This week I added a new controller to handle up to 8 functions. I installed a new heater, my old humidifier and some LED strips to the controller. Targeting a VPD at 1.0 day and night. Trying to keep the nutrient ppm under 900 and ph at 6.0 in the reservoirs. Ordered a second ph pen because I don’t trust my readings. Will be here by Thursday. Friday: Checked the ppm in the reservoirs and it’s at 1,000. Added more RO water with extra nitrogen to bring the ppm level down to 925. Saturday: I installed an updated AC Infinity controller 69 Pro Plus (controls 8 pieces of equipment) which allowed me to add a humidifier, corner LEDs and a heater to the controller. Overall I’m extremely impressed with this AC Infinity equipment. My VPD is within the range I want to achieve (.8-1.1). I programmed it to maintain 78 degrees and 67% humidity during the day, 73 degrees and 63% humidity at night. Charts posted also show the impact of an open tent compared to the closed environment. The heater is constantly pushing fresh air into the tent, so I don’t need to cycle the exhaust fan often. Rewired the tent again and moved the controller later that night. I mounted the controller on the wall. Added Mars Hydro UV/IR lighting to fill out all 8 slots on the controller. Sunday: I checked the ph in the reservoirs (6.8….i had filled it with 6.0 ph) and the ppm (1200 ppm…I had filled it with 900). So evaporation and possibly a mismeasurement of ph. I topped ff reservoirs with slightly stronger nutes and adjusted ph to 5.8 in the reservoirs. Poor magnesium absorption could be driving some leaf yellowing. Effective tomorrow, I’m switching over to Heads Formula which consistently feeds GH Flora series nutes at Micro (6ml/g), Bloom (9ml/g) and cal mag (3ml/g). Turned on the UV/IR lights for 3 minutes every 8 hours. I’m easing the plants up to 5 minutes every 6 hours which will provide the recommended 20 minutes of IR per day. This will help the plants stretch a little more. Monday: checked ph and ppm in reservoirs. 6.1ph and 880ppm. VPD remains stable except when I open the tent. Tuesday: checked ph (6.4) and ppm (880) in reservoirs. Added .5ml of ph down to two reservoirs. Still see slight yellowing between the veins but it’s not getting worse (might be improving). Adjusting ph down to 6.0 target might have solved this. The plants grew by 1-2” last night…..is the infrared light working already? Decided to mix up fresh nutes for the reservoirs following Heads formula. 6ml Micro and 9ml Bloom per gallon of RO water. Added 5 ml of CalMag too. Ending ppm was 1080 which is too high, so I diluted down to 880 with RO water. 6.0 ph. Wednesday: plants grew another .75 inches last night. I topped above the 5th node. Thursday: added RO water with heavy cal mag to reservoirs to increase amount of CalMag available.

Did well with how cold it was this winter and I am in a major flareup since August and have done a poor job with taking care of them like I would have liked to.. Overall I want to grow this one again someday as I know I can do much better however I am very pleased with the outcome and Awesome line Seedsman😎

I did not now the weight of how much dry or wet flower I have because I decided to freeze right away all of the flower and after 24 hours in the fridge I created bubble hash unfortunately I only took pictures of the first batch total amount 58.6 grams of bubble hash of excellent quality despite treating this plant really badly it give me a very abundant flower With incredible density

