Had some crazy root growth this week and have put the girls in their final 11L pots already. They became rootbound in their last pots within 5 days of being potted up and started showing rootbound behaviour such as spots on leaves and droopy behaviour, also soil was drying out super fast. At first I was panicking about leaf septoria, had that before :/. Only when i checked the roots that I confirmed it was cos they were rootbound. I'm hoping this isn't an issue within the grow bags. I've never really played around with potting up before as mainly grown autos until now. Topped the girls a few days ago and have done some LST today to spread them ready for the scrog. On August 19th I decide to apply supercroping technique to get much more sunlight penetration in the whole canopy, let's see how she turns out, she's pretty big to be planted late in the season,looks fenomenal and very healthy,I also applied a defoliation now that we are in second week to get that the light gets to every single flower site. 🌸💚❤️💛

As you can see, our macro lens arrived, we were able to take several photos and see the trichomes, we had never seen them so close before. We also noticed that many pistils have turned brown in the last days of this week but the trichomes are clear yet. The smell is getting stronger, reminds us of fresh fruits, mango and a little citrus. We are excited, she is healthy and smells good, but a little concerned with the development of buds and if they are within the standards for this week. Despite having many trichomes and the pistils turning brown, we are not noticing a significant fattening of the flowers (correct us if we are wrong). hahaha, noob stuff =)

Primeras comprobaciones de temperatura y humedad con el humidificador al mínimo, como puede verse en la foto del dia antes, dia 15, apenas no ha cosumido nada de agua por lo que aumentaremos el caudal y tiempo en el temporizador analógico. Así aumentaremos también un poco más la humedad sin tantos altos y bajos Pasados unos 5 dias volví a podar dejando únicamente un nudo por planta y un doblado de ramitas. This is because the leaves gets hotter as i increase the light's power output. The Gorilla Kush #2 and the Chemdog #2 are showing some heat stress. Installed a valve on the autopot from the Kush #2. Day 64: I've been on vacation for four days now. However, I was able to keep an eye on everything remotely using the spiderfarmer app. They look great. The Pink Cookies and the Purple Kush have grown quite a bit taller. The buds have generally grown larger and the first frost is visible. I watered all the plants with 2 liters of water mixed with fertilizer and Cal Mag. More shoots have also woven into the web. Day 65: Not much has changed since yesterday. The plants look healthy and happy. I lowered the light by 10 cm. I hung the fan over the lamp and set it to a faster speed. The flowers look beautiful. Since the Pink Gelato is growing taller now, I had to adjust the humidifier a bit. What varieties are you currently growing? Day 66: The girls are doing well! Today I defoliated the plants again. I decided to remove some of the leaves so that the top buds would grow nicely and I'd have as few popcorn buds as possible. I hope it wasn't too much. I also watered all three plants with 2 liters of water mixed with Hesi-Bio-Bloom and Cal Mag. Unfortunately, it's still quite warm in the tent. Do you have any ideas how I can get the temperature down? Day 67: Everything's still going well. They've taken the defoliation well so far and look healthy. Day 68: Today I gave them another 2 liters of water with fertilizer and cal mag. They look beautiful and have another 5-6 weeks to develop the flowers! Day 69: Today, all three girls received 2 liters of water with fertilizer and Cal Mag. I also raised the Purple Kush and created a raised area underneath it. I also increased the humidity to counteract the heat. Day 70: Today, all three girls were given 2 liters of water with fertilizer and CalMag. Otherwise, not much has happened. The buds are getting bigger and bigger. Unfortunately, it's still too hot in the tent—I hope it cools down soon!

I loved growing this strain, she was very easy to train and quick to flower/finish. Not to mention she yielded pretty damn good if I might say so! I gave her a nice veg to get a good mainline going so I could have an even canopy and I'm sure that contributed to her having such anl nice harvest. Hope she smokes as good as she looks!

So she was chopped (wet trimmed) yesterday (F74) and is now hanging up to dry at 55% RH and temps between 15 and 18ºc. I made fresh frozen dry ice hash today using a 160 micron bubble bag, a flat surface, 8kg of dry ice and a couple 5 gal buckets. I already have the weights for that, which far exceeded my expectations. Those figures I will post once she is dried and in 1 quart screw top glass jars. People suppose dry ice hash is inferior quality vs bubble hash. I am not experienced enough to comment on that but must say it is extremely easy to make hash with dry ice, it took 40 mins to process 995g of trim which included sugar leaves, some stems and popcorn buds. I then pressed it into 3.5g briquettes for storage using a pollen press. As you can see from videos, this stuff is all blonde - and after already trying some today with some friends, it knocked our boots off! Will be back in 5-7 days with harvest figures, smoke analysis and other details! Happy growing all! She’s growing fast. Wasn’t sure the hydro was going to work in this setup but it has really taken off. Not much to say about vegging. Check back next week!

