This week was an absolute scorcher with daytime temps in the low 30C, but we had no rain so I had to water more frequently. Seen a lovely burst of growth after last week's nutrients. Decided to bend and secure today to learn new technique. I'm fairly happy with the results. Think I might need to book up a scrog net worth all my girls after this training.

This lady looks absolutely, I have applied mainlin technique on this lady to avoid a height problems, now we're gonna try to get as many main colas as possible, let's see how this lady keeps developing!

Another slow week. I increased light schedule to 13/11. I’m going to slowly lower the time of light until by the time harvest day comes it’ll have a longer dark period. I’m also going to stop feeding the bottle nutrients my soil is moist still so I gotta wait. I’m predicting a couple ounces this grow.

Went ahead and supercropped as they were getting a little tall. It seemed to have gone mostly well as they have recovered quickly and there are many more bud sites than before. It’s still early in flower but the Pineapple Express 1 is already full of crystals. The rest are behind but looking good. They all seem to love their nutrients. This week I will try topping off with a nutrient mix just to keep the TDS from dropping like it did last week. The LUX is around 70K on the top of the canopy! The growth seems to have slowed. There are many bud-sites but I wonder how much this will yield if there isn’t much more vertical growth. Overall feels to be going in the right direction. Learning how to maximize in this space can be challenging!

So this week after I gave it under nutrients I apparently gave it too much nitrogen while having a potassium deficiency. Shiney dark leaves, So i fixed that, but some didn't bounce back, and I tried nitrogen. I think they are doing pretty good considering everything I've put them through SO FAR. lol. Nutrients are NPK Raw's total lineup, follow their instructions at first, Fastbuds adjustments as of this week.

Hello GD Crew!!! I’m glad to finally be back with a new diary. A LOT has happened since my last diary. The large room I was using back then got infested with spider mites. For a while I thought I had them beat, but they came back with a vengeance. So I thoroughly cleaned my 2x4 tent and set it up in the opposite side of the house. However, that part of the house is also now my new man cave and was under construction until a few months ago (its still not completely done yet, but close enough). I have also switched back to LED lighting. I’m using a pair of Spider Farmer SF1000’s (100w) LED’s. I was using a 315w CMH fixture but felt I was getting better results with my old blurple ViparSpectra’s (both of which have died). Also, it was getting too hot in the tent with the CMH. To be completely honest the best weed I’ve ever grown was using a 1000w HPS, but that could possible melt a 2x4 tent and I’d be tripping circuit breakers all the time again. After a lot of research it looked like the Spider Farmer SF1000’s were the best bang for the buck in the LED market these days. They have the right components (Samsung LM301B diodes and MeanWell drivers) and have great specs. I was able to purchase them on Amazon Prime Day for $129/each (USD). For soil I’m using Coast of Main Stonington Blend Grower’s Mix. I had been previously trying to amend and reuse old soil or mix old soil 50/50 with new soil and in retrospect that was a mistake. The PH was totally unpredictable as were what nutrients were available or deficient. I felt like I was always trying to fix soil problems and one thing would lead to another. So, from now on its fresh soil in every pot. I’m using 3 gallon pots with self watering reservoirs at the bottom. In addition to the Coast of Main Stonington Blend I’m also using Sungro Black Gold Seedling Mix. I filled the 3 gallon pots with the Coast of Main Stonington Blend first, then dig out a hole in the middle about the size of a grapefruit and filled that hole with the Sungro Black Gold Seedling Mix. Then I planted the seeds about knuckle deep in the middle of the Seedling Mix. This seemed to work great, both pots had small seedlings appear in 5 days. This diary will focus primarily on FastBuds BlackBerry, but I am also growing a DinaFem Critical+ Auto at the same time. I’ve grown both of these strains a few times in the past with mixed results. But, I’m hoping this grow will be far greater than those in the past. My plan is to allow the Coast of Main Stonington Blend act as the ‘super soil’ it is supposed to be and not add any additional nutrients. I will however be adding RealGrowers Recharge on a regular basis (I love that stuff, it really makes a difference) and will probably also add some CalMag once in a while. But that’s all. Additionally, I do not plan on doing much training with these girls. I will LST bend them over at a 45 degree angle around the time they hit their flowering stretch, but that’s all. Bending at a 45 degree angle gives better exposure to lower branches and allows those lower branches to produce larger tops. Hoping for the best!!! Please feel free to comment and follow. I've been pulling fan leaves this week . 1. To slow the top down . 2. To encourage side branch growth. 3. So they can remain in very small pots in a small space until I have space to let them grow properly.