8/5/23 - Day 54 - Last night, a successful water change took place. I've attached a picture of the bucket at the top for reference. While I currently perform manual water changes, I have plans to automate the process using the available hookups. Unfortunately, the unit was shipped quickly, leaving me no time to set up the automatic system before receiving the LEAF box. However, on my next grow, I'll ensure the drain and water inlet are properly connected. During this current grow, the bucket you see at the top is always connected to the drain as a precautionary measure. I can activate the draining process through the app, and after two cycles, all the water, including the water collected by the dehumidifier, is efficiently removed. Following the draining process, I fill the box with RO water, and from there, the LEAF box takes over and automatically dispenses the necessary nutrients. This automated system has made the whole process incredibly easy, eliminating any guesswork. I simply empty and fill the water; everything else is expertly handled by the LEAF box. The flowering stage is progressing exceptionally well. The plant has ceased growing upward, and the buds are now thriving and reaching new heights each day. I find myself eagerly looking into the box daily, excited to witness the changes, especially around 2 pm when I can observe the growth since the morning. It feels like Christmas morning every day! As always, I'll keep adding daily pictures to document the incredible journey. 8/9/23 - Day 58 - It's been a few days since I have posted. Thats because Shes growing bud like crazy. You can see the plant has focused on growing the buds because the plant has stopped stretching up and started swelling the buds. We have about 3-4 weeks until harvest. This has been the easiest grow of my life. Basically, I add some water to top it off and that's about it. Welcome to Day 8 things are going very well so far the plants are taking on a lot of height and mass for only one week's growth. Not a whole lot to talk about really early stages of growth really not much happens. I will say that I've transitioned to a completely Advanced Nutrients feeding system for this week Day 9 transplanted the girls into their final five gallon pots root development is extremely well for literally just over one week into veg Day 10 the girls have clearly recovered very well from transplant there are growing strong and healthy Welcome to day 14 last day of the week I decided to micro top as the ladies were ready. We were at the 4th node that's typically when I make her top at this point I'm not sure how many toppings I'm going to do but I don't want the plans becoming too large for the tent by doing too many tops

