Fo' Twenny Back with another update on our "Grandaddy Purple" from Blimburn Seeds! 8/24: I did some selective defoliation to help increase light penetration. Next watering will be a flush with 2 tsp/gal of Fox Farm's flush agent SledgeHammer. A flush is recommended after week 3 in the Fox Farm Feeding chart. I figure the recommended flush will do some good considering I have a lot of coco in the mix and there are small amounts of salt fertilizer in my schedule. She is really starting to do some stretching and she has an abundance of growing shoots. She has a few leaves that look textured or "crinkled". I tried doing some searches and not sure if this is due to a virus or some other factor. She is center in the tent and the only plant being grown in a fabric pot. She has also been vegging longer than any of the other plants in the garden. She was a survivor from previous run when I almost killed all my plants (did kill one) trying to kill so spider mites. This is the only plant presenting these abnormalities. I gave a lot of detail about the abnormal leaves because I am hoping someone may be able to help me troubleshoot. 8/28: Flushed the medium with tap H2O run through 2 KDF filters with 2 tsp/gal of Fox Farm Sledgehammer flushing agent and pH adjusted to 6.2. I started by giving 5 gallons. After checking the PPM of the runoff I ended up adding 5 more gallons mixed to same specifications. 10 gallons total was shared by 3 large flowering photoperiod cultivars and 1 smaller autoflower. She probably ended up with about 3 gallons give or take. I didn't measure how much each plant received. I just kept flushing each and checking runoff until it was under 1600 ppm. This week I started feeding my plant with an ec between 0.6-0.8. I also lowered my lamp so they get more light and I topped the plants and started lst.

Harvesting a little earlier than when i would like, because of the rise of bugs that appeared last days due to climate conditions... this year temperatures are oscillating more than usual having 1 rainy week, then a sunny hot one just after it rains.. In fact, last year, it did not rain until November So the plagues were on the leaves, mildew powdery(just a coulpe of leaves),aphids(like just in the leaves of one cola), and some caterpillars almost ready to get out and start eating all the buds, (hopefully i cut that day).. Sounds bad, but the parts of the plant affected was only the leaves... and means that a proper cleaning is coming so removed all the leaves and the result is what you can see, that bonsai.. Spotted 2 dead material points in big colas, that i removed after drying.. I did not weight the plant wet because of the smell that i had on my house that day, things went very tense, i was a bit busy, and even, it has not much sense to me, im better weighting the dry material. So at the end i think im having very good quality, and the affected parts are less than i thouth at first, so im very happy with the results.. On the scales are the best buds, the rest is the lower part of the colas that were less developed so im doing hash with that part.. I finally broke a pound with a single autoflower! Couldn’t have done it without AGLEX cob led’s, Remo Nutrients, and coco coir. They’ve changed my game completely! This grow started off as a pretty standard grow. I did absolutely no training until the veg period was winding down, and pre-flower was beginning. As the SCROG net went in, a little later than planned, numb fingers due to cervical spinal issues, and a poorly time muscle spasm, I snapped the main stalk...disaster right? Apparently not! They’re tough plants! Within a day or so she was perked up and sending up new colas from all the growth nodes now exposed to the 2000w AGLEX cob led’s. These lights have transformed my grow process, and increased my yields by over 300% compared to my old led’s, and only draws 408w from the wall. 1.23g/w is quite satisfactory I didn’t have much tucking to do this grow after the original SCROG. Due to the fact I was a little late getting the SCROG net in place, she didn’t have too much stretch left in her, she certainly fattened up quite nicely though, almost too much so in places. The front left side of the SCROG net got awfully crowded with huge buds packed tightly together. Lesson learned...keep the branches spaced apart slightly further, and maybe allow slightly more vertical growth of the colas to allow slightly better light, and air flow penetration. My issue is I only have 6 foot ceilings in my tents. The ceiling in my grow room is only a little over 6’2”. I managed, through SCROG techniques, without topping or fimming, to keep the top of my canopy 24” from the floor. This allows plenty of space above for the AGLEX cob, and exhaust fan. After last feeding I flushed with just Ph’ed water for 5 days, then gave the plant 48 hours of darkness, to rid itself of chlorophyll before harvesting on November 4th and hanging in a drying rack. It’s still curing in jars but after trying a few samples, it’s an awesome strain, and hits hard. It’s not as hard as it sounds to fill a 4x4 tent with a single autoflower, and still pull 18 ounces (504g) out of that tent. With simple SCROG technique, defoliation, quality grow medium you can achieve the same results. Of course you’ll need an AGLEX 2000w cob, but for an 18 ounce return on a $300CAD light, in 3 months, it’s a no brainer folks! You won’t find a better light under $300 Canadian. You’ll also need a quality nutrient line, and it’s hard to go wrong with the Remo Supercharged Kit. The proof of those 2 products quality are in my harvest. Holy fucking shit. I upped the E.C. to around 1.9 and it seems she LOVES it. Since the change (from 1.2 to 1.8) she suddenly draws 5L of water a day and the buds are starting to form. I can clearly already see the typical "cali" US genetics on this plant and i'm very excited to see that develop! Pretty sure i could have achieved the same state with only 6 weeks of veg, but i had to veg her longer for some other plants. Im curious, what she will yield, if someone can guess, i would be happy Take care of yourself, this will be a banger grow!

growing happily along, platinum yeti stretching more then sour 76. defoliate day 21 . smell starting to come on, stopped using foliar feed this week, been on top of hitting compost teas every single off watering (1 feed heavy 16 nutes, 1 compost tea when coco dries. repeat).

Very big leaves and a good growth. One week more and I'm going to switch to 12/12

Alcapulco Gold plants (3) are between 12”-14” and still receiving only pH balanced H2O. The other 2 strains are receiving nutrients listed above.

Every 5± days from week 5 I suppose I get rid of below leaves and big fan leaves,which don't let the light get to the bottom buds,as was recommended in comments. They react good on that kind of stress and the bottom buds started developing too. Despite the high temperature( 28-30 degrees) they keep on growing and forming buds,happily.

Everything is looking good so far, gonna do start some LST this week and continue feeding 1 time per week at .5 tsp to a gallon. Gonna take pictures when I can but will be doing weekly for sure.

Day 101, 12th of November 2020: All good. Poor girl too many buds lol some buds are bending too heavy for her haha.... Well, day 102 now so 3 days more and the 7th week starts. Harvest comes very soon I think in 10 days but may be earlier a bit trying to extend till the 8th week of flowering but she seeems to be ready but still giving some more time for sure ;)

The first week of the 12/12 cycle went without any problems. The scrog is going fine and I've done some pruning & defoliation underneath the screen making it easier to water them. On day 40 (5th day of this week) I spotted the first pre-flowers. I gave them tapwater with Plagron nutrients once this week. The rest of the week I gave them ph adjusted tapwater every other day (Ec 0.46 - ph 6.1 - 1 liter each/48h) The cobs stayed at the same height and power as last week (43 cm/17 inch and 188 watt – DLI 28 – PPFD 648) On the last day it got a bit brighter again with the cobs at 40 cm/15.75 inch and 208 watt.
