightly pack soil into pots for now on because you can always add more later. I’m going to fluff up the pots and see if I can loosen the soil a bit. If that doesn’t work I’m going to look at transplanting into 3g fabric pots and lightly shaking off most of the old soil. Luckily I added a shit ton of drainage for the euro genetics when I amended the sunshine mix so they won’t need a transplant. (Day 46) The fluffing didn’t do much. In fact it might have made it worse lol. I just went to the store and bought some Destiny Organics soil and have decided to transplant. I dusted off 90% of the old soil down to root ball which will cause an insane amount of stress to the plants. The plants started in the aero garden were being choked out by the shitty sponge plug it was germinated in. I took a razor blade and carefully cut them down the middle so the stem can expand. I might have cut a few major roots one or two plants. Other than that everything is transplanted. I cut all my amendments in half and I packed the soil very loosely this time. The situation is not ideal by any means but I’m hoping they will bounce back in the next week. This should at least set them up for a more successful flower. I can’t really expect much quality from botched run but who knows. I might come out with some fire. Since this is my last grow here I don’t even have to pay the power bill for the next few months! (I have a very generous landlord as he’s letting me finish my grow until mid September now 😂) (Day 47) I’m going to give them their first good watering and test my fluffy soil. I watered in approximately 700mls each making sure it soaks to the bottom of the pot. (Day 49) All the plants have bounced back except for the ones with root damage. They are still looking droopy and sad. The black garlic #1 has recovered really nicely and is looking happier than ever. The apical growth tip is so tight it has like 4 nodes within an inch somehow. I recently learned that hormones contained in kelp and seaweed extracts can act as plant growth inhibitors and shorten node spacing drastically. I only added a very small amount of kelp meal to the soil so it must be leftover from the previous foliar sprays Velokelp. I’m going to pinch the top off bg1 and see if the lowers can catch up. Sucks to do that so close to flip but oh well. The euros are looking fully recovered from their burn a little while ago. The sunshine mix is quite thick and water retentive as well but at least it has some extra drainage. They’re all looking quite healthy.

Another freezing cold week !! Before having this plant, i thought that a plant would never survive with this temperatures... but this Afghan Kush proved im wrong, whats amazing because this plants strenght is remarkable, the buds i noticed, are not developing as fast as in September/October, basic grower logic but we are having between 8-14 ºC during the day and 2-5ºC at night.. Wider range of colours, i spot like Purple, Deep green, and even shades of Violet and blue, its incredible :D Last feedings, finished like in the middle of this week and the buds developement degree is telling me, its flush time ... Spotted a few white aphids, but only on the leaves, so not a problem.. Having in mind the temperatures they are not lasting so much hahaha its the good thing Last weeks of life, and i suppose she will be yellowing more during the next week. THe photos are progresive, so the first photos were taken at the beginning of the week and so ... Have a Nice Week Guys :D

Well I will be running this girl again very soon as she has produced some of the sweetest smelling buds I have grown so far . The colour purple is found around the buds and the tricohmes have a very good stickiness to them which makes for some great quality medicine . The team at the actual company seed stockers were very easy to deal with and they answered all my questions . I'm honestly going to run her outdoors this spring in southern Ontario she will be big girl outdoors for sure ... If you want a strain that's resistant to stress and humidity then this is your girl no dought . Cheers canna family and best of luck with your growing future

Bonjour à tous les padawans et les maîtres jedis La semaine 4 est déjà là! Décidément cette plante est vraiment exceptionnelle! Elle représente la force et j'en suis fier 😍 Je me donne pour defi que durant mon LST je fasse faire au tronc un tour sur lui meme. Ma plante est saine le LST ce passe relativement bien je l'ajuste tout les jour je le combine avec la technique du pincage d'Apex cela me permettra d'avoir une canopé plus homogène donc une meilleure pénétration lumineuse et par conséquent un meilleur rendement. Le pinçage est une pratique courante en horticulture. Beaucoup de cultivateurs l'utilisent pour améliorer le rendement de leurs plantations cannabiques ou autres. Il est souvent question de 'taille' des bourgeons apicaux. Cette taille se pratique également mais il n'est plus alors, à proprement parler, question de pinçage. A l'instar d'une taille, le pinçage va permettre de stimuler le développement des ramifications tout en préservant les sommités en vue de la floraison. Il est très utile pour uniformiser une canopée. Pour réaliser le pinçage, il vous suffit de presser 'fermement' la tige [entre le pouce et l'index] aux environs de l'apex jusqu'à sentir un léger 'crAck'. Cela aura pour résultat d'endommager les vaisseaux impliqués dans la circulation de la sève [situés dans le pourtour de la tige], la tige conserve toutefois une certaine rigidité. Pour obtenir le même résultat, il est également possible de vriller légèrement la tige sur elle-même. L'interruption du circuit d'alimentation entre le ou les apex et le reste du plant va provoquer un déséquilibre hormonal qui aura pour conséquence le développement des ramifications antérieures au point de pinçage. Jour 25 j'arrose mon pot normalement avec un quart de son volume en eau toujours avec un PH de 6.3 à cette eau j'ajoute 0.7 gramme de greenhouse feeding enhancer pour favoriser son développement racinaire. Par la suite je n'aurai plus qu'à ajuster mon LST jusqu'au stretch et surveiller mon arrosage, Je pincerai mes apex suivant la pousse de la plante pour uniformiser la canopé. Jour 26 à force de patience et de délicatesse j'ai réussi le défi que je me suis fixé en faisant faire au tronc un tour sur lui meme (photo jour 26) ce défi ma permis d'améliorer grandement la technique du LST. Au-delà de ça cela ma permis de donné au tronc une structure en forme de colonne vertébrale ce qui a pour conséquence une meilleure pénétration lumineuse et une belle canopé homogène. She didn't care for the high dli I had goin apparently. Seems she topped herself from the light , dimmed back to a 40DLI and all is well looking. Rest of her looks nice and healthy just my mistake trying to push alil more with the co2 going for the photos In the room. But really strong smell of candy with this one right now, Skittles or Starburst I can quite place it without having the candy in my face too. Curious to see how it finishes tho, 57 days roughly from seed so she's going pretty well. Not looking for any specific number of days. She goes till It's goes basically .. Into week 8 we go !!

Hi Growmies, I'm excited to share some big news today! Although there have been some unexpected twists, it's all part of the incredible journey of gardening. I've just completed the harvest, a tad earlier than initially planned, due to finding a bit of mold in one of the buds. Despite this minor hiccup, the trichomes were already at a decent 10% to 15% amber. So, all things considered, the timing ended up being pretty spot-on. The harvested weight was a solid 609 grams after trimming, which is quite a feat! A lesson learned for next time: perhaps I let her grow a few too many buds, leading to a denser canopy than ideal. But on the bright side, the aroma is absolutely divine. I sampled an airy bud that had dried a bit, and wow, it packs a stronger punch than its clone mother. And the flavor? Pure, unadulterated cheese – no hint of pineapple here! Now, the anticipation builds for the final dry weight, which I should know in about 3-4 days.