Well she doubled her height this week. She is the smallest in the batch. If I'm honest I didn't expect her to make it this far. During germination I disturbed & agitated the box by knocking it 😡 this led to the very tip of the taproot being severed off but crucially this was below the 'hairs' that extend out horizontally. I took a gamble and planted her expecting it to be a mortal wound but mother nature again shows her resilience. Above all else I've learned that nature strives very hard to survive. It's kinda humbling really.........

There is so much to discuss ! I have been extremely busy as of late trying to get this Harvest together, but i am happy to have it here for you now ! I Seriously under estimated the amount of time, help from others, and my own necessary skills to pull this off.. and i still kind of screwed it up lol ! But its worth noting i have never actually done this before and trying to document it during....was extremely hard. It is next to impossible to work an iPhone with rubber gloves on ! First I want to discuss everything step by step so before you jump straight into the comments on how the end product is so small in "quantity" Rest assured i am happy with its"quality"...and thats all that matters to me because Life is a journey not a destination! and i have learned so much from this grow that I couldn't be any happy even if i messed some things up :) But at the very least I hope you read through this entry in its entirety with an open mind and focus more on the process, rather than just the outcome! I ran out of Ice & i was only able to wash three times..(normally I've heard you should go sometimes 5-6 washes) Preparation is Key & things will be much better next round :) Photos 1-22 These are pretty self explanatory but for those of you just tuning in now.. this is what happens to a very happy plant when you don't have the necessary tools to monitor key components of growing cannabis.. Ph, as well as EC levels play a very key role in the outcome of your grow lol that being said I was just able to save this plant by purchasing both tools but that doesn't mean the plant didn't suffer because of the prior events.. This was a Huge reason behind me choosing to turn this harvest into what i would consider "Solventless Hash Rosin" from "Ice water extracted Bubble hash". Pictures 23 The idea here is the process of using "fresh Frozen Cannabis" this has been discussed many a time online on such sites as instagram and here on grow diaries as well.. I personally have Never tried the process so i decided to try it out and make a judgement for myself.. Video 24 The Cannabis has now been in the freezer for 72 hours making it very well frozen.. as you can tell i struggled getting it all into the 25u Screen Wash Bag. One thing of note i would do differently is i will de-stem my next batch as i also believe this played a part in the amount of plant matter that escaped through the sieves. Photo/Video's 25-28 The idea here is "ice water Seiving" & especially with the bags that I am using here that are only have screen material on the bottom portion of the bag it is very important to have spaces in-between the screens to allow the water to pass directly through the screens into the bottom bucket with the least amount of resistance.. because the hash is so extremely temperature dependant if it gets warm on the side of the bag.. it will stick there and not make it to the bottom to become use able product.. 29 You do not need to use as much Ice as i used here lol... the idea is to keep everything very cold..i certainly achieved that but at the sacrifice of using so much that i ended up grinding product and producing "contaminants" but in the end they are just plant matter that i would be smoking when i rolled up my joint either way so.. I'm not super disappointed.. But it should be noted that what you want to achieve here is a Layering effect where you have the wash bag between two small layers of ice while the "water current" washes the Trichomes away allowing them to be separated by the screens setup below :) Before Starting the machine you should allow some time (i.e.;10-12minutes pre soak to allow the product to become saturated) before the first cycle. By video 32 I have just ran out of ice lol.. Video 33-34 Here I have a tip for you.. to separate the screens that you sieve through.. cut 5 gallon buckets to stretch them across nice and tight.. it'll make scooping your Bubble that much easier ! i learned this from the many "Frenchy" videos I have watched :) Picture 35 Here in lays the problem for most people.. drying your hash without loosing vast amounts of "Terpenes" whilst also stay ever vigilant against mold ! Thanks to all those videos I've watched on youtube.. id like to think this was one of my most successful parts of this process.. Things to Note; Terpenes start to seriously evaporate at temperatures 68F or 20C you need to stay as cold as possible whilst bringing the Relative Humidity in the space down into the 40-30% to stay away from that nasty mold ! I used my cold storage room in the basement.. with a dehumidifier running to keep the space at 45% RH & staying at a constant 15c. All while spreading the hash as thin as possible across parchment paper, on top of the white screens with a fan moving air across both sides of the paper. Pictures 36-38 These are some macros i took in the middle of my drying session I fell in love with the colour. Yes i know the black spots are plant material but they will get caught when i bag the hash & squish the oil out. Thing to Note; at this stage it is important to ensure you 'micro plane" the hash down as fine as you can whilst staying weary of the temperature... any "chunks" will hold pockets of moisture.. that lead to potential problems..ie; mold ... Picture/Video 39-41 Successfully planed bubble hash ready to be bagged and Squished ! Picture 42 Ive decided to follow Pedro.. from Pedros Grow Room and double bag to be on the safe side so i don't have any blow outs. So thats One 25u bag inside one 160u bag ! :) Pictures 43 This is almost 3 grams of the bubble hash from above, already melting in the bag.. this is where i ran into trouble again lol things started getting to warm in the house and i was only able to get one of the three squish's i did on video :( things started getting sticky. Picture 44 This is basically just a photo of the equipment I'm using; 3x5 LowTemp Cage in the frame I built myself, with a 20Ton bottle jack. Something to note here is this is an older Lowtemp model with only a single heating zone which is which i have it closed here heating Both sides of the press :) As well as the importance of having adequate pressure on your plates.. my rig is very overkill for the size of hash bags..lol Video 45 Here is the lovely press video.. its didn't quite work the way i wanted either lol my directional folding wasn't quite tight enough for a big "drip" :) &the Press was set to 65°c Photo's 46-50 are pretty self explanatory :) I had a blow out.. but still managed to pull an 80% return from the hash once squished...& yes it tasted amazing :) Was it worth it in the end... that could be debated.. for some..i understand..its not your thing, but for those of us that are interested in making our own concentrates.. free from Solvents... I wouldn't make it any other way :) If even ONE of you reading this diary finds it helpful to reference for ANYTHING.....even if its "what not to do" ill consider it a success ! Day 14 flower Hey Growers So day 14 of flower, I decided to defoliate as the tent was getting so overgrown. They are drying out quickly and the media is dense with roots. They are going to require daily watering very shortly. They seem quite happy and doing well. You can see in one of the pictures, the leaf edge is raised, which idk exactly what that is. I’ve decreased the light to 70% until I know how they’ll react. Other than that just put in the trellis to support the tops. Happy Growing 🌱