Harvest: Everything dried up to 347 grams + 96 grams of super high quality trim. Overall I am not too pleased with the smoke of the product. Although the bud size, bag appeal, smell and taste are pretty much all there, the shitty burn is a deal breaker for me and the majority of this weed is quite frankly useless. Another downside is while smoking I’ve found 4 seeds in an ounce from almost every strain. Light leaks? At least I learned a ton, including how to get super good burn for my next crop. I’m hoping that curing for a month or so will improve the burn but I wouldn’t really count on it. I have seen weed dried for 4 days with no cure and no flush smoke clean and not go out once. I have been told that the key to white ashes/clean burn is proper mineral content in the soil and there is tons of scientific studies on cigar ash going back 100 years. Plants grown in a medium with high levels of decomposing organic matter, phosphorus, magnesium, chlorine and heavy metal ratio tend to produce black/grey ash. Whereas plants grown in a medium with a higher ratio of trace minerals like calcium carbonate and potassium in the form of wood ash, rock dusts, oyster shell flour and lower levels of decomposing organic matter will produce a dense, uniform white ash that rarely goes out. But this is still all theory until I test it to confirm for myself a few times. My last few outdoor harvests did not improve with curing at all so I’m hoping this will be the missing link. Plain peat moss and coco clearly lack essential minerals that help burn. If said theory is correct I should find a synthetic nutrient line with more trace minerals. Makes me wonder if growing if rockwool/basalt rock could improve burn in a hydro setup. I think I did a fairly decent job for my first grow. I went wrong in a million different places but I still stuck it out and got some decent herb. Things went wrong early when I got black spot mold, nitrogen/magnesium deficiencies and powdery mildew. I corrected most of it but things didn’t get really bad until mid veg when I intentionally skipped a few feedings and defoliated quite heavily stunting the plants. I also didn’t even top or start LST until the 6-9th node which was really stupid and hurt my yield. My temperatures were all over the place from the learning curve. I was severely overwatering without realizing it. 100% peat moss is a shitty medium. I also fed way too late in flower (not what caused shitty burn). I also used synthetic nutrients in soil. Esta semana he seguido regando con agua hasta el corte, no he dejado que las hojas se pongan más amarillas porque los tricomas habían llegado al punto de madurez que más me gusta. Se nota que cyco tiene productos muy buenos por el simple echo de que después de dos semanas de agua siguen bastante verdes. Actualizo la semana como semana de floracion simplemente porque no tomo pesos en húmedo, después de un par de días colgadas pasaré a manicurarlas, y para cuando seque subiré pesos. Creía que sacaría flores extrañas por el calor, o que tendría algún problema más serio a la hora de cultivar en esta época,todavía falta secarla bien, pero a simple vista creo que me acerco al peso de la anterior cosecha, ojalá. Last attempt I use reused soil, which is why this diary is called redemption runtz .. i just gave a very minimal feeding and only went around the edge of the pot so the roots have to go searching.. Week 5 – Beast Mode & The Big Flip! This week I set up a timelapse to capture just how vigorous these ladies really are — and it didn’t disappoint! 🌱 The tallest Lemon Cherry Runtz even surpassed the Papaytons, though to be fair she’s sitting right in the sweet spot in the center of the tent. I also bumped up the light a bit, and the response was instant. Big thanks to SANlight, AC Infinity, and Autopots for keeping this jungle happy. Some of the girls figured out that there’s basically an endless water source waiting under their pots, and in search of it they threw down insane root systems. You can tell they went into full-on beast mode. This time I’ve been home for almost a month straight, so I could keep a daily eye on the propagation tent. It paid off: the first clones of all four strains rooted within 6–10 days! They’ll be kept safe until we find out which phenos are the real winners. Before flipping them to 12/12 on 19.08, I pulled each cultivar out, gave them a clean topping, and prepped them for flower. Since they were so big already, I skipped cloning the tops and went for side branches instead — they root faster, which is crucial in summer when cloning isn’t the easiest game in my setup.-äpl-.lp0üß0 Meanwhile, the moms I sent to the flower tent are already flashing their first pistils — can’t wait to show you how those develop. The rest will have to stay in the 4x3 for now until the flower run is done in 3–4 weeks, so I went hard on them: lollipopped, defoliated, topped — the works.
