Week 8 12/22-29: Getting close to chop day.. planning to start the “flush” soon.. Trichomes looking cloudyyyy

This was a beautiful week. Massive THC production my trichromes are covering the white widow plant in crystals. Its an icy plant with its sunscreen on. Looking absolutely gorgeous. I finished defoliation. Removed most all of the fan leaves so the plants can focus on bud production and amp up those clusters. The blueberry plant is starting to fruit up as well. It will end up going an extra week so its production is right on point. The white widow plant is just some crazy good genetics. Of my 7 new nursery plants the two white widows that I have are head and shoulders above the rest of the plants. I am excited to see what the 12/12 from seed does for them with our new super soil setup. The plants have received their full doses of flower food and flower finisher. They are going to ride out the week on just water because they started to burn with the influx of the flower finisher. It seems to absorb more potently than the regular flower food does. I will does the plants some of the flower finisher food about halfway through the next week so as not to burn the plants. After that we will flush the soil with just water for the remainder of the grow so as not to have any extra nutrients flooding the plant before harvest.

I continue to struggle with humidity. Most of the time it’s above 30% but sometimes can drop as low as 16. I had many fan leaves die off this week. I trimmed them off. I will be patient as she ripens.

This weeks update! Grow tent- so I had a buddy do my res change I talked him through the whole process couldn’t make it to the grow this week. Number and everything where perfect but!. He didn’t close the valve all the way to the blue dream res tank and left the drain pump on🤦‍♂️🏾. So when I got there this week leaves where curling and brown thought it might be a nutrient issue. Opened the res to check it. And there was only about a gallon of water in there out of the usual seven. No major harm I was planning on doing my last defoliation to her this week anyway. But that could have been bad. They are both receiving half strength nutes of the ripening mix GH recommends. Would have been a perfect week if not for that. No harm no foul tho. But def bout to start pushing them on the flower nutes and get back up to my 1000 ppm range buy adding extra bloom formula! #Staykited

Desde el momento uno fue fácil de cultivar, no tuve ningún problema en todo su desarrolló. Como planta supero todas mis expectativas, se encuentran densos y muy pegajosos los cocos. En algunos hay partes de color violeta/lila. Y por ultimo recomiendo mucho cultivar esta genética por lo sencillo que fue cultivarla y sus resultados finales, todo de diez.

Another week done, finished up week 6 of flowering, week 10 of the whole grow. The buds are continuing to fatten up, inching closer and closer to harvest. Noticed the first few Amber tricombs on some of the upper buds, going to be leaning off the big bud and switching to overdrive to help aid in ripening and the final bulk. I’d like the run them another 4 weeks giving them a full 9-10 weeks in flower. But will judge harvest on a near 45/55 or 50/50, Cloudy/amber tricomb production.

So in the last couple of weeks I tried to make the night time temperature go down enough for them to turn color and they did - the sugar leaves turned a deep bluish green, really nice coloring! I harvested over a 2-day period. Day 1 I hand-plucked the sugar leaves off plants # 1, 2, & 3. Day 2 I hand-plucked plants 4 & 5, trimmed all of them and cut them down whole. I hung them to dry in my closet/former grow room with a boot tray of water with a towel for evaporation. My last grow was a disappointment in the end due to me not realizing how dry it is in the house (here in the living room it's 19% RH due to it being January in Canada and the hot water heating radiators are going full time). When they were dry enough, I did the final trimming, removing all the waste and dividing the buds into 2 classes: Top tier which are the nice tops of the big colas, and 2nd tier, which are the rest. I think I'll learn to make hash with the 223 grams of wet sugar leaves. I'll be adding more to this final entry in the coming days - this has been really tiring! Final numbers for 5 ShishkaBerry plants: Top tier buds (dried not cured) 372g 2nd tier buds (dried not cured) 150g Hand plucked sugar leaves (wet) 223g Waste (Sticks, stems, burnt leaf tips) 128g I'm basing my comments on the taste by the glove-hash I smoked - wow it's really good! UPDATE 1: Today I might have made some tincture or something, not sure. I slow-roasted the dried but not cured previously hand plucked sugar leaves and crumbled them up and put them in a mason jar (51 grams 100% dry weight) and added a little bottle of Absolut Vodka (375 ml). I shook the mixture vigorously for a couple of minutes then placed it in a cool area of the house to sit for a few weeks before a first test - not totally sure what I'm doing here). UPDATE 2: Possibly made Rick Simpson Oil (RSO) out of the Alsolut vodka - ShishkaBerry mixture: I strained it so that there was no plant material, reduced it in a double boiler style, not sure what to do with the gooey stuff that's left as a result.

