This week, I decided to take her structure to the next level by topping a few branches, and let me tell you—she’s loving it. 🌿 The growth is vigorous, and she’s shaping up beautifully to maximize her potential for flowering. Let’s dive into what went down this week and why it’s all so important for her journey. Branch Topping: Building a Strong Framework After recovering beautifully from her initial topping at node 7, it was time to refine her structure further by topping a few branches. For each branch, I left two nodes to ensure strong, healthy growth while encouraging a bushier canopy. Why Top Branches? Topping isn’t just for the main stem—it’s an essential technique for creating an even canopy and increasing yield potential: 1. Encourages Lateral Growth: By removing the top of a branch, the plant redirects its energy into the remaining nodes, encouraging side shoots to grow and fill out. 2. Maximizes Light Penetration: A bushier plant with more branches ensures that all parts of the plant get access to light, reducing shading and improving photosynthesis. 3. Improves Structure: A strong, evenly distributed framework sets the stage for a healthier plant that can support larger buds during flowering. The decision to leave two nodes per topped branch ensures a balance between promoting growth and avoiding unnecessary stress. Tent Conditions: Consistency is Key The room conditions this week have remained steady and perfect for her vegetative stage: • Temperature: Around 18°C—cool but manageable, keeping her growth steady. • Humidity: At 60%, maintaining just the right level to support her root zone and foliage. • Lighting: The Future of Grow (FOG) LED at 200 PPFD continues to provide optimal light for compact, strong growth. i will dim it up soon! These consistent conditions give her the environment she needs to recover quickly from topping and focus on building her structure. Nutrient Routine: Trusting the Pellets This week, I’ve continued with the Aptus Holland All-in-One Pellets as the primary nutrient source. They’re working their magic, providing a steady release of nutrients to support her vigorous growth. As a backup plan, I’m always ready to reintroduce All-in-One Liquid if she starts showing signs of needing more immediate nutrition. Always cool to see what old school strains are all about. If there’s something experience has taught me is that classics are classics for a reason, and that’s the theme of this cycle. The germination was exceptionally fast, followed by the development of a thick stalk and huge broad leafs, this Gorilla surely started strong. Humidity and temperature kept fairly high throughout the week (70%/ 24°C), with regular misting, which they love! So far so good, feels like a happy and healthy seedling. Let’s see what she’s got 💪🌱

Been soo busy, these girls are just doing their thing. Some are a lil pissed from the fans but they need the airflow. Better than mold. 10 are thirsty AF, 2 are not. I have gone through 48 gallons of water since last friday! Crazy!

start of week 4 i added epsonsalt last week to stop the magnesium problem

All the plants are doing well. Banana #1 is definitely ahead of the others in her flower but the other two are coming along these are all taken on day 48. They are averaging a growth of 2 cm a day in growth. We have changed them the last two weeks to 18/6 lighting and it seems to be helping them in general. The last two watering they received no food as we felt we had been giving them too much nutrients and wanted to give them a wee break. They will be fed tomorrow. Still not sure what the yellow spots on the leaves are but I think it’s something to do with the nutrients they received, I had thought it was lack of Cal/Mag but no one else thought so. They have never been given Cal/Mag before.

Tent on cruise control this week with one pheno showng fading. Pheno #3 has started to finish before the others so I started flush on 2 of the girls this week. I will continue to feed the other 3 on the 70 day schedule unless something changes. Not overly impressed with bud development of this cross. I think terps and frost is there though. I do have some cuts of pheno #3 and #1 that I plan on running one more time before letting go.

Mimosa is putting on some serious weight, extremely vigorous. so far i’m feeding it twice a week with a teaspoon of Biocity bloom and nova bloom and a half teaspoon of biocity silica

Day 44, 2nd of November 2021: Hi there. So the plants had 2 days of darkness before the lamp was on again and from today it is 12/12. Big change also is the power: It is now on full power which is 240W so 100% capacity. Ventilation is different as well under the 12 hours period when the lamp is on it switches 1 hours on and after one hour off mostly to keep the temperature and of course because of fresh air flow. When the lamp is off it switches on in every 2 hours for 15 min at the same time with the extraction fan. The extraction fan is on 12 hours when the lamp is, and then it switches on in every 2 hours for 30 min. That's all a bit more water for them from today also. Humidity quite the same, temperature as well. Fertilization changed, the BioBizz family raised up to be 2ml/L each so it is like 2ml/L of BioGrow, 2ml/L of BioBloom, 2ml/L of TopMax... see the ratio above. Previously it was just 1ml per liter each. The schedule of the fertilization has not changed happnes 2x a week except epsom salt just 1x a week. Not much to mention as it just started.

Le infiorescenze iniziano a ingrandirsi, il profumo anche, meravigliose.

Day 92 - Starting week 14 and this is by far the longest any strain I’ve grown has gone and I’m hoping she’ll be ready by the end of week 15. Debating on if I should start the nutes back up but not sure if that’ll do anything for her. Day 93 - Nothing much to update today but she will be needing some water tomorrow. All the leaves are being sucked dry but just don’t see the pistils starting to die off yet, all are still bright white. Gonna check the trichs tomorrow before feeding and maybe trichs will show she’s almost done. Worried I started flushing too soon. Day 94 - Gave her another 2 gallons of water pH’d to 6.6 today. Other than that I just removed quite a bit of leaves but still haven’t done a heavy defoliation yet. I’ll probably take care of that tomorrow since most of them are yellowed up now. A lot of milky trichs in there but still a ton of clear so still has some time left. Day 95 - Nothing much new today, just monitoring her trichs even though she still has a ton of white pistils. She does have quite a few milky but most clear overall. Day 96 - Nothing new to report today. All is looking good, just not sure when she’s gonna finish up. Not seeing any signs of the pistils dying off so gonna keep letting her go but still only giving her plain pH’d water. Day 97 - She still seems to be going strong. Gave her two gallons of pH’d water today. Really hoping I start seeing the pistils shrivel up soon. There’s a lot more milky trichs but still quite a bit of clear. Hoping she’ll be finishing up in the next two weeks. Day 98 - End of week 14 and still going strong. Nothing much I can say right now but I’m gonna keep giving her water until she finishes up. Looks like some of her pistils might finally be starting to shrivel up so may have two weeks left.

Didn’t get too many pictures this time but they’re really starting to pack on resin now. They smell so good. Everything is going smoothly. Just gave them a flush with some SLF and Herculean Harvest. Runoff is already pretty significantly low. They’ll be getting the same flush again in a few days and then plain PH balanced water until they get chopped down. Planning on them fading super hard from this point on. All the buds are super dense. Can’t wait to try some sooner than later.

Very very short plant. She flowers very quick on you. Second time running this specific strain and she always does something different.