April 22nd No changes to nut's, temp, or humidity, but we did have to raise the lights with the growth. I may have mixed up a couple of my Green Crack grow's images but I did the exact same with both grows with amazing results both times, so if you see three then four plants it is due to my well intentioned intent to post each of these as I did them but forgot. LOL

Scrog Netz in das Zelt gehängt damit mehr Licht an die unteren buds kommt. Organische pflanzen Neigen sich dem Ende zu. Die mineralische Auto euforia braucht noch aber bildet mittlerweile die buds. Aktuell 8 l/Tag mit 2g/l Hackaphos rot gegossen. Zusätzlich noch gut unten rum entlaubt da viel vertrocknet war und eh kein Licht hin kam.

everything is going very well, the girls have developed, we have found a hermaphrodite, what a surprise my colleague got when he found one with eggs, what a scare! I saw a video of a Mexican whose technique consists of breaking the male balls and letting the flower clean and do it every day as soon as new shoots come out, there comes a time when they no longer grow and only the female hairs follow, I will see that That's how it goes, if I can, when I visit the indoor, a photo of the hermaphrodite will be taken, only one of the girls, I don't know if she got stressed or what happened, the others continue to flower normally, big beautiful females, I'm amazed, how many showed my first crop, I see it great what do you think friends

Ende Woche 7. Ich habe die Gute ordentlich entlaubt, mini Buds entfernt und alles so hingebogen, dass es gut Licht bekommt. An Tag 48 gab es 2,5 g Pflanzengeflüster (Harpin-Protein) auf 1 L Wasser als Wurzeltränke, da ich so weit in der Blüte nichts mehr sprühen möchte, obwohl Harpin über Blattdüngung viel besser wirkt. Beim ursprünglichen Mix der Erde hatte ich einen Denkfehler bei der Düngermenge, daher wurden die fehlenden 200 g jetzt noch oben aufs Substrat gegeben und dann mit frischer Erde abgedeckt.

Slight nutrient burn on the super silver haze and the banana. I have backed them up in feed from 10ml per gallon back to 8, it seems to have done the trick the last couple days. Both banana and super silver haze are trucking along quite well I think otherwise. I have officially decided to start my flushing on the black domina x Scott's og, trichomes are about half milky half clear, not sure if I should be doing a full flush or continue feeding through week 7 and start flush on week 8 I'm not overly sure lol see how it goes anyway. This quite possibly may be the best diary I have ever ran. It's most likely my personal best autoflower. It's not big from a yield perspective but I think I reached max potency. Sometimes when you really hit what a strain wants the results can be amazing. The colors on this lady are absolutely beautiful. Like fall colors in the Adirondacks!!!!! This time of year our leaves outside are loaded with anthocyanins & carotene & xanthophyll the same chemicals that cause our wonderful buds to get thier colors & hues. I know these 3 chemicals very well because I am an arborist & care for trees as a career. I hope you enjoy this very special diary & check back next week to see just how fast she finishes up!