And apply the 3 recommend nutrients to be used for seedlings. La Calavera is the exact same formula as Voodoo Juice. How can this be you ask..(As it would be copyright), well it would be if it wasn't for the fact that these ppl, (Terra Power), are the ones who own and hold the pattens to voodoo juice, tarantula and Piranha, which made AN famous. They decided to break away and all the formulas they made for AN over the years they taken 90% of them and used modern day research with autos/ruderails in mind. Their base nutes alone will blow you away. Have a look at their claims. Led-grower.eu/terra-power/. As for the plant, new strain, new nutes, new whole entire set up with a 90% controlled environment, I say 90% cause I'm waiting to get the air exchange and AC installed in my grow room. Soon it'll be 100% be able to bring temp up as high as 28c and as low as 17c. Atm I can control RH. I can bring it up to 70 by just closing my door/tent windows and then by adding a damp towel and after a few days of the grow room door closed the RH will go up to 70+% and I'll only open the door every couple hours to swap out air until my air exchanger is installed. I can get the RH as low as 35% with a full tent 30 with 1 or 2 plants. So, hoping this time I can grow top A grade bud, as the last stuff was nice my 1st harvest was C grade weed. Was still half decent though. The others were B grade for sure. Hoping this time with the money I'm going to be putting in electricity it's goman be A grade. As I'll be looking at nearly 1kwh every 2hrs. That's 7e a day when the dehuimifier will be running when in flower. But as I'm vegging everything in a 70x70 with 1 light I'll get 4-5 wks for only having to pay 80cents a day. And I'll have great high RH. And as soon as some start to flower they'll be put in the 150x150 and I'll bring the RH in the room down but it'll still stay high in the 70x70 once I have the windows sealed up. If I can't get the RH below 45-55% for pre flower I'll have lots of room in the 150x150 to put the dehumidifier in and bring down the tents RH while keeping the Rooms RH high for the small tent. I'll just run the intake fan for the 150x150 from outside the grow room up in to the attic which the RH is 50% so air intake from the room will be too high for the big tent to use. 30/4/22 Veg started: first signs of life popped up today. Going to keep em on root stims and enzymes for now. Haven't fed since planted so will water with .1 300ppm today. All the EC comes from La Sirena. Makes Will just sit back for now and let em do their thing hopefully in 48hrs will have some leafs or shell pushing up. She's growing straight up. So for now, it's just watching for any signs, (such as browning of the stem, bent stems and any early on diseases if any will hamper the plants formation of her 1st 2 fan leafs. You wanna see them no later than 24-48hrs after she pops her head up out of the ground). 1/5/22 VD 2 really at to coming on. Went from .5 to nearly 3cm. 4/5/22 Growing really well. Her first 3 days she put on 7cm her 3rd she put on 4cm of them 7. She hasn't grown up today but her face has filled out, another 2 days I reckon before she splits. 6/5/22 So, it's begun. I've created a negative pressure environment, 1st time, let's see if it makes an impact. On wk 3 onwards I'll be running the intake extraction for 5mins every 30mins and I'll have 2 co2 bags up. If the RH becomes a problem or temp I'll put the extraction/intake back on 100% of the time. The extraction fan/intake is set at a ratio of 2 to 1. (100% extraction 50% intake) making a negative pressure environment, best way to show you have done this, the walls in your tent should bow in lightly Same Day. Okay, so this my last update. Going to run fans the same right up until flower and then I'll be sealing up my tent and adding 2 co2 bags. And will be adding a dehuimifier and setting at 45% And it checks every 30mins and if it's gone up it'll turn back on and bring down to 45 or set RH, so no co2 will escape. The temp will be bordering 30-33c and then when they go into their rest window they'll be transferred to to a negative pressure environment with low temps and 45-50%RH. I'll only be able to do this for the 3 weeks of pre flower. And maybe some more, it depends how hard the dehuimifier will be working, but i want dense buds and only way to improve that is by introducing Co2 and then a negative pressure cold environment for terps. Then I'll be putting them back into full negative pressure environment and the Co2 will be useless, again all depends how it's gonna affect my bottom line. That and I only have 2 intake fans. I'll be going into detail about my Co2 adventures the week before I'll be prepping them to be able to withstand high temps, so I'll gradually bring up the temps the last wk of veg 28c max and that way when I push it to 30-32c in pre flower she won't stress as much in the high temps as they'll be in a sealed tent for 18hrs in 30-32c I'll have the dehuimifier in the sealed tent and will be set at 45% And will keep it in that range for all of pre flower and then I'll put it back on to negative pressure environment 21c in the dark window and after all plants come out of pre flower Co2 will be left in the tent but will be useless without a sealed tent/grow room. Bubble og man these ladies loved being topped they were not growing the fastest before topping but after getting topped they have really been stretching out they very much have a scrog potential the branchs bend easily and have good distance between nodes to work with The day has come and it's time to flip these ladies to flower. I was planning on letting them go untill Friday and let the smaller ones grow just a bit more but they will be fine. I have the eternity cup contest in mind and I'm thinking timing so I need to get these lady done and out my tent lol. This past week I turned the light up alot getting them ready to flower they have grown a bunch inhavendone lst maybe 5 it 6 times on the branchs and they arw nit bendy anymore that will help durring flower.

She's doing great despite losing a whole branch. I feel growth slowed down a bit but I may be just paranoid. Soon she'll start her stretch. I hope she is tolerant to heat because I can't keep temperature below 30C. Adjusted her LST several times this week and the branches are in final position. She would start stretching soon. She's showing some calcium issues and my last plant almost didn't make it, so I gave her a decent dose cal-mag.

Unfortunate Week... Honey cream had a couple of "budrot" spots forming due to droplets of water dripping into the flower and not drying (99%humidity nights)... Thankfully those buds were cut down and she doesn't seem to be producing any more "budrot".. Apart from that, the smell is amazing on her. Power Flower is going nicely too, but seems to not have too much smell...