Dear Me, I had a Growers Nightmare, An Equipment failure around 21th of Jan,24. My 3X3 Mars Hydro Kit is IMPORTED from United States. it comes with a pretty powerful grow light FC-E3000. But Unfortunately it broke only after 1 weeks of usage. The Rotating knob stopped responding to dimming function. The push button only turns lights OFF/ON. And without having the ability to control the Light intensity I was left with nothing but 100% light, 400+ PPFD and 25+ degree Temp in my Grow Tent. Hence I Disconnected the Two of the Centre Light bars and Increased the Height to maximum at about 1.3 Feet from plants. This at times was showing between 230-300 PPFD but it now it's back at showing 400 here and there. At the very least the tent temperature is 23-24. I Contacted Mars Hydro notified that I'm in different Country and that I'm helpless and I can't basically send you the Unit for a replacement since I'd killing my plants at that point so please either 1) sell me a new controller stand alone unit to my country. I'll pay upfront. or 2) send me new unit and I'll send back as soon as fresh unit arrives and I swap the malfunction unit. I'll bear shipping cost upfront for both ways. But it's been like 3-4 days no conclusion we're still figuring out and yet to get to any conclusion. Hence I ended up placing order for a AC infinity 6 inch exhaust fan which comes with AC infinity 69 Pro controller( a separate unit that can connect to Mars hydro Grow Lights using RJ45 Cable Type B Connecter). It's cool how just one thing can add a whole Semi-Automation to Grow Tent Environment. Not gonna lie I did thought at this point that I had in fact made my tent buying decision in a jiffy without looking at all the other options. I hope Mars Hydro Fixes it provided that I had invested my faith in them with my money at around 1200 usd( Tent cost about 600 USD + about 600 in Shipping and import fee). Plants are already on a Light Feed Schedule with a 3 Part series by General Hydroponics. 1st Week Nutrients Diet Per Gal Water 2ml CalMag 1 ml micro 1 ml Grow 0.5 ml Bloom Ph-6.1 TDS - 277 UPDATE : 4 February : - I learned First week starts "After" the Cotyledons when first true leaves show up. Which means I've been actually in my first week only. Putting an end to my anxiety over my current plant sizes. Also, Mars Hydro replied with a humble gesture and decided to replace the dimmer at no Additional cost, They told me I could keep the faulty unit which means I don't need to spend money on returning it. and they're directly shipping to my country without any extra fee (a cherry on top). I'm yet to get the tracking but it should arrive at the very least sometime before I hit the Flowering. My first week plants look somewhat healthy despite a little light stress in the early stage. Although the Plants heights not been upto the desirable min. so far which is mostly because light was throwing too much ppfd in the early stages. Week 4 in the books. She started throwing pistils this week. Cruising along and handling the training like a champ. She's drinking about a cup of water daily and her roots are thriving in the runoff caught in the 2nd cup, which gets dumped before each new watering. Strong structure and starting to get a little smell. She smelled like celery leaves up to this point. I've raised her closer to the light to increase light intensity.

She had her issues and is not a big yielder. But she makes up for it in beauty and aroma! Basically I'm taking this as new hobby. I don't smoke but since I was 16 that I wanted to embrace a grow project. 18 years later, decided to get my hands to the work, bearing in mind that it should be as simple as possible. Ordered 3 easy bud seeds, germinated all 3, only 2 survived on the soil, mostly because of my technique. For me, it's all about learning so I did some experiences. 3 different soils, 3 different planting techniques and this is the result so far. The one that died, was due muddy soil, so she drown. No oxygen. Started this project with a simple indoor greenhouse, 160x40x60cm size, 2 daylight lamps 11 watts, 6300 kelvin and roughly 700 lumen each, 1 usb cooling fan. Distance from the lamps to the seeds +20 centimetres, which you can see on day 3, we had a lot of stretching (video). Nevertheless, started to see some life!!! Decided to take the project more seriously. We are now on the day 4, with a new setup. Adequate soil, carefully buried both plants in bigger vases and new lights. 4 cfl lamps, 1297 lumen, 97 watts and 6300 kelvin. I was about to buy the cfl pure light lamp 125 watts but found these cfl's at leroy merlin. I wanted to keep this low budget/experimental project as much as possible, therefore after doing some calculations I found that with these 4 lamps I would roughly get the same lumens and watts I would get with the pure light lamp. This one is definitely taking her time but its looking like the end product will be worth the wait, im getting an almost lemony aroma from the tent now. Edit: 5 days on I've just started the flush since trichs are turning cloudy.

Hi Growmies , I am going to journal thisblady as she is my 1st ever self made seed I have grown. I have dropped bagseed into cups and watched them sprout thenblet them keep over and die off in the past but never an actual Cross i produced. Her father is from a previous grow here , Barneys Farm Blue Gelato 41 who threw out some pollen at 3 weeks flowering and also gave some perfect seeds and pods at 3 weeks flower !!!! Very odd but didnt hermie the whole plant but the pollen hit the lowers of the other 8 strains so I have some very promising cross seeds that look very striped and chubby. This cross is Him and a Barneys Gorilla Skittelz Mother who only dropped about 20bseeds all together. I managed to seperate around 8 more of this batch and here we have #1. There is another cross growingnwithba friend that is killing it so I am hopeful now. So far she has been topped at her 5th and stripped her #1 node only. I plan to 6 way her mains and thicken them with tip spreading . I lived the mother strain for her dense buds and the gelato was going beautiful till I culled her for the pollen worries. The very early harvest( 4 week flowering) had me gutted and shockingly the smokable buds from it had a hit to them that was way better than their age should have had them at. I do think the crosses will be a great combo

I’m almost over the finish line with my first grow. From now, she’s on plain water ph 6.5. I’m paying closer attention to the trichomes, she’s very frosty but no sight of any ambers yet. The smell of the fullgas has changed to a lovely sweet candy . So Looking forward to smoking this guys.