10 September Harvest - see pictures. While some growers leave the plant whole when they cut, I do not. It is a personal preference and situational convenience if your a home grower. I chose to cut large, long branches, and remove any whole water leaves, as long as it doesn’t interfere with the bud formation. I don’t trim yet. This is done for a few of reasons: 1) It’s my last good close-up look at her until another 5 days or more, 2) I don’t want wet leaves drying on my buds if I can help it, and 3) I occasionally like being able to shine a small LED flashlight on the flowers while its drying. Mold is our greatest problem as growers, it can destroy a beautiful grow right up until the end process. Then I hang it in a dark closet, provide circulation and ventilation. Light and heat, anything above 80 degrees F, will start a break down in cannabinoids during the dry, it is ideal to stay away from both. I’m fortunate that a humidity level of 50- 55% and temperature of 65-70 degrees F is fairly consistent and easy to maintain. Anything below 60 degree F will prevent the adequate drying out of chlorophyll. Almost all my flower routinely take 5-7 days, some a little longer, to properly dry out. 15 September Trim - see pictures. First you’ll notice the buds have shrunk up to half their original size. This is just a fact that we growers have to deal with. Due to evaporation without uptake of water, it takes about 3 days for the chlorophyll to dry up, then slowly go through a chemical change. Along with the leaves, cannabinoids also begin a chemical change after 3 days called decarboxylation. A slow process where the THC level increases while curing. You want the leaf to be dry so they can be hand trimmed easily, but you do not want that bud so dry that it starts to fall apart in your hand. Try to handle carefully by the main stem to avoid touching the bud all together. A lot of these cut leaves will be covered with trichomes, good for making oils, or other products, it’s an option worth looking into keeping it. After trimming, I do separate a few premium flowers for my first smoq. Then loosely fill wide mouth quart mason jars with about 1 oz/28 gr of product per jar. I seal the lids for a few hours to determine what relative humidity they are at, see hygrometer pic, before making a decision to put in a 62% humidity control pack of my choice or to wait, then place in secure in a cool dark place with stable humidity and temperature. It is very important to then observe/burp or exchange the air as needed, up to several times a day, until 62% rh is achieved. Once your close to to your mark, put in your desired RH level control terpene shield. If you have a problem getting there: 1) it has dried out too much, no real solution, try to put several large cut stems left over from harvest into the jars with the buds to try and increase humidty, 2) it has not dried out enough, in this case no problem, just remove and dry out a little more. This is also a personal choice, some people like it drier in the 50% plus range. Whatever you do, research and preserve. At that time burping is no longer required. Cannabis will reach its peak potency potential at about 40 or so days into the cure. The finished product should be a perfect grind when cured correctly without clogging up your grinder, this could take a month. Now that I’ve said that, I’m sure someone has grown something that they have not been able to grind. It can remain in this state for an easy 6 months with little change, locking in all the terpenes and potencies. All you need to do is occasionally check the product to ensure there are no molds. If your grow/harvest/cure techniques are good this should not be an issue. It would not be uncommon to find many cannabis strains will last, with small degradable change, for up to one year after being stored this way. Using an airtight glass container, controlled relative humidity, maintained low temperature, and kept in darkness will equal maximum shelf life. Always avoid direct sunlight and temperatures above 80 degrees F. The reasons I’ve ultimately chosen Deep Water Culture as a grow medium. Each has their own pros and cons indeed. I found the most efficient, less maintenance and ideal solution for my situation was DWC. Burdens to overcome depend on size up set-up; initial equipment cost, size of containers, ph monitors, air pumps, type of water to use-reverse osmosis, RO cost/set-up/maintenance, ways to transfer/change water and nutrients, what nutrients to use and schedules, takes several grows to learn and understand, a 1 year learning curv, easy to nutrient burn. The Benefits of growing in water; no dirt, no bugs, no diseases, rare nutrient deficiencies/toxicities, steady and rapid growth that enables the plant to reach its genetic potential. After harvest, there is about a 1 hour equipment cleanup, sterilization and turn around process before replanting. Cannabis will perform in so many different ways and mediums, no one way is the best and the best way is the one you are using, right. Chose what works for you in the long run. There will always be an initial cost in set-up. My advice if one were in need to cut corners, I would not recommend cheap lights. This single factor is the most critical, afford for the best. The notion that organic and water has a different taste, flavor and potency effect is absolutely debatable. The more we learn the better we grow and experience is always the best teacher. This is what works for me and my methods of growing in general from beginning to end. A BIG “Thank You” to everyone who stopped by to take a look.
